3 Stars Ehhhhhh so-so read

Another read that left me feeling very underwhelmed. I wasn't impressed, I felt the writing and the storyline was "immature". I do have the second book in this series and will give this author another shot though!

Loved this book! I'm usually not a huge novella fan because I feel like I need more from the story and characters. And though I WANT more of these characters and hope we see them in future books, everything about this novella just worked. I never felt like things were skimmed over. I loved every page!

Proper Irish was a great 5 star read and book one in the Jaded Lily series.
This is my first read from this author, I was pulled right in.

Stella is an event planner, she is getting ready for a big event for the mayor. When she falls in front of Padraig and he fails to help her, she is determined to find out why he treats her so badly. When she learns the truth, things change for her. It took me a bit to like Padraig, but eventually he pulled me in.

Can these two have a HEA?

Overall this enemies to lovers read was great. The chemistry between these two was off the charts, they were made for each other. Stella was a strong and determined character. Both characters had my emotions all over the place. The detail the author used was great, you felt like you were right there. The locations were great. The secondary characters added a great element to the story as well.

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson is the first book in her Jaded Lily series. This is not my first book by this author and I enjoyed it as much as the others I have read of hers. Her writing style is such that she will pull you into the story right from the beginning. I enjoy her attention to details that made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. I enjoyed getting to know the town this story is based out of. The characters are both connectable and lovable. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I didn't want to get off. This is a cute story that will keep you wanting more until the end. In this story Stella is an event planner who does her job so well that she got a job for the mayor and his wife. She does everything they ask her to do even if it is ridiculous. Then one day she finds herself in need of help when she falls in the street and the guy just walks away. She is not happy with him and is determined to tell him. She is determined to find out why he wouldn't help her. As mad as she is at him, she finds herself seeing him in a different light as he is kind and considerate. He is becoming a distraction for her and she just don't have time for that. Her head is telling her to stay away from him but her body is telling her something different. She is curious about him but she can't seem to stay away from him. What will she do when she finds herself attracted to the one person she seems to hate? I enjoyed both of these characters. I loved how these two characters seem to develop with each other and watching their feelings change for each other. Stella is a strong woman who is independent and stands up for what she believes in. She is kind and not willing to let anyone push her around. Padraig is a character that I wasn't quite sure what to think about until later in the book. At first, I am not so sure I liked him but as the story went I think his character changed some and become more likable. The one thing that you can see plain as day with him is that he is crazy about her. Their chemistry together is great and I found myself hoping by the end of the book that they would find their happy ever after. The secondary characters were well developed and enjoyable. They are kind and supportive. I highly recommend this book. Find out what happens when you have an Irish alpha male and a woman who is a force to be reckoned with!

This was a fun read for me! Centered around a Saint Patrick’s Day event and the girl who’s planning the whole thing, this book just made me smile. It was a good balance of lighthearted and serious. There were obstacles along the way, but a happy ever after finished it off.

Padraig takes some warming up to. He’s got an Irish temper and also comes off kinda jerkish at first! But Stella is no wilting flower, and sure can deliver the sass right back to him. Their back and forth in the beginning was half the fun. And as you start to learn more about Padraig (who’s name I don’t know how to pronounce) it’s easier to love him. He has a big heart and loves his family and is pretty great. They both are.

This is the first I have read from this author and I would definitely read more, as I like her style. This would be a great holiday book to read in March, too.

Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson a four-star read that will turn you proper. This is the first book in the Jaded Lily series and it’s a promising start to the series, Stella Rosencourt was a character you could get behind she was a strong woman who is good as what she does, she has a plan for her life and she knows what she wants with her life. Nothing and no-one will stop her, especially not someone like Padraig MacNamara who was someone I took a while to warm to, even if he is hotter than hell.
One of the best things about this book in my eyes was the depth the author went to with the background characters like the assistant/friend Kerr and also Savannah the place, the description of the setting and the places visited meant you could picture them in your mind like real places I would love to visit. I for one can’t wait to see what comes in book two.

