"Now it is your turn to come to the threshing floor." "I believe this is a book that will be a lifelong manual for anyone with a passion to pray." -Juanita Bynum
THE PROCESS OF PRAYER NEVER ENDS.
The Father has issued a clarion call for His children to get acquainted with Him. Juanita Bynum wants to bring you to the threshing floor-the place to total surrender to Him in prayer and intercession. From the outer court to the most holy place, she offers prophetic insights and biblical explanations to help you move through progressive steps of prayer. Bynum invites you into a deeper and more intimate relationship in the process of purification. Rise above your natural circumstances. Tap into the supernatural realm, where you will find love, peace, contentment, and the solution to every problem you face-if you will answer the call to pray. Come; God is calling you to the threshing floor...where true intercessory prayer begins.
This book took intensive, constructive research to speak on the altar (temple of God), even the colors inside such as gold, cooper, etc. There are things I'd love to highlight but this is a borrowed book (library) and already added this book to my "wishlist" on Amazon. If you are ready to get a deeper understanding of salvation, strength and power, this book is for you. I can go over many people's head.
I love the "strange fire" concept on page 51 about how other people bring unholy fire, that is not God's fire to the tabernacle like Aarons sons, Nadab and Abihu, in Lev. 10:2-3, where it cost them their lives. This strange fire taints the work of the sanctuary today. We have images of worship, praise, altars, sanctification, and holiness, but denying the power thereof (2 Tim. 3:5). Like Aaron's sons, we are ignoring the pattern to enter in God's presence. The church is operating in strange fire and struggling in their walk with God. Same with strange worship, songs identify with the world and carnal worship (thinking we have to fit in to get in).
"Many people hear the Word but fail to understand they need to do what it says" (p. 36).
As a newbie in ministry as a prophetess, not new to the gifts and calling of God, Juanita is burning me with the FIRE she brings in this book. "Too many believers are coming to the house of God to get fire instead of bringing it." (p. 70). We are to experience the fire by removing the earthly senses and go into the spiritual realm.
I think it is amazing how Juanita Bynum found different forms and strategies for prayer. I think one strategy she explained was about laying the grain of wheat and straw on the floor , so you can walk over obstacles.
Ok, so here it is. Yes the woman has divorced, and done other unfavorable things but we you cant deny the revelation God has given her.Is God not the God of second chances and the final judge. Just saying. This book was so good, it took me to such a different level in my own prayer life. I have high lighted so many places in this book. A must read for the life of a intercessor.
When I think of this book I think about how powerful it was and how I wanted to share it with my dear friend. When she died I couldn't ask her family for it back. Now I got myself crying again.
Second time through after twelve years. It's so much better now than it was then. I actually understand why she put the warnings in the last few chapters now. If I had known in 2012 what was going to happen after reading this book and attempting to hear God.. oof. Loss, change, sacrifice, devastation, warfare, repentance, etc.. so much!
This book is for believers who are pursuing or understand the Holy Spirit baptism and have a calling to be intercessors.
Prepare to be shook and the changed. To this day I wonder if her and Flannery O'Connor would have loved one another. I think they would have.
FROM THE OUTER COURT TO THE HOLY OF HOLIES ... aI Love how she Breaks Prayer down using the building of the first Temple where only the Priest could enter and the High Priest behind the veil ... until Jesus tore the veil from top to bottom and made a way for us ALL TO ENTER INTO THAT SECRET PLACE 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I’ve read this one 3 times... my first was a hardcover where I read it to pieces with outlines and notes... and I lost it during a move... but I brought it again about 3 years ago....
