When Commander Vicente Zamora exonerated his captain for the murder of a young officer, he thought things would get better aboard his new ship. But he soon discovers that his troubles are just beginning, as the case against the XO doesn't go as smoothly as planned. To make matters worse, there's a connection to the notorious Khorsky Incident that becomes more insidious as time goes on. Meanwhile, his best friend Neil, an IDF Intel agent, is recruited for a secret mission by a super spy who is more than she appears--a mission to Vitaly Three, the scene where the Khorsky Incident took place.

"You have no idea what you're up against." Simply stunning. It starts with a running pace on page one and doesn't stop till the very end With crisp short chapters which flash between different places and protagonists, this can initially be, not confusing but slightly awe inspiring at the different characters brought into play. But sick with it: the whole quickly emerges into a very fast paced and extremely exciting whole, encompassing conspiracy, spies, murder, double-crossing, epic space battles, destruction of thousands, humour, hard fighting women, honourable men (and the other sort) ,- there's even a polar bear tucked in there, somewhere! It is a breathtaking read, in every sense of the word. Once started, it is almost impossible to put down. A brilliant addition to the Legacy Fleet World. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys space adventures, whether or not they are familiar with Nick Webb's Legacy Fleet series. Completely standalone, this story does point to others and, further, helps rounds out the entire World. A very useful list of protagonists, complete with very brief biography, appears at the end of the book. I am deeply indebted to the author, Christopher Valin, for gifting me a copy of his book. Thank you. Without his generosity, I would not have been able to enjoy this terrific read - for some reason we second class Amazon citizens living outside of the U.S.A. are unable to purchase these Kindle World stories. But if you are fortunate enough to be able to do so, buy Formidable now. And sit back to enjoy a really great story. More please
Another excellent standalone novel in the Legacy Fleet series the 2 converging story lines dovetail really well to produce a fast pace novel that puts another layer on the Khorsky incident and will be hard to put down you can't second guess what is going to happen because of the uncertainty of who is Swarm controlled and who isn't, leads to a cracking climax. Most definitely worth a read.
Formidible, by Christopher J. Valin, is a novel for the Legacy Fleet Universe. While it makes a great companion to the series by Nick Webb, it also works as a brilliant stand alone story. This page turner is full of exciting adventures, fast paced action and lovable characters. Well worth a read for you Sci-fi fans!