Proper Irish is the first book in the Jaded Lily Series by Zeia Jameson. This is a fantastic way to start a new series. The story is really captivating, there was no way I was going to put this book down till I had read every single word. I flew through it in an evening. It is a superb enemy to lover romance. This is my second book from Ms. Jameson, the first being Sawyer and Fin- which I loved too. So when I saw this book show up on my feed, I knew I had to read it, and I am so glad that I did. Ms. Jameson definitely didn’t disappoint.
Stella Rosencourt is an event coordinator at ‘As You Wish Events’. She is incredibly good at her job, mainly because of the great connections she’s made with her suppliers, but also because she’s very friendly and easy to like, with a great work ethic. In the middle of organising one of the premier events of the year, a situation occurs that causes Stella a lot of distress and is made all the worse by a very rude pig of a man. He so infuriates Stella, that she decides to confront him about his bad attitude and is determined to get an apology from the brut.
Padraig is a gruff, tattooed bit of a bad boy- with a huge chip on his shoulder. He has a very intimidating air about him. He has taken an instant dislike to Stella, he can’t stand what she represents. So, they get off to a pretty bad start, but as the story unfolds they both begin to discover that just maybe they have misjudged the other and jumped to conclusions. When they are required to work together, their barriers begin to crumble, and they find they may have a lot more in common than they first thought.
This story was well written- it was quite funny in places, while being very romantic and touching at other times. The chemistry was really erotic, heating up the pages of my kindle.
I really did enjoy this book and recommend it to anyone who loves an enemy to lover romance, or a great romantic story that has a few twists.
I wonder what Ms. Jameson has in store for us next? I can’t wait.

Thank you, Ms. Jameson!

A quick story that was romantic, not overly descriptive during sexy time, and light in the angst.

Padraig and Stella are both independent, career driven people. They are both artistic in their own way and each has a way with people. Padraig gives a very rough and stern first impression and Stella is bound and determined to set him in his place.

This story centers around a specific social event that Stella is planning and there is a particular paragraph that I've highlighted for the sole reason of trying to duplicate the menu.

The story is full of interesting secondary characters that supported the story and helped move it along. There is a definite flow to this story that I enjoyed.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I will be reading more in the future.

Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson
4 Stars

This is my first book that I have read from this author. The writing is decent and the plot was alright. It is a light read. This book is like the perfect t.v. Christmas movie. There is not too much drama and it is a cute love story where everything ends the way it’s supposed to.

I wasn’t sure what to make of Padraig in the beginning. He was really rough and mean. As the story progresses, it explains why he is like that. He grew on me and by the end I liked him and his old world charm. I liked Stella from the beginning. She is a hard working, down to earth person who doesn’t take crap from anyone. I feel that they were well matched.

All in all, it was a fun read with no heavy drama. There is a beautiful heroine and a sexy Irish hero. I think it’s a good book for young adults.

I have mixed feelings on this one. All along I was rating it a 3* in my head but I loved the last two chapters. There were several eye roll moments and a few things that grated on me. Nothing wrong with story. For being a novella or shorter book it seemed to hold a full story which is a positive to me.

This is the first book I have read from this author and now she has a new fan. I love a good enemy to lovers story but this talented author exceeded my expectations. This is the first book in the Jaded Lily series. I could not put this book down for anything. These characters drew me in right from the beginning. It only took me a few hours to devour this amazing book.

Stella is a well known event planner. She loves her job so much that is all she thinks about. Stella has to plan a party that can make or break her. She has to plan the St. Patrick’s Day ball for the mayor. Stella has no time for distractions until she runs into a handsome but rude stranger. She feels a connection to this man but she doesn’t understand why. Stella gets to know Padraig and she falls head over heels but they are totally different. She knows that this man is not right for her but what if he is? Will Stella take a chance on this bad boy or will she stay away from him like she should?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, drama, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Stella is a very independent woman that wants a great career. She doesn’t want to be tied down to a man. Padraig is a broody Irishman that loves his mom. He doesn’t like the wealthy due to his past. Padraig is a jerk in the beginning but once you see his heart you will fall in love with him. These characters have some steamy scenes that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will have you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write for us next.

