There wasn't anything wrong with this one. I just couldn't get into it. I didn't particularly like the heroine. And it had some overused cliché OW drama that I have read in about 50000 other romance books. But like I said the writing was very good. It had a nice flow to it etc. I'd definitely give this author another chance in the future.

Sometimes a book just doesn't work for the mood I am in. It doesn't mean it is a bad book and my DNFing it shouldn't be taken as a reflection of that.

This book... HOLY HELL... I don't even know if I can give it enough praise. 5 stars are nowhere near the rating this book should have its a 10 in my book. Being Stoni's first book I can definitely see her going places. Mitus Touch was superb. Waking up this morning I was at 5% when I started reading again and that was all she wrote for my day. I could not put this book down.

Stoni has the ability to capture your attention and hold it throughout the entire book. The Mitus Touch is full of drama, suspense, romance, it's scorching hot in places and has characters (main and secondary) that you will fall in love with. You never know what is going to happen next and are constantly trying to figure out who is doing what.

The lies, betrayal, and sabotage that fills these pages will have you sucked in forgetting everything around you. (at least it did for me) Stoni makes your emotions take a ride on a roller coaster, your heart beat out of your chest, and have you on the edge of your seat ready to chew off a nail or two...

Now the characters... Brigit is loyal, caring, smart as a whip, knows her job as a wealth manager and could do the job in her sleep. Not only that but she's a firecracker and sassy as hell. She hates Colton Mitus and with good reason. He ruined her life years before after she lost her parents.

Colton is a sexy man who has to be in control. Of EVERYTHING. With his finances dwindling away he has to hire a wealth manager, which is where he meets Brigit.

The chemistry and all that happens between these two will have you loving them but then hating them at times. So many times I wanted to scream at Colton and just shake him while asking what are you doing, get it together man...

I cannot wait for the next story from Stoni that has Colton's sister and his best friend :)

1 Kiss

Ugh…I really, supremely hate writing these reviews. I don’t like feeling like I am giving up…but sometimes it just has to be done, and I’ve done this enough times to know when a book isn’t working for me. I really liked the sound of The Mitus Touch…the blurb hooked me and I was on board to see where Brigit and Colton were going to take me. Sadly, it was a combination of a few factors that had me stepping away from this one.

My main thing when I read a book is I need to feel something…with the characters, the story – something! It’s what grabs me and keeps me turning the pages. Initially I had a lot of curiosity, about both Brigit and Colton…superficially they seemed like intriguing characters but as the story went on I realized what was lacking…I had no emotional connection to them what so ever. Through the course of what I read they both have a handful of encounters that should/would normally illicit some kind of emotional response…and I got the facts but no feeling. The facts were fine…entertaining to a certain degree, but I needed more. There was one specific scene with Brigit and her apartment that there was seriously prime opportunity to show some kind of emotional response and it was just not there IMO. Part of the reason why I had the emotional disconnection might have been because the book is in third person – I don’t mind third, but I do prefer first.

Another thing that bugs me with any book I read is…repetition. If I feel like I am being fed the same thing over and over again, I’m going to start rolling my eyes. It’s a hand-in-hand reaction, I literally cannot even control it at this point. I’m not saying the words were exactly the same…sometimes they were, but not always…but I got to the point where I felt like if I heard certain phrases or the characters didn’t stop harping on the same thought, then I was going to scream. Specifically…how they needed to stay away from each other but they just couldn’t contain their attraction to each other. I get it…or at least, I want to – because I love that angsty pull and force where you want the couple to be together even though they can’t/shouldn’t be together…I live for that, but that’s not what I got.

There were other things…picky stuff like relating to her taking/not taking the job – it got really weird and confusing at parts and sometimes I never knew what she was thinking because what she was saying and what she was doing were two different things. The flow was a little weird at times…things that I wanted to be explained were kind of skimmed and yet other details were explained in depth, I never really knew what to expect. On top of the repetitive thoughts the characters were having, there were also some cheesy lines that kept coming up – they were along the same vein of how attractive they found each other, but it was a bit much for me. Once again, I know when all of the little random stuff is irking me (when normally it wouldn’t) that it’s time to stop before I get really annoyed. It was also frustrating to give up because I did feel like the writing was strong, original and unique and I did like it, which is why I pushed myself to read as much of The Mitus Touch as I could but it just didn’t work out for me.

