Montana is the man I can't have. Me, I'm the girl he shouldn't want.
We're like Romeo and Juliet.
That is, if Juliet was forcibly engaged to Romeo's half-brother, everyone carried guns instead of swords... and Romeo knocked up Juliet in the first class bathroom on a flight out of Chicago.
Alright, so not quite the same. But at least our families have the blood feud going, so that's something. And even if we didn't, our baby will definitely start one.
We met with a kiss. I ached to run my fingers through his unruly hair, he needed to shake a handsy cougar. It was fate. His intensely dark eyes took my breath away, and his quick smile made it all too easy to forget that I wasn't for him, and never would be.
But for that stolen, reckless moment, I was his. How was I to know that moment would tie us together for the rest of our lives?
And leave me with morning sickness.
Montana vows to fight both our families to keep my baby and me safe. I just want us to get out of this alive, with neither of us dumped into the middle of Lake Michigan with a new pair of cement shoes.
Welcome to love in the Mafia.
Hope you brought enough popcorn to share. I'm having a craving.
Andrea DiFiero, 22, is a mafia princess who just wants to be an average college student. But her family and fate have other plans when “business changes” and one transatlantic flight brings a whole lot of turbulence to her normal life.
“Family can’t live with ‘em, can’t seem to run far enough to find out if you can live without ‘em.”
Turns out Montana Caporossi, 29, is more than just the sexy stranger from Andrea’s flight. He’s a whole lot of swoon worthy with an edge of danger and just enough steamy ideas to make him the perfect book boyfriend.
“‘We still get smashed, but instead of fighting, I fuck the frustration right out of you. Repeat as needed until you’re feeling better or we pass out.’ ‘From the sex or the alcohol?’ ‘Leave room for a little mystery, pudding pop.’”
Andrea and Montana’s wild adventures not only keep the couple on their toes but provide plenty of excitement for the reader. I was never sure what crazy catastrophe was about to unfold next, but it certainly kept me turning pages into the late hours. Not only was Montana dreamy in that alpha bad boy way, but Andrea was a strong and feisty heroine, and I loved how she didn’t take anyone’s shit.
“She could’ve raised hell, but instead she’s floating down the aisle like an angel in a dress that puts me in a mood to be a devil.”
How will Andrea escape an arranged marriage to her lover’s half brother? What will the “Families” do when they discover Andrea’s carrying a little souvenir from her flight? And what every romance reader is on the edge of their seat to find out—can Andrea and Montana pull off another hot clandestine quickie without getting caught? ;-)
“‘Dancing is just like sex, but with more clothes. I’d be surprised if we didn’t move well together.’”
Specific scenes that deserve a mention: I enjoyed the witty way the two met; the trip to the pharmacy was funny; Andrea’s ever changing nicknames for Montana were cute and fitting for her sassy character; and the onsies—OMG, they were perfect!
Told via Andrea and Montana’s first person POV, this is a fabulous upbeat, safe, romantic adventure story that focuses on the main couple and pleasingly avoids angst outside of the mob kind, of course. And this is “mob-lite”—most supporting characters more colorful and intriguing that dark. And by the end of the story, I found myself rooting for two other characters to get a book of their own love story. But in the meantime, I definitely recommend booking this flight!

SEXY, WITTY AND DEVILISHLY DELIGHTFUL !!! Title: One Flight Stand Author: Kim Linwood Designation: A Full-Length Standalone Bad Boy Mafia Romance, NO Cliffhanger Reading Platform: Kindle Edition My Rating: Five Devilishly Delicious Stars***** OMG! I love this book! I've been a Kim Linwood fan for several years and never tire of her sultry style and easy flowing flirtatious prose. And Linwood has delivered the goods yet again with another fabulously entertaining bad boy romance! One Flight Stand is a fast-paced, exceptionally well-crafted, full-length standalone mafia bad boy romance filled to the brim with danger, drama, angst, sass, snark, and outrageously laugh-out-loud one-liners that will keep you giggling throughout the book. And let's not forget the steamy dreamy romance and panty-melting sex! Oh my! The narrative is beautifully written in the first person with clearly defined his and her perspectives. The dialogue is smart, witty, sexy, well executed and flows effortlessly. I loved all the elements of this story but my favorite component by far is the cast of relatable engaging characters. I was immediately smitten with the two protagonists, handsome Caporossi mafioso Montana, aka Monty, Madagascar, Michigan, Wyoming, Wisconsin, or whatever else the heroine could think of to call him, and beautiful fiery mafia princess Andrea DeFiero. These two larger than life characters were absolutely perfect for each other. Their initial encounter was unexpected but completely titillating, their attraction electric, their interaction provocative, and their sexual chemistry was so hot it sizzled! It was a match made in .... well... heaven and hell. It was beyond entertaining! Have you ever been to an Italian wedding? If not, you should! I have and Linwood totally nailed it! It's one experience you'll never forget... just like this book! No spoilers from me but I will say this.... Handsome, sexy, mafia bad boy hero who knows what he wants and is determined to have it-Check! Beautiful, intelligent, and independent mafia princess who can be a little mouthy and only wants to be free to live her own life but is caught in the middle of two rival Italian families-Check! A precarious alliance-check! A hilarious Hatfields and McCoys mafia version wedding-Check! (Best wedding scene ever!) A honeymoon getaway to die for-Oh lawd yes! (And unfortunately, I do mean that quite literally!) Danger, drama, angst, and lots of family conflict-check! Fiery passion, dreamy romance, steamy sex-You bet! Side-splitting humor and a surprising little bundle of joy-Oh my, yes! That and a whole lot more! This story has it all! Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers! Will I read this author again? Abso-freaking-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Writing this review and I'm still smiling like an idiot. The book wasn't necessarily romantic, girl meets guy on a plane they screw she ends up knocked up... What's romantic about that? But, this author managed to make me fall in love with the tale, with Montana and Andrea and Oh Em Gee how I loved Evie. I wish we'd gotten a more in-depth picture of Marco/Marc but that's neither here nor there. The book was great, well written and filled with humor and craziness (come on two ex-marines and cheese!), It was sexy and hot. I'll definitely be reading more by this author.
Reading "One Flight Stand" Had me fall in love with the story and With Montana and Andrea. I love how they met on the plane and later on he ends up begin her body guard. One day I will do s reread 5 stars.
Happy Reading Lisa *** I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I received this ARC for an honest review. Kim Linwood knocked it out of the park with this story! Bravo! Wow, what an awesome book! I thoroughly enjoyed this, the relationship with Montana & Andrea sneaked up on them, which was awesome. Andrea has that spunkiness/snarkiness/backbone that can be hilarious for any story with a heroine like that. The book flowed fast & smooth. There's humor mixed in to lighten this up, along with the typical stereotypical Mafia behavior, along with appropriate hot sex expected from Kim Linwood books. The characters are very likable (even though they're Mafia! LOL). There were a few places, that used words either in Italian or something relating to Mafia that I was not familiar with, but it didn't detract from the story though. I could not put this down, ended up staying up late into the night to finish, paying the price at work the next day!
Ms. Linwood is a new author to me, and let me tell you...I am now frantically searching for more reads by her. I am not a fan of mafia romances, but the bar has now been set after reading this. I laughed. I gasped. I wanted to rip my hair out. Ms. Linwood has a way of pulling you into the book and making you a part of the story.
Andrea, a young woman who typically does not do anything crazy (a.k.a. mafia princess), meets Montana in an airport lounge waiting for her plane. He comes up to her, calling her Felicity, because a cougar stewardess is after him. He introduces Andrea as his fiancee, and the stewardess leaves in a huff. Low and behold... Montana is on the same flight as Andrea. After seeing that Montana, a giant of a man, is going to be stuck in coach, she invites him to sit in first class with her. The sparks are flying back and forth. Before you know it, they are joining the mile high club, and you are fanning yourself. After the flight, they go their separate ways. However, fate has a lot more in store for them... Two weeks after she returns to London, Andrea is told by her father that she must return home. Who is to be her bodyguard? Montana...Who is a member of the rival mafia. And who is she to marry? Montana's brother. And then, it ALL hits the fan when Andrea learns she is pregnant.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author, and I voluntarily reviewed the book. All the opinions are my own.
Oh I loved this book. I laughed and laughed and then laughed and laughed, then I laughed again and again. This was a very well written out story and I just could not get over how wonderfully funny, sweet and totally adorable Montana and Andrea are. This book starts off with her being his Felicity to his Monty. They end up flying out on the same plane and with an invitation from her to him to sit next to her in first class, starts a hot love scene for the mile high club. LoL. Little did Andrea know that a month later she would be pregnant with his son, well there was a whole host of things wrong with that. First and foremost that there families have been warring against each other for years. Why? Well it turns out that they are both part of big Mafia families, so well there you go. Andrea was smart, witty and downright funny. I loved her from the very start. Montana turned out to be the right match for her, in bed and with a superb sense of humor. I loved the fact that she kept calling him different state names on purpose and the fact that once Montana found out about his child, there was nothing he would not do. He certainly was not giving her up without a fight, either. The high jinks from the cheese caterers Philmore and Brett were spot on and I hope we have not heard the last from them either. Those two had me rolling in laughter. I absolutely loved Evie as well, perfect best friend and flatmate a girl could possibly ever have. Loved it! 5 stars!!!
