Tanner Hill is better at communicating with animals than women. That might be why he hasn’t had a second date in over two years. He’s also been extremely busy with his kennel that has become the premier training facility, specializing in supplying dogs to veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Then again, there is this psychologist he can’t get out of his head, or his heart.
Dr. Bailey Conrad would never allow the loss of half her right leg to an IED in Iraq to stop her. Every day at the VA hospital she sees patients who have lost so much more to the war effort. It’s her goal in life to help as many vets as possible to find a 'new normal', because she knows firsthand, it’s the internal scars that can be the most difficult to heal.
KaLyn Cooper’s romances blend fact and fiction with blazing heat and heart-pounding suspense. Twenty-two years as a military wife has shown KaLyn the world, and thirty years in PR taught her that fact can be stranger than fiction. She leaves it up to the reader to separate truth from imagination. She, her husband, and bird dog live in Tennessee on a micro-plantation filled with gardens, cattle, and quail. When she’s not writing, she’s at the shooting range or on the river.
I really loved the opening of this story. A perfect introduction to our main characters. Tanner you may remember from Unrelenting Love since he trained both Damnit and his owners. He trains service dogs for veterans and Apollo and Chrys are his mating pair. Apollo has provided him with several male service dogs and it looks like this latest birthing will be more of the same.
We meet Bailey while Chrys is giving birth. She's on her way to meet up with her military friends, but stops by with information for Tanner on the latest Vets approved for his dogs. She is thrilled to be involved in the birthing process of these new pups. Of course Case, Tanner's friend and vet has to show up just as things were about to get interesting.
After Chrys gives birth to her last pup, a girl, Tanner asks Bailey to name her. Love is born in those few minutes and not just between Bailey and Noel. Tanner definitely has more than a professional interest in Bailey. Proving it as he escorts Bailey to her car by asking, or was he telling her she is his date for Case's New Year's Party.
With Bailey training for the Paralympic Team and Tanner going back to school they have difficulty coming together. Once they do, it is both an emotional and sensual explosion. Fan's self, and there is no sex in this book!
We also see many puppy antics that will make you giggle.
KaLyn makes you feel everything her characters are going through and this book is emotional with highs and lows. There is a lot of information hidden in it about PTSD and Veteran Suicide. Rough topics that need to be brought out in any forum we can get them in. This book inspires a big Thank You to all our Serving and Veteran Military for their service and sacrifices.
Right time, right place A delightful story about puppies being trained as psychiatric service dogs. Dr Bailey Conrad is ex SpecOps but due to an IED now has a prosthetic leg. Since that fateful day she has ‘found her new normal’, practicing psychology and treating veterans; as well as training for the Paralympics. Tanner Hill is also ex military EOD, returning to his hometown he breeds dogs and trains them to become service dogs. The two of them have been working together for some time when Bailey decides to try and move their friendship to the next level, having previously kept things light and casual. Little does she know that Tanner has been dreaming of her but has kept things professional in case it didn’t work out. The story follows the pair of them building a relationship. I received a complimentary copy of these books from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
Tannner trained service dogs for Veterans. Bailey worked with Vets. She would help Tanner by giving him instructions on what the vets needed from the dog. Tanner really likes Bailey but is concerned due to the fact that he doesn't know how to get past the first date. He is more comfortable around dogs. Bailey really likes Tanner but is worried due to not having a date since her accident. She goes to Tanner's place to take him cookies and just happens to show up when Tanner is helping his dog have her puppies. While there, after the vet shows up, another puppy is born and it is a female. Bailey gets to pick her name and chooses Noel. Bailey has to leave right after in order to go spend Christmas with the ladies of Black Swan. Bailey is training for the paraolympics. She is so excited when she makes the team. The ladies bring Tanner and Noel to watch. Will Tanner be able to finally have a relationship with Bailey? Very touching story. I enjoyed it very much and hope you all do too?
Tanner and Bailey are coworkers who have been dancing around each other for awhile. They both are unsure if they should take that next step. Their working relationship is too important.
One night Bailey happens to be at Tanner's place when one of his dogs goes into labor. She witness a birth for the first time and she is forever changed. The biggest change is accepting an invitation to a party with Tanner.
Reading about these two who are genuinely good people work at trying to make something of this relationship was fun to read. It was nice to read that both of them had insecurities about different things but they weren't willing to let that get in the way of starting this relationship.
This one was a dangerous one in a cute cover. As you read it, it will slowly melt your heart and emotions pulling on them with the characters, puppies and words. As you follow more closely Tanner in this one you watch his relationship with Bailey come about and grow. How it does has you captivated with the courage and needs but also the why's. I do so like how this author weaves the romance in this keeping it hot but alluring that is why I read romance captured right here. The erotic part I can leave because by the time you get to my age you want a story with romance that is intriguing and gripping, already know who the rest happens lol. This is also about healing that grips you from the inside.