It seems that I am late to the party for this wonderful debut novel that had me so engrossed I didn't want to put it down. New to me author Stoni Alexander did a magnificent job with this book so much so that I totally forgot it was her first book until the very end where she thanked her readers for taking the journey with her. There were secrets and twists that kept me on the edge of my seat plus the chemistry between Colton and Brigit was SCORCHING HOT!

Title: The Mitus Touch
Author: Stoni Alexander

5 amazing stars

Alright, i have to come out and say it: i was so horribly wrong. When i looked at the title of Stoni Alexander's first novel, The Mitus Touch, i honestly thought i'd be reading a book that had some paranormal aspects; i'm not quite sure why my brain went right for that, but it did. Maybe the title? Or maybe because i simply didn't take a second to read the blurb before diving right into this book, which i know i didn't. But that was the best misconception i could have every had! Why? Because i was more than a little surprised by the contents. A whole lot surprised by how i connected with the characters. And especially floored by how much i loved this book. Never would i have expected to see a corporate tycoon such as Colton Mitus make me want to meet him in real, especially considering just how he can dominate a room, a person and a situation with his mere presence, although i'll hand it to Brigit, she knows how to handle the kind of man that would make her want to feel nothing but his touch on her.

4.5 sexy dreams

Together, these two were electric. They were the kind of couple that made me dream almost wistfully, hoping that somewhere (and if i were single of course) a man like that exists. Not without their own faults, they truly do have something that makes them perfect for one another. Every aspect of this book, from the chemistry between Colton and Brigit, to the suspense of what would happen to Brigit's family company, and even the complete unexpectedness of events that happen in between, had me at the edge of my seat, truly wanting to find out what would happen next. It's the kind of read that makes me want to reread it over and over again, which is exactly what i'll be doing in the future, that's for sure!

Some parts I liked, some I did not.

Let me start by saying, I really am hundred percent impressed with how the story turned out. I did not expect some things to happen the way they did and that made all the difference. The plot , therefore, is my favourite part of it all.

The characters were good too. They turned out, as I believe, the author intended them to. Did I become a gigantic fan of them, maybe not but I definitely am a fan.

The story starts when Colton Mitus goes looking for a new wealth manager and crosses paths with Brigit Farnay, the best of the best. But this particular employee comes with a secret to boast. We are privy to the internal struggle of our lead lady about a lot of stuff from the get go but she finally does take the opportunity provided by our hero. Soon we see both Brigit and Colton working together towards a common goal.Things happen, past slowly creeps in, secrets are revealed and we are introduced to some very deranged characters...

The only thing I found a bit not upto what I would have expected, is the execution. It was good, but it could have been better. I found the ending a bit rushed considering the events that unfolded. But otherwise it was alright.

Read it and I will see you on the other side !

The Mitus Touch is an intriguing story. With lust and Secrets at every corner.

Brigit has been wanting to take down Colton. For her parents. Getting back everything, That was rightfully hers. Colton being the man that she’s been after for years.

But not everything is as it seems to be.  There’s a lot of drama and twists throughout the story. It did feel a bit Soap Opera-ish.

Lately, I’ve been having a hard time connecting with characters. And really connecting with the story, when it’s third POV. Obviously, it’s just a preference and not everyone has this issue. The writing was good. I thought that it had originality. But It didn’t pull at me. It did take me awhile to finish. I just did not feel the attraction between the both of them.

This is Stoni’s debut Novel. From what I can gather. I can see the storytelling to get even better. Overall, I have to give this Three Boundless Stars.

Honestly this book was just not the book for me - not to say it won't be the perfect fit for someone else - I found Colton lacking as a character and I found the entire book progressed way too slow for my liking - over descriptiveness had the book moving at a slow pace. I loved the beginning it started off great but then it tapered off for me about 15% in and I found myself just not wanting to keep going - overall not a bad book once you get through the meat of it though.

