This was better than I was expecting but there were some very strange errors that I find it hard to believe the creative team could have made if they were actually fans of the game. I can't believe, for example, anybody who was actually a fan of the game wouldn't know the difference between dwarfs and halflings...

This book could be great with a little more attention to detail.

First of all, why the hell if you have a cover with Bob Bifford & Jim Johnson don't you use it for this paperback edition?

After a good dark start we can see the old glory Dreng Sturnblud in an "heroes for hire" (free) version, in the Crumpo’s Mootland Munchers dwarves. An unlucky debut - and last game - for this team but not for our player. Soon arrive the first match between the protagonist and his human team (excepted for the Ogre ‘Tiny’ Gar) against the enemy orcs, commented by Cabalvision. Not bad but I prefer the fight with the Nuln Oilers in the pub :D
The following Hochland Harbingers appointments on (and out of) the pitch show us a series of races and sketch that illustrate all the fantastic aspects of this sport, but no story. And I can’t call Dreng: protagonist. What did he do, more than the others, to be worthy of that name? He's not even the nicest. Neither the illustrations combined with such strong colors, giving a sensation of plasticised to the result, were up to the task.
Well, I love this game, then, I like this funny comic… Unfortunately the plot not so much. Seems more like a Blood Bowl’ tribute than a comic about it. Sometimes remember me the movie “The Replacements”…

Even here except for ‘Tiny’ Gar… Hurr, hurr XD

P.S.
If you don’t know Blood Bowl I prefer that will be Bob to explain you what it is:
“Firstly, I'd say under what toilet in the Realm of Chaos have you been hiding? Then I'd begrudgingly explain that Blood Bowl is a visceral, violent sport where two teams of players must get an inflated pig bladder - or "ball" - across a large field into the opponents' end zone by any means necessary, to score a touchdown.”
End :P

Never played the board or the computer game, but the underdog sports storyline was enjoyable to read, even if the characters all get mixed up after a while (and all the MCs have plot armour).

A fun read with a lot of stuff crammed into it. There were several games of BB (five!) and a lot of stuff happening on the side too. Well worth the 99 pennies I paid for it. 😁

Good comic book adaptation of the classic tabletop game from Games Workshop with familiar commentators Jim and Bob in their usual roles!
