HANK I’m a cowhand. I’ve never pretended to be anything more, but that didn’t give her the right to pretend that I wasn’t smart enough to have read all those fancy books she taught her students, or that I wasn’t brave enough to have served my country. Her and her privileged background—what did she know about working for a living? What did she know about pride and bravery? But there was something about her, something irresistible. And when she got herself caught up in the middle of the very first case Gray Wolf Security’s newest office was assigned to handle—that I was assigned to handle—I couldn’t quite find a way to keep my distance from her. Would I have kept my distance if I’d known I’d have to make a choice between her and Sutherland Knight, my best friend’s widow, and my boss? What the hell have I gotten myself into?
GRAINGER I grew up on a farm, but I left there the moment I could to join the Navy and then I got myself engaged to a Santa Monica beauty. The last thing I wanted was to be shipped off to Wyoming to go back to the life I'd left behind. But here I was, pretending to be married to a short, curvy woman who was nothing like the beauty who ran off with my best buddy. I don't know why Ash Grayson would think joining this new satellite office of Gray Wolf would help heal my broken heart. Yet, there was something beautiful in the simplicity of small town life. And Eve Spraberry might not be the angel the town seemed to think she was, but she was angelic enough to distract me from the life I left behind and that was kind of the point, wasn't it?
LANCE Becky was a mystery from the moment I set eyes on her. I knew she was a single mother and that sometimes came with some wariness, but her resistance to my charms was extraordinarily strong. She wanted me—I could feel it in her kisses—but she pulled away when things got too deep. I could never have imagined, however, how dark the mystery really was. No one could have guessed that Becky, MidKnight Ranch's reliable employee over the past five years, was on the run from the FBI. Yet, here we were, running from an FBI agent, sleeping on the frozen ground and planning on abandoning everything we'd ever known—including her daughter. What had I gotten myself into with this woman? And how was I going to get out? Did I even want to get out?
CLINTON I came here for my own reasons, the job just playing a secondary role to my prime objective. It was fortuitous when the Mahoney raid was suggested and my captain gave me the opportunity to take part. After all, I'd worked with the DEA in Florida, at least as far as he knew. Taking down a drug operation like the Mahoney Cartel should be just a walk in the park for me. I didn't anticipate it turning into a complete ambush or that she would be the one to come to my rescue. She was beautiful and resourceful, but she was a distraction. I couldn't let anything stand in the way of me and my prime objective.
SUTHERLAND I’m a widow. I’m a mother. I’m a rancher. Nowhere in that description is lover or savior. But some cosmic force thought it would be hilarious to throw in the Hollywood hunk next door at the same time some massive criminal organization decides to kidnap my dead husband’s best friend, my mentor, my friend. To add to the list, someone’s been sabotaging my ranch and someone else has been stealing secrets from my office and giving them to the enemy. Or maybe it’s the same person. How am I supposed to figure it out? I’m too busy falling into bed with the Hollywood hunk and trying to figure out where Ashford Grayson is being held while making sure the cattle doesn’t burn up in a grass fire. All in a day’s work? Welcome to the chaos.
The story was actually pretty enjoyable, but I did have a few issues with the set. First the story itself. The entire set flows pretty smoothly, revealing information here and there as it pertains to the characters, building up the bonds between the client and the operative, and adding elements of danger here and there, making it seem more interesting. One of the major issues was editing. I feel like there could've been more time spent on this because of the simple errors. Another thing was the repetitive nature of this particular set. The stories of some of the characters were told over and over again. Instead of repeating the same stories, there could've been more time spent explaining what Carrington was being blackmailed with, Sutherland's brother had a pretty good backstory, and the aftermath between Joss and Carrington could've been detailed.

I deducted a star for really poor proofreading. So many bad and incorrect word choices (reign/rein, etc) and careless editing.