Summary from the prologue: Brigit Farnay despises Colton Mitus. And with good reason. He ripped away from her family's company during the most painful time in her life. Forced to work with him, she can't deny that Colton is gorgeous, brilliant, commanding. And the enemy. Her traitorous body craves his touch every moment of the day. And then she finds out about the erotic games he plays...

When reading the prologue my mind went to, "Oh here's another story like 50 Shades, This Man series or even The Fixed Series, but no this story stood on its own.
I started this book on Friday around 9 pm and finished all 57 chapters early the next morning. Yes, that's right I pulled an all-nighter with this one. Honestly, how could I not? Author Stoni Alexander nailed every part of this story. The characters were interesting and as a reader, I was able to connect with them. Colton's character was erotic, a control freak, but OMG sexy. He is the definition of an alpha male. As for Brigit, the author wrote her out to be sweet, but don't let her charming ways full you because she is definitely a force to be reckoned with.
The author's writing style is different from what I have read before. I actually stopped and informed a fellow reader of mine that the wording and the way the story was told was kind of poetic, and that is the best way I can describe it. And don't laugh but I kept picturing model Fabio while reading. Yes, the guy who has graced all the old romance covers. For some odd reason, I felt like his face would have fit the cover more. I don't know why, LOL! Although I loved the characters I at times wanted to jump into the pages and scream WHY!
The intimate scenes were classy and not so raunchy and this was also new to me. One thing I don't really care for when reading is POV's, but I was so lost in the story I really didn't notice.
Overall this book is worth it! Every page will have you at the edge of your seat and once you start I promise you will shut the world out and get lost in this amazing story of lies, betrayal and hot passion.

It’s here! The Mitus Touch by Stoni Alexander is now live! I loved reading this book and wanted to share my review! This book was a great romance story and different in so many ways that I fell for the characters and the writing from this author. The Mitus Touch is scorching hot and steamy it was hard putting this book down. I cleared my schedule to take a couple of days to enjoy this amazing read. Did I mention that there is a lot of drama along with a hot romance story? I was constantly guessing who did so much sabotage to these characters lives and at the end was shocked of the outcome. I loved this book so much and for it being the author's debut book, it will blow you away like no other.

Brigit is a firecracker, but very loyal and caring. She has been burned by Colton Mitus in the past and has been working to get what is due back to her. I do not want to spoil this story for any of you, but just know there is betrayal, deceit, and certain loyalties are tested. You learn that not all things are what they appear. Brigit has been through the ringer and Mr. Mitus has been on her enemy lines for years. Do I have you intrigued now?

Colton is a sexy and hot dominant man. He has some demons of his own and when he finances are becoming to much of a problem, he turns to a firm and meets Brigit. She comes highly recommended and for some reason he knows he has to have her on board. So much happens between these two that they will make you have a hate/love relationship with them.

The emotions were off the rocker with this book. The sexy scenes had my brain on overload! If you love the Romance genre with a beautiful crazy dramatic storyline, you must read The Mitus Touch! You will not be disappointed.

Thank you so very much Ms.Alexander!! I am extremely honored and grateful!! :)

4 Can't Stay Away Stars!!

I really liked this debut novel by Ms.Alexander!! I wasn't quite sure what to expect at first. As I kept reading I couldn't turn away from this story. It drove me nuts in a great way. It was suspenseful, sexy, frustrating, and quite intense!! I enjoyed how it kept me on my toes until the very end. I did not expect some of those twists and turns!! I was so happy that it was told in Dual POVs. At times I wanted nothing more than to shake some sense into the two main characters.

Ms.Alexander created a fantastic debut novel!! She took me by surprise with how action packed it was. I loved the fact that the secondary characters grabbed my attention as much as the main ones. After meeting "Goth Girl" in this installment I'm looking forward to reading her book The Wilde Touch when it comes out!! :)

Colton Mitus and Brigit Farnay's story is filled with secrets and danger lurks around every corner. Will they stick together? Or will the truth tear them apart? You think you have it all figured out? Think again. ;)

If you haven't already checked this one out do it Today!! I hope you like this one as much as i did my fellow book lovers!! 4 Stars all around!! :)

This was awesome! I started reading an hour before bed, thinking I’d get some read before passing out for the night - but no, I had to stay up until I finished it. Normally, I enjoy reading romance because, well… to be honest, I really enjoy the smut. But in this book, the smut just added to what was seriously a very intriguing story. I couldn’t put it down. The story itself is classic - a woman with a secret she needs to keep hidden from the man she’s falling for - but author Stoni Alexander gives it her own spin, making this book unique.