This was another great story by Kim. There were lots of laughs, and several ways I connected to the characters. If you like mafia love stories you will like this. Overview. Andrea is sitting in the airport bar when a gorgeous guy decides to come up to her acting like her knows her. She plays along for a few, then when "Monty" introduces her to an older woman who is trying to hook up with him, she decides to be his life saver. Later they meet at the boarding gate where the attendant is giving her a bad time about her cousin not being on the flight with her. So Andrea invites Monty aka Montana to sit next to her. But their mutual attraction gets the best of them and they have a 1 night/flight hook up. 2 weeks later, Andrea is rushed home for family business. Her dad is an Italian mafia boss. But Andrea is even more shocked when her new bodyguard is Montana. Both now realizing who they are, both mafia kids. Andrea is being forced to marry Marc whom is Montana's step brother. But Andrea comes up pregnant with Montana's baby and expected to marry Marc. How will this all work out? Lots of twists, laughs, and love.
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this book.
Montana is the muscle for the Caporossi family and also the step son of the Don. His half brother, Marco, is supposed to marry the daughter of the other mob family, Andrea DiFiero, to join the two families together. Before that happens, Montana and Andrea meet, not knowing who the other was, in the Chicago airport lounge while she was waiting to board her plane to London. That encounter made me laugh out loud. Andrea's personality is what you would expect for being a Mafia Princess. Not snobby, but strong and also funny. I wish I could use my words as effectively as she does!! With such a strong personality, she rebels.
This is an entertaining, funny and action filled book. No one gets killed, threatened, but not killed. There is a HEA with no cliffhanger. I can't wait to read more from this author. Maybe we'll get to read about Marco's HEA in the future??
One Flight Stand has it all: Mafia wars, action, lots of steam, suspense and intrigue, and a surprise pregnancy. When Andrea does the hot guy in the airport looking to escape a scary cougar a huge favor and plays along with his story, you just know that things are going to be steamy when they later discover they're on the same flight. They don't ever plan on seeing each other again after joining the Mile High Club. But, fate has other ideas in mind, and when they discover they're both in the Mafia life, things get crazy.
I love Montana and Andrea. They have an intense connection that isn't all just about sex. One Flight Stand is, as always, well written by Kim Linwood, and the characters stand out and are much more than just cheesy cookie cutter figures in a typical Mafia romance. They're well rounded and well developed, and even all the crazy action going on doesn't detract from that. If you like your Mafia romances with substance, I'd advise you 1 click this one!
How joining the Mile High Club can change your life.
This is a Mob book with a difference. We have the rival families, the "star crossed lovers", the overbearing parents, the sense of duty to the Family, an arranged marriage, but the violence is minimal and the story concentrates on relationships, between lovers, between parents and child, between friends, and between rivals.
Montana and Andrea meet at an airport, join the Mile High Club, and part without knowing each others' full name.
And that is when the "fun" starts.....imagine their surprise when Montana is "loaned" by a rival family to be Andrea's bodyguard.
Even more of a surprise is the little souvenir Andrea has from their first encounter.
The plot moves along at a fast pace, there are lighthearted moments, there are tension filled moments, and through it all we have a cast of well developed characters.
Andrea's a 22 mafia princess in the DiFiero family & just wants to be an average college student, who's family pushes her for an arranged marriage. On a flight she meets & helps the sexy stranger Montana, 29 yrs old stepson of the Don of the Caporossi family, who's fleeing from a cougar. There's an instant attraction between them & they end up joining the Mile High Club. After the flight they part ways, no plan to reconnect, seeing as it was a "one night stand" A month later they're shocked when they discover the truth about each other, Andrea's arranged marriage is to Montana's half brother Marco & she's got a special parcel from their encounter on the plane. Will they end up together or will Andrea have to go through with the arranged marriage? What about her being pregnant? Seeing as this is a mafia themed romance, there's fighting, hot sex & drama.
"One Flight Stand" has it all! There was sexy romance, suspense, drama, fun and some parts that had me in tears laughing. Montana, the sexy hot mafia guy, and feisty Andrea, the mafia princess, met and were a match made in the 'Mile High Club'. There is a great deal of depth to the story with the H and h, complete with surprises that had many twists and turns woven in the story I did not see coming. The HEA for these two was a lot of fun for the reader to see them get there. This is classic Kim Linwood at her best with a story you won't want to put down until the last page is read. I agree with some other reviewers that I would love to see more of Marc and Evie in the future. I would like to thank the author for gifting me "One Flight Stand". My opinion is my own. This is mine...5 Stars!