The stories are somewhat unbelievable, too, which makes it a little more difficult to continue reading. The improbability is one thing, but the totally inappropriate times at which the characters in some of these stories decide to have sex is pretty ridiculous. BTW, am I the only one who noticed that no one in this entire series mentions or uses a condom? Unusual in romantic fiction these days, but maybe more realistic than I think.
Too bad, because the last story brings out a pretty good chase and dangerous times for the team. There could have been a lot more to recommend this without the incongruity of the pairings and the poor timing.
Was gripped from beginning to end. Loved the way each Gray wolf has been sold as a box set so you don't have to wait for the next book. Although it's written as individual operatives it's great how each book is a follow on as such. It still gives you an insight into the couples you've just met and their continuing stories. I like the way this box set tied the other two into it.
I still maintain that Gray Wolf is probably my most favourite series of books and blow me Gray Wolf 2 was even more explosive! I was on the edge of my seat by the time we got to Sutherland's story! Absolutely frickingfantastic! I'm now in a depression because I know nothing will come close to how fantastic this author is! Thank God for the other few books I haven't read yet or I would be on the sofa moping!
I have really enjoyed the Gray Wolf and Ash. What a manly man! The ending left me confused as to what was the occasion for everyone showing up at Sutherland's place? The editing mistakes in all of the Gray Wolf books seriously got on my nerves. Not sure if it was a Kindle issue or not, but seriously, get this fixed. It does detract from the story when you have to re-read a sentence several times to figure out what its supposed to say.
These are all the books in this series and the main characters. I love this series and have read a couple of the others. All of the books are suspenseful and they are after Jack Mahoney who is taking over all of the large gangs. He has police, politicians, government officials, and others in his pocket. He uses blackmail to control people. Each book was so good, I didn’t want the series to end. I strongly encourage you to read the books.
This was a good read. The original is still my favorite. There quite a bit of editing issues. The ultimate ending was great but how they wrapped up the suspense of the story seem unrealistic. I would've expected more anger from the characters and not how they easily forgive the person who did them wrong.
I liked the suspense in the series, but the really poor editing had a huge impact on the enjoyment factor. Simple things like she, not he. Missing verbs. Misspellings. Instead of infected, it reads infective. Character names confused. I get it, but find some faithful readers to proof. Lots of authors have links to make/identify mistakes for the author.
I enjoyed reading the original so I purchased Wyoming. Great stories, I t h ought grittier than the first. When I got to Sutherlands story, I couldn't put it down. A very good read, just the right amount of romance between the action.
This is such a fast moving story and you never know who is a good guy or a
I could not put it down it has such interesting people that you are never sure who the good and who is dangerous . I would recommend this to all f you.
Another winning series by Glenna Sinclair! Fill of romance, mystery, intrigue, and lots of surprises. Now on to the next one. Finished this set of books in less than a day too!!! :-)
I couldn't put this book down. I've read most of Ms Sinclair's books and have yet to be disappointed. However, I was extremely disappointed in the editing. It's a disservice to an author, to be this careless!
Each story was different yet they rolled perfectly into the next. I would have given 5 stars but there were a lot of grammatical errors, and that just really bothers me.
I'm not usually all that into stories about military personnel, but I really loved this collection. The characters were well developed, the action nonstop, and romances were steamy. If you enjoy those things, you'll enjoy these stories. Enjoy!
I might be wrong but were the first grey f security not werewolves? Maybe I'm wrong but if they were he could have overcome a lot of problems just by being that. I could be wrong but what I remember all the books were great
This is the second series I've read by Glenna Sinclair and they are both very good. Plenty of action and steamy love scenes. The close relationship between the characters gives the story lines more depth and make them easier to enjoy.
This was a great series. It was just as awesome as the other two series before this one. I would definitely recommend all three of these series to read.🙌🙌🙌👺👍👍👍👍👍
Okay. The original, Texas, and now Wyoming. Man do I love these men and women in and out of uniform. Taking on criminals like they cops. Well I guess some of them were...lol