This is one of those cases where I’m so glad this was offered to review, because I’m not sure I would have ever heard about it otherwise. And I would have been really missing out. I can’t praise this enough, it was just that good. This is the only book the author has written, which breaks my heart a little because I’d love to read more by her. But fear not! There will be another book in the Touch series coming later this year, featuring some different main characters. I can’t wait!

4.5* Mind blown that this was a debut novel!!! Totally shocked!!!!

Brigit is doing everything she can to get her parents company back from Colton Mitus. When circumstances throw them together sparks fly. He won't take no for an answer from her, he needs her expertise with his money. When Brigit has no other choice but to take the job, everything changes.

This book literally sucked me in and I would stay up late to read it after everyone was asleep - (I was on vacation) It kept me guessing on what was going on, who was doing what, the sexy times, the push and pull of their personal relationship, being what each other needed without losing themselves. Who was behind everything that was going on? I mean I was so engrossed!!! I had to know what was going to happen!

Was she going to be able to do what needed to be done without feeling like she was going to be losing everything she had worked for? Will they find out who is behind everything before it's too late? You definitely need to read this book!!! I cannot wait for the next book!!!

The Mitus Touch by Stoni Alexander gives us a refreshing take on the uber rich hero and the heroine that brings him to his knees. This novel was very sexy, had an engaging story and the hero and heroine had banter for days. I was hooked from page one and I could not stop reading. Colton and Brigit were fantastic together. I loved their fiery back and forth and their potent chemistry.

While usually secrets and secret identities are a huge no-no for me, (the stress and anxiety of the "big reveal" kill me), Alexander seamlessly weaves Brigit's deception into the storyline where we as the reader actually anticipate all the truths coming to light to resolve the story.

All in all, I was absolutely impressed by Ms. Alexander and her debut novel. I found The Mitus Touch to be compelling and multidimensional. It was filled with strong characters, a unique story and hot chemistry. While I did find some parts to be somewhat long-winded and too detailed/wordy, the story was great and cohesive. I look forward to reading the Wilde Touch! 4 stars ~Ratula

The Mitus Touch is the first book in the Touch Series and what a way to start a series!  I really liked this one a lot.  I hated when I would have to put it down, I wanted to lock myself in my room and ignore my husband and kids and just read.  There is drama, suspense, secrets,  a whole lot of sexiness, and characters that you can’t help but love and want more of.  Lately I have been becoming more picky at times with my books some that I thought I would love I hated, those I thought I would hate I loved, but The Mitus Touch was one going in that I knew I would love.

I don’t want to give anything away but Brigit and Colton will not only draw you in but have you addicted and needing more.  I absolutely was drawn into this story; I would recommend starting this when you don’t have plans later that day just so you don’t have to stop reading.  I can’t wait for the next book in this series and this book whore wants it now now now!

4 Stars!

The Mitus Touch has twists and turns at every page. An interesting read with lots of secrets.

Brigit wants revenge against Colton. She’s been planning this for years after he took everything away from her family. But, things take an interesting turn when she finally enacts her plan for revenge.

This book is full of intrigue and betrayal, revenge and secrets. The story is almost convoluted, but it works. This is an impressive debut effort from Stoni Alexander, who impressed me from the start. The characters are interesting and the writing flows quite well. I much prefer the 1st person POV, but this 3rd person POV was done well and clearly delineated the character lines that sometimes blur with the 3rd person POV.

A great debut novel full of romantic suspense!

It’s nearly inconceivable to me that I just read a debut novel, and not a latest offering from a well-seasoned romance writer. The Mitus Touch comes from Stoni Alexander, a new-to-all-of-us author that has very deftly proven her writing chops and has subsequently shot to the top of my list of favorite reads so far this year.

