Thin Love #1-3.5

Ohana Legacy

Rate this book
Eden Butler bids a final farewell to her Thin Love series, with the Ohana Legacy: The Thin Love Series Bundle.

This bundle begins with Keira and Kona's long journey to their HEA, to Ransom and Aly and the struggle to keep their family intact. This bundle includes all three full-length Thin Love novels, the My Beloved novella, and My Always, a deleted scene story, all of which encompass the Thin Love series.

Love is constant and real love, thick love, only happens once in a lifetime.

THIN LOVE (Book 1)

Love isn’t supposed to be an addiction. It isn’t supposed to leave you bleeding. Kona pushed, Keira pulled, and in their wake, they left behind destruction. She sacrificed everything for him. It wasn’t enough. But the wounds of the past can never be completely forgotten and still the flame remains, slumbers between the pleasure of yesterday and the thought of what might have been.

MY BELOVED (Book 1.5)

Kona Hale was a blinding flame that Keira Riley gladly burned inside—his touch, his kiss, his overwhelming love, all made her desperate and desired, made her believe in a love worth bleeding for. But when you fall in love with an NFL darling who can’t seem to let go of the spotlight, sometimes even that flame can be lost behind the brilliant flash of fame.

THICK LOVE (Book 2)

Ransom Riley-Hale’s friends think his life is charmed, but that brilliant shine on the surface hides the darkness beneath. Aly King surges into his life threatening to pull him from the darkness. But the shadows are relentless, resurfacing when he thinks he is safe and Ransom knows he must keep Aly from them too before he pulls her down into the darkness with him.

THICK & THIN (Book 3)

My love was thick. Her faith was thin. Somewhere in the middle is where life found us. She was my first thought every morning, my last smile at night, and a million memories in between. Then Aly King walked away from me, from us, from our life.

MY ALWAYS (Book 3.5)

Every marriage has a moment—it defines the future, it settles doubt. That moment comes for Keira Riley-Hale when her marriage is threatened and she forgets how to find her way back to her husband. Will a brief getaway to the Tennessee mountains bring Keira and Kona to the moment that changes everything in their marriage? Or will that moment never come?

Eden Butler is a writer of contemporary, fantasy, and romantic suspense novels and the nine-times great-granddaughter of an honest-to-God English pirate. This could explain her affinity for rule breaking and rum.

When she's not writing or wondering about her possibly Jack Sparrowesque ancestor, Eden patiently waits for her Hogwarts letter, reads, and spends too much time in her garden perfecting her green thumb while waiting for the next New Orleans Saints Super Bowl win.

She is currently living under teenage rule alongside her husband in southeast Louisiana.

I read this series one by one and with each new book I fell more in love with the Riley-Hale crew. Eden Butler writes an exquisite love story that spans the years and brings about great heartache but rewards the reader with romance that will stand the test of time.

Beginning with Kona and Keira in Thin Love and My Beloved, the fiery couple don't give an inch but love so fiercely you just know they were truly meant to be.

Then as we get Ransom's story in Thick Love, it clearly shows the apple does not fall far from the tree. His journey with Aly King is at times bittersweet yet is full of so much love. He is truly his mother AND father's son and his love story is just as epic.

And with Thick & Thin, we get more of Ransom and Aly but get the added bonus of a bit more angst wrt Kona and Keira. This one was my absolute favorite and a great way to end the series.

My Always gives us one more look into Kona and Keira and their seemingly happy life. A bump in the road almost derails their peaceful ride and it's worth your time to see how they find love to be the everlasting bind that will keep them together forever.

A series I devoured and cannot recommend highly enough. Grab your copy and read real romance that will warm my heart.

5 huge stars!

Thin Love:
I had read Thick Love first, and I fell in love. Now, after reading Thin Love, I cannot wait to read more from this author.
Beautiful characters with such depth - and I cannot wait for the third installment!!

My Beloved:
I loved revisiting the characters of this book!! Cannot wait for more of this series!!

Thin Love:
So, I'm just finishing this book, and it's taking me a minute to work through all my thoughts.
This book is amazing - that I can tell you.
Watching Ransom torment himself over something he couldn't have stopped...or, he could have, but his fear pushed him to the events that caused his pain.
To watch Aly fall for him, even though she knew what she was giving to him might not be returned.
Watching Ransom's family root for them to get together, even when neither thought it would happen.
And the ending...I think that's what's holding me up the most. I won't talk about what happens, but I cannot wait to see the next book!!