Do you ever finish a book and just feel complete? That's how I feel right now. This love story was so good it made my reality better. Stella works hard at her job even when her boss and her client is against her. Padraig starts off as someone I didn't like at all. He's very abrasive. But we learn why and we love him for it. The relationship and work dynamic in this book was just awesome. I loved how this book was written. It's very believable and just beautifully put together. I'm so ready to start the next one.

***4.5 Stars***

Stella Rosencourt is an event planner in Savannah. She is strong, independent, but most of all she's kind and considerate. She works with the wealthy people of Savannah, and even though they can be total dicks to her, she doesn't let it get to her. So when she is tasked to help plan the second St. Patrick's Day party for the mayor's uptight and snooty wife, she does everything that is asked of her. Even if it's all ridiculous. That is until someone shows her what true Irish traditions and St. Patrick's Day are like.

Enter Padraig MacNamara. The foul-mouthed, tatted-up Irishman whom Stella can't stand. And he can't stand her either.

When Stella has an incident on the street and needs the help of the Irish hottie, he calls her names and leaves her to help herself. Instead of brushing it off like she normally does, Stella stands up for herself, and she ends up getting to know the real reason why Padraig can't stand her. As much as she tries to keep hating him, the kindness and consideration she has for others forces her to see him in a different light.

Much like Stella, I hated Padraig at first. He was a straight up dick. His hatred for one of Stella's clients had him thinking she was the same. But when he takes the time to get to know her, he sees who she really is.

Aside from Stella and Padraig's relationship, I loved the secondary characters as well. Kerry, Stella's assistant, is the kind of friend we all want. Luca, the owner of the Jaded Lily tattoo parlor, is sarcastic and funny and a good friend to Padraig. Moira, Padraig's mom, was my favorite. Her love for her son is amazing. She is kind and caring, and she accepts Stella from the moment they meet. And I could hear both her and Padraig's accents in my head and I loved it.

The setting was depicted perfectly. I've never been to Savannah, but I could see every street, shop, or park that is described in my head. Jameson did an incredible job showing us the city, rather than just telling us where Stella lived. From the fountain in Forsyth Park to the alley behind Wet Willies bar, I felt like I was there, experiencing everything alongside Stella and Padraig.

I loved this book so much and I'm sad that it ended so soon. I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment of this series and I really hope it includes Stella and Padraig.

This is a story with a beautiful setting, a strong heroine, and an Irish hero. What more could you want?

Read and reviewed on behalf of I am a Book Hoarder

This was my first Zeia Jameson’s books I’ve ever read, but it will not be my last!

The first thing that drew me into this story was the cover – holy moly, it’s a great cover! The model is seriously the perfect representation of Zeia’s main character, Padraig. The second thing that drew me in was the fact that the entire story took place in Savannah, GA! I love the South, especially Savannah and when I found out that Zeia was a resident of Georgia I became even more excited.

Zeia has a way of making her characters and written world come alive! I could hear Padraig’s Irish accent and could picture Stella walking down a Savannah cobblestone street. Even the city came alive through Zeia’s words. The story was fun and energetic, with just the right amount of mystery. It was a quick read but was not lacking in any content or development! I explore more of Savannah through Zeia’s and Stella’s eyes!

A foul mouthed Irishman and the girl who hates him...at least she thinks she does...she wants too.
Event planner Stella Rosencourt is used to dealing with jerks, her job requires her to tolerate it virtually on a daily basis when working with Savannah's elite and their need for perfection.
Padraig MacNamara is a rude man. He ignores her need for help leaving her on the ground and walks into the tattoo shop.
He despises snooty people and seeing her on her ass in the street makes him happy.

Stella won't let it go though, she's determined to get an apology out of him and continues to try to get through to him.
Needless to say she's shocked to see him at the home of the mayor when she's there planning their St Patrick's Day party.

From the man she wants to hate to the man she wants to date?
It could happen!

Stella & Padraig are two of my favorite characters, I mean who doesn't love a sexy Irishman with an accent so thick you could cut it with a knife?
And Stella, she's strong, independent but smart. She knows when to give in and when to push.