Scorching hot sex, chemistry, and a little kink and I loved it! Coltan and Brigit couldn't keep their relationship professional and made you glad they didn't. The interaction was great with secrets and a couple of surprises in the story. The other characters added to the story without taking away from Coltan and Brigit's story. All in all I really enjoyed this book kink and all.

How far would you go to get back what should be yours? And what if feelings that shouldn’t be there get involved? The Mitus Touch tells the story of Brigit and Colton, both successful in their own field of work, but who are more connected then they think. I’ve enjoyed reading this story.
“She was perfect. Not because she was beautiful and sexy, but because she wasn’t interested. Winning was all that mattered. The greater the challenge, the better, and Brigit Farnay was proving to be quite the firecracker.”

Brigit and Colton are both driven people, who excel at what they do. Brigit is a sought-after wealth manager for a top Washington firm and Colton is specialized in taking over other companies. When the two of them meet there’s an instant attraction which Colton doesn’t mind, but Brigit isn’t too keen on the idea. And she has good reasons; not only business-wise, but also from a personal view getting involved with Colton is not the smartest plan. But refusing a determined Colton isn’t as easy as it sounds…
“I want the best and you’re it.” Riveted by his intensity, she trembled. His warm breath puffed against her bone-dry mouth and she slowly moistened her lower lip. “Now, why don’t you answer my question? How long will you need to prepare your presentation, Brigit?”

Brigit is intrigued by Colton and what he has to offer, but she doesn’t give into him too easily. Colton is used to women going out of their way to get his attention, a woman who reacts the exact opposite is a welcome challenge. There’s much more to this couple then the present, both are formed by their past, and the past still dictates them. Colton is pretty much an open book about his younger years, but Brigit isn’t ready yet to give full disclosure. I love how Colton and Brigit are an evenly matched couple. Yes, he’s a rich man, but she’s no damsel in distress, and a smart woman who makes a good living for herself.

The Mitus Touch is Stoni Alexander’s debut book, and I’ve enjoyed reading it. It took me a couple of pages to get used to the writing style, but after that I finished to book in one sitting. The author has written a sensual love story, but there are also realistic details about Colton and Brigit’s work. The Mitus Touch contains everything I want a romantic book; a great leading couple, interesting side-characters and a good old-fashioned villain. One little thing… After all the talk about the kinky parties at the estate, I was a bit disappointed Colton didn’t give a party after he met Brigit…
“The truth could have ruined everything. “But it didn’t, Bridgit,” he said and kissed her hand. “No, it didn’t.” After running her fingers through his hair, she caressed his cheek. “My love found a home when you came into my life.”

Colton. What a name.

I’d like my future husband’s name to be Colton. I think this is a great addition to my never-ending checklist. Thank you Stoni Alexander for ruining me.

So, I read this series backward (typical, I know) but luckily these fabulous books are standalones. I can’t wait to share my review for the third that’s scheduled to be released on February 8, 2018. Ooo it’s good. Read it. Obsess over it. You’re welcome.

Each book exponentially approaches the limit of HOT. Is that a thing? Yes.

We are first introduced to Colton and his wicked ways. 😏 This man is DANGEROUS. Hide your clothes because he will solder them with his sexy-man gaze. At least that’s what happens to Brigit.

Brigit hates Colton. Brigit has bestowed upon herself the responsibility of ruining his life. He’s a traitor, scum, enemy, pick your insult—he’s it. But those eyes…Brigit wants him.

“…and then he smiled. A full-blown, testosterone-laden smile. A blast of heat coursed through her veins. Woah.”

Oh yeah! He has a wicked smile, too. Her wishy-washy emotions are more traitorous than Colton himself! Eep!

Brigit is determined to take control over what is rightfully hers. Colton is apparently a thief in her eyes, too, taking her family’s company. But she’s in for a wild surprise when Colton needs her help and he doesn’t take “no” for an answer.

Two words: Alpha. Male.

Oil and water. Fire and Ice. These two are opposites in every way. Of course, Stoni Alexander manages to break typical billionaire stereotypes and Colton becomes vulnerable, allowing Brigit to enter his life professionally and personally. *eyebrow waggle*

But vendettas don’t just disappear, right? Revenge comes before love, RIGHT?!

