In a Zodiac-based world, finding a mate is easy. Falling in love is the hard part.
Astrology influences almost everything, from career choice to where people live. Even romantic matches are based solely on astrological compatibility and determined by the infallible Council of Venus.
Animal psychic, Tierra, has every reason to trust the Council save one. Her match with fellow Virgo, Evander, works better on paper than in person. But she stubbornly hangs on, believing their relationship will grow and develop, all the while trying to rationalize her feelings about Lachlan.
Veterinarian and Reiki master, Lachlan, hides a secret that has kept him single for more than two years. This Pisces dreams of a happily ever after with Tierra but believes it’s impossible for him.
Tierra and Lachlan must confront their doubts, differences, and society’s belief in the Council. Will they defy the odds and choose each other? Does astrological certainty eclipse the chance to fall in love?

In addition to being a wife and cat mommy, she’s a professional procrastinator, Virgo, and the author of paranormal mystery novels Magick Charm, Free Spirit, and paranormal romance Practically Dreaming. She is currently working on sequels as well as entirely new stories.

Jen loves a good book and is usually found with her nose in one. She has a never-ending to-be-read pile and is rarely seen without her Kindle or a paperback.
When she's not writing or reading, Jen engages in some of her favorite hobbies, like making jewelry, photography, sewing, and pottery class. She also enjoys traveling, crafting cocktails at her tiki bar, and playing complicated board games. Her guilty pleasures include binge-watching The Walking Dead and shopping for new Coach purses.
I loved this book to death! The astrological aspects are not only gripping, they're informative. I study astrology with a very gifted man and I can honestly say this book stayed true to astrology and the quirks it creates in us. And the compassion between animals and humans in this book is so heartwarming, no doubt. But it's the mystery of a well kept secret that will keep you turning those pages.
Fun, Light, & Entertaining. Great Novel Practically Dreaming is a well written and very sweet romance novel. I loved the astrological aspects written into the story and could relate to the aspects of Pisces written for one of the main characters. I was also continually entertained by the main character's ability to communicate with animals. And although these points were an integral part of the story line, it in no way was over done or too much. The main plot is about a veterinarian named Tierra, who is helping her mother through cancer treatments, and then inadvertantly meets the very handsome Lachlan while her life back home is falling apart. I thoroughly enjoyed every page and would highly recommend this novel. I'd like to add that I am also an animal lover and like astrology, so this book was a great fit for me.
This book was fantastic. I loved most of the characters and loved hating the rest. As a student of Astrology the Astrology aspect was fantastic and gave me something to think about. Finally, I'm a pet lover and adored this aspect of the book. It was a book I had trouble putting down, and was very frustrated with having to sleep, eat and go to work.
Jennifer Wells second book, Practically Dreaming, is a must have and a keeper for all paranormal romance book lovers.
Ms. Wells makes the unbelievable… believable. Practically Dreaming is set in an astrologically driven world where your astrology chart helps determine where you live, what you do for a living, and even who your “love match” may be. Ms. Wells makes this world not only seem plausible, but realistic and fun!
Her characters are loveable (and some hate-able) and the entirely too cute animals make for some very entertaining moments.
I liked Jennifer Wells after reading Magick Charm and now, after reading Practically Dreaming, I’m definitely a fan!
It was a good book, but I felt that Tierra was too hesitant and never made progress in her relationship with Lachlan until she finds the flaw about the Council, and even then she never really trusted her heart until the very end. But to be fair, it was stated many times that Tierra is a Virgo, thus practical, and I am a Libra, thus romantic, so her practicality would never had sat right for me. But other than that it was great! I loved Lachlan and the twins. I was right with Tierra when she wanted to punch Evander and Mystral. The animals were adorable and I loved thier antics. :) Lachlan and Tierra are perfect together. I can't wait for future novels but Mrs. Wells!!
