File this under "ethnic erotica" and go for it. 24 stories previously released individually now under a single title, and Pink Fortress (previously unreleased).
With varying levels of heat from Serrano to Habenero, this collection does a good job of lighting a fire. Minor quibble with what I refer to as "rapper language" detracted for me a bit but this is a worthwhile read.
Are these told in the first person or do the characters become our narrator? It’s all a mystery but this book opens the imagination. Be prepared to be a voyeur into a sexy window of time.
Each chapter has a title and each is totally different from the others so there’s no chance of getting lost. This book is great for those that are short on time. You could read one chapter/story a day. It’s a great vehicle to use a bookmark for. Personally I’m glad that I got a hard copy to review. If not, it might have burned up my e-reader. There are certain books that I prefer in audio, ones I prefer in electronic format, and ones that just push my buttons when I get to actually turn a physical page.
I forgot about what was going on around me, got lost in the story, and sad when I had come to the point when I had to use my bookmark. Only thing you would have to decide is if you want to read this before going to work. You may have to run the A/C while you drive.
I found that my least favorite was titled Mrs. Santiago and that’s because the male character seemed to be a little full of himself. But it’s also a great showcase of this author’s talent. It shows a good writing style when a reader can hate a character. I had no complaints about the writing style but I’m showing my age when I didn’t understand some of the lingo. Can’t wait to read the book again and I just may take it on vacation with me – the sea breeze should help to keep my skin cool.
. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
The book kept my attention and was fun to read but I honesty didn't like how each chapter was a whole different story. I personally would have preferred to read one story rather than a bunch of short stories. Good reads win review.