Oh, so right.

The Mitus Touch is filled with sweet deceit, lies and a happily ever after that truly surprised me. I mean, how these two found love after drowning in their pasts, fears and doubts of the future was a down right miracle. A miracle only Stoni Alexander can create.

The Mitus Touch is eloquent and unforgettable.

What A Web We Weave

Brigit Farnay, formerly Eve Francesco, hated Colton Mitus for taking over her family business 5 years earlier, and then blowing her off when she attempted to contact him. This all had occurred at a time when her life was in complete turmoil due to the death of her parents by a drunk driver, who was never convicted of that crime due to a legal technicality, so she set him up for another criminal conviction (resulting in the need to change her identity). Brigit's goal became to buy back a controlling share of stock in the company and then take the business back from Colton.

Little did Brigit imagine that she would cross paths with Colton long before this outcome, when he turns to the wealth management company she works for, seeking the assistance of their best wealth management consultant. Brigit initially refuses Colton's job offer, which only makes him pursue her that much harder, even though he realizes the potential for issues due to his attraction. Colton's proposal would require Brigit to work and live in his mansion, which she is adamantly opposed to doing. But she changes her mind after her home is savagely invaded and a threatening message is left on a mirror. She is sure this is payback for setting up the man who killed her parents.

As much as Brigit perceived Colton would be an entitled jerk, she finds the chemistry between them intense and his actions proving him to be other than she expected. Against both of their better judgments and wills, their relationship continues to develop. Then Wilson Montgomery, the ruthless CEO of Mobicom, launches a hostile takeover attempt of the company they are both invested in, forcing Brigit to decide between joining with Colton (and ultimately revealing her true identity) and fighting against the takeover or losing the company entirely to Mobicom.

This truly enjoyable standalone novel had just the right mix of an intriguing storyline, really good character development, and heat. It was one of those books you just don't want to have to put down. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an escape into a good book.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a well written book that comprises all the elements necessary to be successful. There is drama, hidden demons, dark pasts, conspiracies, suspense, mystery, danger, dealing with complex personalities, sexual kinks, unorthodox living arrangements, very hot and spicy romance. Eve Francesco/Brigit Farnay is the strong willed, determined, successful, focused, dedicated, loyal, discrete, talented corporate and individual wealth manager. Eve was the heir to the Francesco Company started by her parents Samantha Brigit Francesco and Nicholas Farnay Francesco. Eve had a strict upbringing however it was filled with lots of love. After Eve's parents death by a drunk driver who said he would be avenged by Eve's death because he went to jail. Eve was scared and disappeared and years later emerged as Brigit Farnay. When her parents died the company she was suppose to inherit was bought by Colton Mitus. Eve tried to contact Colton many times only to be turned away. When she reemerged as Brigit she was bound and determined to win her parents company back from Colton Mitus. When Colton appeared at her place of employment she recognized him but he did not know she was Eve Francesco. Brigit's boss recommended her to Colton as his wealth manager. She would have none of it. She refused and refused and refused. However after her house was broken into and trashed, she found a note on the mirror from the drunk driver she put in jail for her parents deaths. She freaked out and accepted Colton's offer to be his in-house wealth advisor. She had no where else to run and she did not want to endanger the lives of her friends. She felt the safest at Mitus Mansion. She was keeping secrets from Colton and he was hiding his dark side. The chemistry between them was intense, thrilling and hot. When they started sleeping together things got complicated. This is an exciting book and I highly recommend this to anyone with a sense of adventure.

The Big Bad Wolf🐺🍆🌋💪 and His Dirty Thoughts

The Heat 🔥 Of The Moment Shown In His Eyes.

Bad Boy Billionaire Investor, Colton🐺🍆🌋💪, needs a wealth manager. Whiz Money Manager, Sexy, Beautious, Brigit💃💋, needs a big💪 baaaad naaasssty sex toy bad boy🐺🍆🌋. What could go wrong?
Brigit's boss, the silver Fox, Seth, wants her to take Colton's offer of a live in Wealth manager. Colt🐺🍆🌋 operates his business out of his mansion. Seth will profit too, because Brigit💃💋 will be under his contract to Colt🐺🍆🌋.