I loved the story, I loved the characters, the reason this one only gets 4 stars is some of Stella's dialogue. It didn't flow at times, it seemed stilted at times and that threw off the flow for me.
Will I read this author again? Definitely yes. Minus the occasional dialogue issue (that may just be an issue for me) the book was great.

This story is set in Savannah and exudes charm. I have been to Savannah many times, it's a city I love and Ms. Jameson was spot on with her descriptions. I adored Stella. She was classy and sassy. In the beginning Padraig seems like a giant ass, the chip on his shoulder is bigger than the fountain in Forsyth Park. As the story progresses you fall in love with the characters and the quaintness of Savannah. I love how the city and characters come to life.

This book was SOOO good. In this book you get an incredible cast of characters. I feel in love with more than just the main ones. They were written with charm, personality and you could not help falling in love with their story.

Stella is this smart, beautiful, charming lead. I loved how she was kind, but not a push over. I loved how strong she was. I enjoyed a great strong female lead. I kind of wanted to be her. Padraig.. He took a little to get use to. He started a little harsh, a little rude and a lot like an ass-whole.... But once the layers of this man started to uncover and reveal such a charming, kind and loving man as well. He will completely still your heart. You will want your own Padraig. I think the way he was with his mother was EVERYTHING!! The chemistry between Stella and Padraig was beautiful.

I loved this book, I loved this story and I loved the feels this romance with in the story gave me. This book is a #MustRead

Okay, new author for me. I will read more from this author I can tell you that much. Anyone that knows my reviews knows I am honest and this book was an ARC provided from the author for an honest review. Padraig is a hero it take some warming up to. He was very harsh at the beginning of the book, almost a total asshole, but the author did a really good job of explaining his attitude. I don't like rehashing the plot or giving anything away.
Stella...Stella, Stella, Stella. I just love her. She was the perfect mix of independent, I take no crud from anyone woman. She was the perfect heroine for Padraig, he had an old world charm about him that would have any woman swooning. This book was really amazing once I warmed up to it. I did have to give myself a little push, but overall, it was worth it. This story is told in first person alternating view.

I’ve never been to Savanah. Actually, being that I’m not American, I honestly had no idea where Savanah was. After reading Proper Irish, however, I not only got a little lesson on geography, I also learned quite a bit about the Irish heritage still celebrated there.
That’s not what this beautiful story is about, though, but it does unfold while being surrounded by this distinctly rich culture, which is perfectly depicted by the author, by the way.
Padraig and Stella’s story was fun to read. A hate to love relationship is always fun to see unfold. I found myself feeling as Stella did; hating him, then being intrigued by him, then falling in love with him completely. I love when an author can do that to me.

Proper Irish ~ A Jaded Lily Novella by Zeia Jameson is a contemporary romance novella. It is the story of a young woman named Stella, who is a party/event planner in Savannah, Georgia, where she's worked for several years for her boss, Rachel. Stella has been so busy this past year and a half that Rachel finally hired an assistant for Stella because she was on the verge of quitting, and her assistant's name is Kerry. When the story begins, Kerry and Stella are busy planning numerous parties, the year's biggest being the annual Mayor's Ball. The Mayor's Ball is on St. Patrick's Day, and the mayor's wife is difficult to work with, as well as having poor taste, and she is the person who Stella has to work with again this year.

One day as Stella is crossing the street in a crosswalk, and she has her arms filled with decorations for another one of the events she's planning, trying to carry everything to her home from the craft store in order to save some time in the morning, a man walks past her saying, “Got quite a handful there, missy. Probably bit off a little more than you can chew?” As Stella is looking behind her to see who just said that to her, she sees a man who is covered in tattoos opening the door to a tattoo shop, and just at the moment that she steps off the curb she misjudges it, twists her ankle, and Stella drops everything she had been holding. Glass is breaking and Stella looks back at the man, who says, “ Told you so. Stupid girl.” Stella stands there shocked and sees that the man remains at the doorway. Stella asks him if he's going to help her, and he just walks into the tattoo shop without saying a word, which makes Stella furious! Now Stella has to find out, what is the deal with this guy? She tells Kerry about what happened, and now Kerry is angry, too. Stella thinks that the guy had some kind of accent when he spoke, maybe British or Irish? And she thinks that he was kind of attractive looking, but she doesn't understand why he was such a jerk to her, but she's determined to find out what's up. What will happen when Stella finally talks to this mysterious tattooed man?

