Broken Shadow
Natalie Summers just went viral.
After years of making YouTube videos while she chased her dream of Broadway fame, one of her original songs has made it into the mainstream and Natalie has been launched to overnight stardom. While she's still coming to terms with her sudden and inexplicable rise to the top, her manager is insisting that she hire a bodyguard to protect her from the rabid fans approaching her during college lectures.

I received an ARC of this novella and this is my voluntary and honest review. Believe me you will not be barking up the wrong tree if you choose to take the plunge with this little beauty, in fact quite the opposite the bark of the tree might be just the thing to keep you intrigued. As Natalie becomes an overnight success and is thrown into the limelight the requirement for a bodyguard is top on her management's list. With her bodyguard Blake at her side so much, it doesn't take long for the attraction and sexual tension to heat up between them. However can Natalie get past the broody bodyguard's walls to make him realize she is more than the starlet he is paid to protect. This novella is full of angst and sexual tension and will have you craving for more in the Shadow series.

I have a sudden interest in YouTube especially if that means I can have a chance at a man like Blake. Natalie gets a break she wasn't expecting and goes on one helluva adventure into celebrity status. Shane is the best friend you'd love to have by your side and Natalie is so lucky to have him. When Blake and Natalie turn the heat up they set it to high and Im loving every second. I am totally swooning over this man. I mean who wouldn't seeing the little things he does and you know it's not the norm for him. I have never had the urge to go for a run much less early morning,
after this story I am highly considering it if I can have the same experience. This is a quick but so damn good read that you will not want to put down. Highly recommend you one click, you won't be disappointed. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

I Need To Learn How To Play The Ukuele STAT!
Wouldn't you love to know what REALLY goes on in Hollywood? On the red carpet? Just once, just to see what we never get to see - maybe the after parties, oh definitely the after parties. Money and Fame doesn't necessarily always buy you happiness. Cliche but so true - look at the divorce rate and celebrity switching on the daily! HA!
NOW FOCUS: Broken Shadow -
clearly a superb book all wrapped up nicely with tons of enticing storyline that keeps you from doing anything else in your real life. The plot features a young girl that gets quickly brought into the limelight and is completely overwhelmed by all that is going on including the many strange people invading her once private life.
I'm not going to literally reiterate the blurb in this review, so let's just say that there is a very big push and pull factor going on here. Once you find out why, it clearly makes sense and is truly something I can see happening in real life Hollywood. It's sad, really sad that at one point these "celebrities" were just people who lived without any sort of title or big paychecks and I find it amazing just how it can quickly change a person completely BUT NOT ALL OF THEM!
I didn't want this story to end, though when it did I was completely satisfied and loved every second of it. Hazel Jacobs brings her "A" game and even gives a nod to our boys in "Black Lilith". *swoon (you have read that series right?) And definitely don't worry, the "heat is so on" and let me tell you, Ms. Jacobs has a gift of writing some naughty, delicious scenes.

Broken Shadow. I don't what happened to Hazel Jacobs but she brought her A game with this little novella and blew it out of the park. I was literally blown away with this story because I was soooo not expecting it! And though it started off a little slow for me, and I had a bit of a rough time connecting with characters in the beginning, but all of that was forgotten as soon as the sexual tension started to build. As the chemistry between these two characters got so explosive, I was squirming in my seat. The writing was exceptional, the execution excellent and the character well developed. I only hate that this ended the way it because it was literally the biggest cock tease and my frustrations are at an all time high. I NEED MORE! Write faster because I need that full length novel!

Oh yeah, I'd let Blake play with my body too. I love this cold sexy bodyguard. Although his hot and cold pretty frustrating.
And Natalie, this girl is one of my fav characters, she's unique and bubbly, always true to herself, she knows who she really is and won't change it, I admire this risin star.
As for the book, this is the first book in Shadow Series, this book is such a big tease of what's coming and I'm guessing it'll full of hotness and drama, because there's a super steamy action in this one.
This book is short and fun and left me wanting more.
If you love short fast romance with hot bodyguard, you must try this one.

Arc provided by author for honest review. This book I found really different from what Hazel usually writes. I still enjoyed it though. I'm so excited to see what a dark mind Hazel has.

this novella is different to what hazel jacobs usually writes but wow was it great.
Natalie new to fame because of her Utube channel is in need of a body guard and in walks the smoking hot Blake.

An overnight success leaves You Tube star Natalie in need of a body guard. Blake may despise Hollywood and everything read carpet but he has a job to do and he's good at it. Little by little Natalie chips away at Blake's cold attitude. A few sweet yet shocking gestures help ground Nat in this crazy adventure and make her determined to break through the walls her incredibly sexy body guard has built around his self. He can protect her but can she save him? Love this book, the characters are fantastic. The chemistry between Nat and Blake is off the charts. The best friend Shane keeps the humor rolling and I love how the agency that represents her is Bass Notes the same one that works with Black Lilith! My only complaint about this book is that its only a novella, I want more! Fantastic read can't wait for more!

What a fantastic way to start off the new Shadow series with this sweet yet sexy novella! It was so easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of Natalie’s overnight success as her video goes viral on YouTube, that I felt myself wanting to jump up and down for her. She and her best friend, Shane, are such likable characters and I love how they have such an amazing and close knit friendship. Now enter Blake—the bodyguard hired to protect Natalie due to her instant popularity—who is sexy as hell, but with the personality of the frozen tundra. Natalie tries to thaw out Blake, and as a slow warmness begins to bloom between the two, their attraction to each other erupts in a fiery passion. But is that enough or is there more to their relationship? All I know is… I want MORE of Natalie and Blake! I hope to see them again as this series continues.

And let me tell you, this book is written very well!!
It's about Natalie, who becomes an instant star by YouTube. And that requires a bodyguard! Entering Blake, the strong and silent type. But with the biggest heart! And of course the sexual chemistry...it's of the charts!
The story is full of angst and sexual tension. It's a quick read, but oh so good!

Another fantastic read Hazel Jacobs!! After Natalie hitting it big on YouTube, she finds she needs a bodyguard in her life and Blake enters her life!! These two keeping it professional then taking it to the next level!! Loved Natalie and Blake together, then we have Shane Natalie's best friend he was the best!!!

This is my voluntary review after receiving an ARC of this book. If you are looking for a quick hot read and you love the whole scenario of the hot bodyguard then this book will tick all the boxes. This story surrounds Natalie and her bodyguard Blake, can she get him to realise that she is not like the other woman in his past or will he forever just be the bodyguard.

when Natalie summers goes viral she doesn't expect how crazy her life becomes , needing a bodyguard!? surely that's a bit extreme right? however when she meets Blake she can't help but be drawn to him , maybe having a bodyguard isn't such a bad idea , especially when he looks as good as this! but can she melt down his frozen walls or will he just be temptation in a tight t-shirt and nothing more?
I seriously loved this book, I loved the characters and how it all played out , I hope we get more from Natalie and definitely more from Shane! what a character! this is a must read for sure

Oh boy what a short hot sexy read!! I wanted more, I didn't want it to end! Natalie is such a lovely person and you feel so happy for her when her you tube videos get her noticed. She then ends up with a bodyguard who turns out to be one hot sexy hunk! Who could complain about that!?! I'm thinking I need to start doing some you tube videos to get myself one ;). I can't wait to read more about these two and of course her best friend Shane. He sounds like the perfect gay friend that everyone needs. Another fantastic read, most definitely worth 5 stars *****