Brigit💃💋 is working towards having the controlling ownership in Francesco Company, a company once owned by her family. She is secretly buying up shares. Her real name is Eve Francesco💃💋, and Colton🐺🍆🌋 took controlling interest of her father's company when her parents were killed. She's freaking out! Colt🐺🍆🌋 is polite to Brigit💃💋, but all the while he's talking to her about his businesses, he's looking at her and thinking veeeeerrrrry baaaad naaasssty unclean thoughts about what he wants to do to her body.

Brigit💃💋 is doing the same thing. She is imagining getting him into bed and licking👄 ALL his muscles💪, while at the same time she's talking about what she will do to make money for him.

Loved this book📑, although some of the bedroom dialog was stilted and stiff, the action definitely wasn't!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

My harlequin whore heart loved how dramatic and cheesy this book was but a few things just did not make sense. I loved the complexity of both brigit and colton individually but together even I was confused over some of their interactions. They would think one thing and then something different was happening as if that was planned all along. Take for example Brigit's reaction to what she thinks is Colton's gf...one minute her heart is broke and the next scene she's all business but also noticeably melting into a pile of goo from just hearing his voice.

The whole revenge plot and how brillant brigit was as a wealth management consultant was refreshing after reading so many simpering fmc's who always cave after one smoldering look from the mmc's. Colton's desires while different weren't all that kinky or taboo...maybe I'm just more jaded than I thought 🤔😏.

Another thing that rubbed me wrong was the set up for all the employees. I get living together under one roof would be good for workaholics like Colton but the after dinner impromptu bar/dance scenes between boss and employees was weird af not to mention the voyeuristic shows he would organize for them! Colt's continued blindness regarding Vanessa was extremely annoying for someone who has seen it all from all kinds of women.

Even with all that said I still really enjoyed the book and couldn't wait for the big reveal and conclusion! Debating if I want to continue with the second book cause I'm not a lover of the second chance trope.

The Mitus Touch is a great debut novel by Stoni Alexander.

Brigit Farnay is a successful wealth manager with demons from her past. She's dead set on reacquiring the company that was once her family's - The Francesco Company. To that end, she's been secretly buying up shares and hoping she can afford to buy enough to have a majority. Her parents were killed in a car accident and while she was grieving, Colton Mitus swooped in an bought the company. He never responded to her many requests for a sit down, and ever since she's despised him. So when her boss recommends her to Colton, she wants nothing to do with him. Nor does she want him to find out she's been buying up shares of Francesco. Her body has other ideas, though, and so does Colton, and soon they're indulging in a hot affair. It's not all passion and sexy romps, though, because someone or someones is after Brigit, someone she knows (or does she), another someone wants to force a hostile takeover of Francesco's, and there is at least one woman in Colton's life who is an obstacle to Colton and Brigit's relationship.

I thought The Mitus Touch was really hot, suspenseful and intriguing. Colton and Brigit both are multi-layered and likable characters who share an electric connection. I'm looking forward to much more from Stoni Alexander.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

The Mitus Touch is the first book in The Touch Series and it follows the story of Colton and Brigit. Colton is everything that Brigit hates. He's demanding, smart and totally gorgeous. Everything about him calls to her. He is the enemy and she knows she should stay away, but Brigit will quickly learn that staying away is easier said than done....Colton needs control in all things. He is sexy and powerful and isn't afraid to go after what he wants. He knows he should stay away from Brigit, but finds it impossible to fight the pull. Brigit challenges him in ways he never expected.... When the past resurfaces again, will Brigit and Colton be able to survive the fallout??? There is only one way to find out....

Overall, I thought this book was an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the writing style and was intrigued by the characters. I've been on a bit of a drama kick lately, so this story certainly suited my needs. The Mitus Touch is filled with romance, intrigue and suspense. It has just enough of steamy moments to balance out all the drama. This is my second book by this author and I really enjoyed getting lost in the story that she created. I can't wait to see what she's got up her sleeve for us next!

*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