Readers get a good feel for Stephanie and Montana are introduced in an airport 'meet cute' scene that gives readers a good feel for the characters and sets things in motion that turn their lives upside down. Their flirtation leads to the Mile High Club —and an unexpected pregnancy.
They get to know one another outside of their families and mafia connections--which I really liked. Stephanie isn't meek. She's confident and assertive but that doesn't help her when it comes to her family and the mob. Good story that's funny but still hot. .
This is the first book I've read by this author and I thought it was really, really good! I got sucked into this story and could not put it down. This, I felt, was not a typical mafia romance. If you like a great romance, I'd recommend giving this one a try, even if you don't normally like mafia romance. Andrea and Montana had some hot chemistry, as well as panty melting sex scenes. The supporting characters were great too. I am also hoping we see an Evie and Marco story in the future! *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
I received this book in advance for an honest review. After receiving teaser emails I was dying to read One Flight Stand and I was not disappointed. Andrea and Montana don't know who each other are but they have one sexy mile high session and don't intend to see each other again. Wrong. Her mafia family has arranged for her to marry the son of a rival family who just happens to be Montana's half brother. Andrea finds out she's pregnant and the shit starts hitting the fan. Families torn apart, alliances made and hot, steamy sex. Great book!
The chemistry between Montana and Andrea is both hot and down right hilarious! LOVED ONE FLIGHT STAND!! 5 MILE HIGH STARS
I really loved this book. Loved the humor. The play on Montana's name by Andrea had me cracking up more than once I'll tell you that! From the very first pages I was sucked in. The airport scene was so funny. Then when they meet up later? Well, if you like family drama, hot mafia bad boys, suspense, hot sexy time and twists and of course lots of humor, then ONE CLICK NOW! I highly recommend this book.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** I love a sassy, sexy gal and a BB with a sense of humor and this book has both and more!! Fast moving, great dialogue, fun twists, and great turns, this was a outstanding read. Montana and Andrea are interesting, well written characters you could sympathize with, inspite of their mafia connections. I cannot recommend this book enough..........READ IT AND ENJOY THE RIDE!!!'mm
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book....
WOW! Another winner from Kim Linwood! The plot is awesome and different! I loved the way Montana and Andrea met. There are lots of twist and turns throughout this book. Never a dull moment! The storyline flows smoothly throughout. The characters are complexed and easily relatable. The chemistry between them is explosive! I will be adding this one to my personal Kindle library!
Holy crap! This book was a bumpy ride! Montana and Andrea meet at the airport, join the mile high club and go their separate ways. However, Fate is at play and he then becomes her bodyguard! Andrea is a Mafia princess and Montana is the step son of the Don of his family. I would love to see more about supporting characters Evie and Marco. A must read!
I loved Montana and Andrea from the first page it drew you in it was charming, swoony, flirty and playful, it left me salivating for more. You had intense mafia scenes, combining the erotic and family, love and romance, with doubt and vulnerabilities. This book is a must read, Kim is an awesome author.
A feud between two Italian Mafia families, drama, angst, suspense, danger, an arranged marriage, secret trysts, sizzling chemistry, humor, steamy sex, romance, and of course love and a HEA... everything I love in a bad boy mafia romance story.
I volunteered to review an advanced readers copy of this book.
It was only suppose to be a mile high hook up in the planes bathroom. Not a life time of of hearts and flowers. But what was and what is are two different things. I absolutely loved this story Montana finally found a way to get his girl and his happily ever after. I would love to see Evie and Marc end up together or at least get their own stories and hea.
This was a great book. Really enjoyed. Really likeable characters with a good story. This book had it all. Love. Steam. Action and suspense. Loved the characters. Andrea was strong and didn't take much crap. And Montana was amazing. Protective and caring. I liked the background characters too. Specially the cheese guys. Haha. Overall great story with a nice ending.
So freakin' good! I love, love, love this fun, sexy romance. The story is perfect and so well-written, and I absolutely loved Andrea and Montana and their assorted friends and family. This wonderful, slightly crazy romantic comedy by the very talented Kim Linwood will warm your heart and put a smile on your face.

One Flight Stand was a great story with solid characters and a thoroughly well laid out story line. This is definitely one of the must read books I have had the pleasure of reading this year. A great love story with some chaos thrown in. This one will not disappoint.
Cute and funny mafia romance. Two strangers meet in an airport and happen to take the same flight, result a one night fling. The drama and adventure begins when they both find out their are from opposing Mafia families.
Great story, great characters lots of suspense, heat and passion and drama worth a read. Read it in less than a day held my attention from start to finish.
