While rain trickled down my windows during my childhood, I curled up on a cushioned sofa with a hot drink, a new adventure and I waited impatiently to grow up.
Several years later, I'm still waiting to grow up. In the meantime, grab a drink and jump on board and come on a journey with me. I promise you it will be different.
The ride might be the sordid or gritty story of a North London prostitute, or it might be the dystopian/apocalyptic terrorism fighting hero.
I've also started writing as Adam Norty, so don't be confused by the alias. Fans of A Boy Called Q will enjoy the Adam Norty smut side of things.
Great book. I've been following this author and so far, I haven't had any disappointment.
Lucy is an interesting close-up view of the rise to fame of a young girl (she's 16/17) who has a horrible start to life which comes back to haunt her later in life. There's twists I didn't expect which were great, and a romance that was very sweet.
Favorite line "I don't want to be an audience for your ego!" love it. Well done Fox
I'm a big fan of this author whose style is very good.
Lucy's beginnings are sad in this story, until she's gone to live with a state approved foster parent. It is then that she begins to learn the value of relationships. There was a lot of subtle growth that could almost be missed. When Lucy meets Phil, a record executive, she is pushed into doing a demo, which is successful.
There are a few twists that I didn't see coming and a couple of surprises, including the wedding! Such a great story and so well written!
Another fantastic journey that was well written and fun. And I DO mean fun! Although Lucy's early life is sad, by the time she gets to NY and records her first songs, meets Adam, it becomes real fun! I kept picturing Britney Spears or Lady Gaga and wondered how much of either of them was in this book. There's not enough books like this that are just good fun!