I really enjoyed this novella by Zeia Jameson. I really didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book to read it, especially from the title, but Zeia Jameson made the story really interesting. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading contemporary romance stories!

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson

Proper Irish  ( Jaded Lily book 1 ) by Zeia Jameson is the first book in her Jaded Lily series.I loved this book and the main Characters killed me ,I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I was instantly hooked. This isn't my first book by this author and most certainly not my last.Get ready for a bit of an emotional roller-coaster ride that is so freaking worth it. There's even a couple twists and turns that don't see coming and will have you on the edge of your seat trying to figure it out. This story is about Stella and Padraig.Stella is an Event Planner who just so happens to land a big party for the Mayor and his wife.Stella is over worked but does her job well.in fact she takes her job seriously. The mayor's wife isn't exactly the easiest person to please.Stella finds herself needing some help when she falls in the street and she hears a guy holler at her he doesn't offer to help her up just turns and walks away. She then runs into him again and let's him have it..She's determined to let him have for not helping her and she's dying to know why?.Padraig is the mayor's son who  came off a bit of a dang jerk at first but the more you read the more you realize he's the farthest thing from a dang jerk.Padraig has a little secret when it comes out how will Stella react? She wants to forget him but can't seem to get him out of her head. Can these two have more? What will happen when they can't resist each other anymore? This is a must read book I highly recommend it especially if you want to know how things end up with these two. I can't wait to see what Zeia comes out with next.

Proper Irish ( Jaded Lily Book #1)
By: Zeia Jameson
4 out of 5 stars

Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson was a new author for me. I’m so glad I read this book. I loved the cover of the book but the storyline that Zeia has written is awesome. A fun and exciting book that is beautiful story of love and learning to be open to difference. Filled with back and forth banter, characters that developed and easy to relate to and an engaging story that pulls you in from the beginning and holds you through out.
Stella is a strong, sassy and independent woman. She is also very kind and considerate. Stella is an event planner working with the wealthy in Savannah. She is asked to plan the St Patrick’s Day party for the Mayor and his wife who are not very nice. A fall has her meeting a rude, fouled mouth Irishman.
Padraig is that foul mouthed, tattooed, rude Irishman. Totally not likable he makes you want to punch him in the mouth. Until you get a peek inside his heart with the love he has and shows for his family. So why was he so rude to Stella? Padraig has a dislike for the clients Stella work with and lumps her in the same class as them.
The chemistry between the two is there smoldering and waiting to ignite. Definitely not love at first sight! But over time the chemistry builds as does an relationship. The pace and build of the story is amazing. The characters come alive as does the secondary characters. Zeia Jameson also does a marvelous job of her descriptions of the places in Savannah. I loved this book and reading the journey of Stella and Padraig and look forward to reading more from this author. Zeia shows us the thin line between love and hate.

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily Book 1) by Zeia Jameson

5 Stars

This is my 2nd book by this author and I loved this one as much as I did the first. I think what I loved about this book the most is that there was no hidden hurtful pasts or bad relationships that caused these two to guard their hearts leaving the road wide open for these two to get to know each other….Although that will be hard to do when it seems they totally despise each other.

This was such a fun read, I read it in one sitting and completely fell in love with these characters, Padraig is the mayor's son and although he loves his Dad, he can't even come close to stomaching Victoria, the woman he is married to. He lives part time with his Mam, and the other part of the time he lives in a room at the Jaded Lily, a tattoo shop. He is a very generous and loving person to most people and I fell in love with him from the beginning, even with him being so hateful to some, I knew there had to be a reason.

Stella is an event coordinator working for a company that is handling the mayors St. Patrick's Day ball. Her boss has begun acting really weird and has made it almost impossible to keep her job. She can't seem to please her or the Mayor's wife during the planning of this ball and it is weighing on her terribly, and to top it off she is dealing with a gorgeous man full of tattoos who can't seem to do or say anything to her besides calling her stupid.