Noel's Puppy Power is a fantastic contemporary romance by KaLyn Cooper. Ms. Cooper has provided readers with a fantastic story loaded with outstanding characters. Tanner trains service dogs for vets. Bailey lost part of her leg serving her country and is now a psychologist and training for the Paralympics. Tanner and Bailey's story is packed with drama, humor, spice and puppy goodness. I enjoyed reading Noel's Puppy Power and look forward to reading more from KaLyn Cooper in the future. Noel's Puppy Power is book 1.5 of the Black Swan Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Tanner Hill a puppy lover and trainer has it bad for Dr. Bailey Conrad a amputee Veteran. Working together She determined which veterans would benefit from having a psychiatric service dog and told him what to train the dog to do.
After delivering puppy's together, spending New Years Eve together and working together. They are falling for each other. Tanner sees pass Bailey's Handicap to the wonderful woman she is inside and out. Bailey gets Tanner to see that there is life outside of raising and training his beloved puppies.
Watching them fall in love with each other and Bailey fall in love with him and his dogs is heartwarming.
A sweet fun novella that is a great addition to the Black Swan Series. The Ladies make a few appearances to show the love and family bond for one of their own. Dr. Bailey Conrad was one of them and is now a psychiatrist working with Veterans. Tanner Hill is ex military and now breeds dogs and trains them to become service animals. Noel, the puppy, helps to bring them together. It is a great short story that not only tugs at your heartstrings, but also informs us about the difficulties our Veterans face upon their return to civilian life. Trying to find their "new normal". I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated or required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed is my own.
Highly recommended - Sweet novella suiting the upcoming holiday season or any other time Army veteran, PhD Bailey Conrad specialises in psychology. Working with veterans, she certifies veterans needing psychiatric service dogs. She’s attracted to Tanner Hill who is a talented dog trainer and also a veteran. The trained dogs enhance a veteran’s emotional security. Bailey also catches up briefly with her military friends Katlin, Grace, Lei Lu, Tori, Nita and Harper which you may know of from the Ladies of Black Swan. Not rated M or R. FYI, Noel’s Puppy Power is part of the Dog Tags for Christmas anthology.
I loved this book. One of the things I really love about KaLyn Coopers work is the details. Some of the details in this book are ones I wish people took more notice of. Our Vets and their families give up so much, I'm grateful there are groups out their that do programs like this. I'm grateful that writer's like KaLyn and so many others spin amazing stories while imparting important details the rest of us should absolutely be aware of. As always this author has fully fleshed out the characters and this world. If it's one of KaLyns books you literally can't go wrong!
OMG! This is such a sweet novella! I didn't realize that Bailey was part of the Black Swan group. I felt so bad for her when that IED exploded and she lost part of her leg. I am happy she is still friends with the Black Swan group. Tanner is the man of Bailey's life and I am happy these two found their happily ever after. Their love story is so sweet. Noel is really cute. FANTASTIC job KaLyn! I would recommend this book.
Loved this story about the training of support dogs. Noel was something else. Caitlyn and Tanner's story was a true love story. And I loved the story about paralympics. Any story about wounded warriors is a plus for me. Tanner trains puppies for veterans with PTSD and other military disorders. Excellent story.
Just finished Tanner and Bailey's story, it's a great short story that keeps you entertained till the end. It also brings to light the very real obstacles our veterans go through when they come back home. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #kalyncooper #blackswan #noel #ptsdservicedogs
I adored this sweet romance between Bailey and Tanner. Throw in some Golden Retriever puppies and it was a can't miss book for me. The plot/story-line was great. I loved seeing Bailey succeed at something she worked so hard for. Tanner is taking on new challenges as well. Fabulous writing, and wonderful characters. Another win from KaLyn Cooper!
I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved the chemistry between Tanner and Bailey! I Loved the puppy Noel also! I know everyone who reads this book will enjoy it as well as I did! I will definitely recommend this book to others!
A cute novella. Tanner and Bailey are cute together and puppies make everything better, and occasionally destroy everything around them. It’s short and sweet.
A super fast read that triggers the emotions. So much packed into this novella with Tanner and Bailey. Love the fur babies and the importance of service dogs.
This was a very sweet story and loved reading about Tanner and Bailey. This was a story about a strong woman and alpha male who was also tender hearted.
I loved Tanner, Bailey and Noel. Seeing all the other characters was great also but getting know these two in a bit more depth was amazing. I love what they individually do and as a couple.
I loved Tanner & Bailey story and how friends who work together helping veterans with finding their service dogs. Plus that she was a lady of the Black swans herself. Thanks for a great story KaLyn.

OMG I LOVED this book. This is such a cute story and Noel is such a cute puppy. How could Bailey not fall in love with her? Bailey and Tanner are perfect for each other they just didn't realize it. Tanner thinks Bailey is to far out of his league because she went to college and is a doctor but he doesn't have any college. He trains dogs for veterans who need service dogs and Bailey is the one who refers the veterans to Tanner. They both realize they want more that a professional relationship but are having trouble finding time to get together other than professionally. There are a lot of emotions that are dealt with because Bailey is an amputee and thinks that she won't be good enough for Tanner. She also needs a "service" dog but doesn't realize it and Tanner is out to convince her that she needs to take Noel without her realizing that is what he is doing.
Will they be able to make a relationship work between them or will they just keep it professional. Will Bailey take Noel as a pet (because Noel is too high strung for a service dog) or will Tanner have to give her to the Rescue?