Eden is a wonderful writer. This is the first of her books that I've read, and I will be checking to see if Thin Love is her only other book. Any and all of my friends should check this out ASAP!!

Thick & Thin:
About a year ago, I came across Eden Butler's work when I read Thick Love. From that point on, I couldn't get my hands on her books quick enough. She has this way with her characters that makes you feel like you know them, or knew them, or would love to meet them.
They're real.
Ok, ok, I know they aren't real, but they feel real.
Ransom and Aly are no different. To understand their whole story, it's best to read the entire series.
The way book 2 ended...I wanted to scream and throw my kindle. Book 3 starts at the same time, and you know what you want to happen, and I read and read with tears forming in my eyes waiting and wanting that moment.
I'm not going to spoil it. If you read Thick Love, you know their history. You know where it's starting. If you read Thick and Thin, you'll know the rest of the story.
I highly recommend it!

These books have pushed a lot of limits and boundaries for me.

Sit right back, while I tell them to you.

First of all, let me tell you how much I loved the books. Each and every one of them. I loved the characters. I'm gaga over the heroes. Both father and son.

Second of all, they're slow burn. While I didn't used to mind this a while back, I've recently had bad experiences with them because they were dragged out. To me, there's a fine line between slow burn and dragged out. But these were truly slow burn, I never felt bored one minute and they consumed me. I didn't want to put them down, but alas, I had to sleep, and I actually missed the characters and was eager to read while at work.

Drama. I don't mind it in a book. But again, there's a limit as to what I can endure. If there's constant drama, just for the hell of it, just to fill the pages, that's a big nope for me and I move along. So. These books have a lot of drama. More than I like in a book. Were some of them OTT? Yes. Did that stop me from reading? No. Consumed, I was.

Freaking love triangles. They're the devil and I hate them. I stay the hell away from them. So color me pink when I encountered it in this series. I was sure I was going to DNF it, at one point. I was waiting for that moment to happen. The moment I'd come to hate the heroine and want to smack her upside the head. While I did want to do the latter - frustrating, I'm telling you - the moment for me to DNF didn't come. It just did NOT come.

I am truly and madly and deeply in love with the Riley-Hale men and where the hell can I find one of my own?

Anyway, the reason why I didn't give the books 5+++ stars was because of the editing. I get it, it's impossible to have a spotless, typo- and error-free book but these would have needed another round. It took away from the story, it was distracting in some places and it's such a pity because the books are good.

Will I reread them? Probably. Do I recommend them? Definitely. 4 stars, for the entire series. I'm sad it's over but happy for the HEAs.

The definition of Ohana as part of the Hawaiian culture means family. Whether the person is blood or not they are family. The Ohana Legacy is wonderfully written story that covers the five books of the Thin Love Series and spans two generations. The series starts with Keira and Kona as they meet and then loose each other for sixteen years, only to have a second chance together with their son, Ransom. The books go on to Ransom and Aly's story as they too work through their trials to find each other again. I found this series wonderful to read, would recommend it to anyone who loves to read stories that cover more than one generation.

Complete...

I got this omnibus to get my fill of Kona and Keira. I have the individual books, but I couldn’t resist reading about these two legendary lovers again, including the extensive epilogue. Their love child Ransom, also has his story told. I love the series, and Eden Butler made it possible to have the stories in one book. Awesome!

So I read Thin Love back in 2015 I think. And the storyline has NEVER left my memory, was recenty recounting it to a friend and looked it up, not knowing that there were more books to the first. I am so gonna be missing this family now that I'm done reading all the instalments. A bittersweet feeling. In love with them all😍😍😍

Think love

I so loved this family and this story. I laughed and cried. The love that both of these couple's shared is something every girl would give her right arm for. I highly recommend this story. Between the strong women, twists and turns, this story was amazing

This is an amazing series. It is a must read. The love story spans a lifetime for Kona and Keira. They find each other as young college kids. They are ripped apart, and then beautifully put back together again. I absolutely loved their story.