This story had such an easy flow and the storyline was fantastic, I love how it did not drag on and it wasn't filled with any fluff that wasn't needed for the story to play out. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, Luca and Kerry were an awesome part of this book and I hope that Padraig and Stella are still an awesome part of theirs.

Loved it!!!

Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson is the first book in the Jaded Lily series. As the beginning of a series it hit all the things I look for in a first book. The characters were engaging, the story flowed really well and the secondary characters were interesting and I am hoping to hear about them in the next books. It really drew me in from the beginning and kept my interest until the end.
Stella Rosencourt is an event planner who is working on the Mayor’s St. Patrick’s Day party. Making her job harder is working with the Mayor’s snobby wife so when she has a meeting on the street with a rude stranger things don’t go well for her. Stella decides that she needs an apology from the snotty stranger, and is determined to confront him on his poor attitude and lack of compassion.
Padraig MacNamara can’t stand people who think they are better than everyone; he has no use for them and has no problem telling them. When he sees Stella he has no problem expressing how he feels. Unfortunately for Padraig, Stella is nothing like he assumed and she is willing to prove it to him.
This book starts out as a typical “don’t judge a book by its cover” story; the main characters (especially Padraig) don’t take the time at first to learn about someone before drawing conclusions. Padraig thinks Stella is a snotty rich girl who walks all over others because of the company she keeps at work, while Stella thinks Padraig is a bad boy with an attitude just because of tattoos and where he hangs out. They are both wrong and have a journey to find out that everything isn’t always what it seems.

Proper Irish
By Zeia Jameson
4 Stars

Proper Irish is the first book by thus author that I have read, and I really enjoyed it. The authors writing style kept me interested and I was looking forward to seeing where the author would take the story next. There is some romance and a little bit of angst that make things interesting.
This story is about a woman named Stella. She is so fun, and she is one of those characters you just cant help but love and want to be friends with. She is an event planner who lands an awesome job planning a saint paddy’s day party for the mayor. With the help of the Maylor wife, Stella starts planning away and she quickly learns that maybe there is such a thing as too much green for a Saint Patrick’s Day party. Things aren’t going the way Stella had planned them, So When the mayor’s son Padraig offers to help her make the party more authentically Irish, she is excited to see where thing are going to go and is just hoping for a success.
Padraig and Stella have a slow burning connection. They feel something when they first started getting to know each other, but to act on it could hurt Stella’s career. She’s worked hard, and to throw that away for a badmouthed tattooed Irishmen, she isn’t sure that’s with the risk. Go and get this book now, so you can see where this story goes! I promise its worth the read! This will not be the last book I read by this author! I’ll be on the lookout for her next book!!
Yes, I would recommend to a friend!

Proper Irish is the fantastic first book in the Jaded Lily series by Zeia Jameson. I had not previously read any of this authors work and I have to hand it to her, I absolutely loved this book. If this first book in the series is anything to go by then this series is going to be right up there among my favourites.
The story centres around Stella Rosencourt who as an events planner is planning a St Patrick’s Day event for the local mayor who originates from Ireland. Unfortunately the mayor’s wife is a complete bitch and making Stella’s life hell. Add to that the mayor’s son Padraig has taken an immediate dislike to Stella. When Stella asks for Padraig’s help to make the event as authentically Irish as possible sparks are soon flying between the 2. As much as they dislike each other, they can’t deny the attraction.
I loved this story and devoured it all in one sitting. Padraig and Stella are amazing characters who are very well written. Padraig comes across as very abrupt and unpleasant to begin with but we soon get to see the much softer, charitable side of him. The interactions between the 2 can be quite entertaining to say the least. The secondary characters add a lot to the story. In particular I loved Padraig’s mum Moira. We are also introduced to Stella’s best friend Kerry and Padraig’s friend Luca who runs the tattoo shop, Jaded Lily, who seem to have hit it off too.
I already have the next book Proper Ink, which is Luca and Kerry’s story on my kindle and I can’t wait to dive in. If it’s anything like this book then I’m sure I’ll be loving that one too.
