Stars of Fortune Sasha Riggs is a reclusive artist, haunted by nightmares that she turns into extraordinary paintings. Her visions lead her to the Greek island of Corfu, where five others have been lured to seek the fire star. Sasha recognizes them, because she has drawn them: a magician, an archaeologist, a wanderer, a fighter, a loner. Sasha is the one who holds them together—the seer. And in the magician, Bran Killian, she sees a man of immense power and compassion. As Sasha struggles with her rare ability, Bran is there to support her. But Sasha and Bran are just two of the six. And they all must work together as a team to find the fire star in a cradle of land beneath the seas.…

Six different being are brought together to find the fire star, and other stars These books all deal with the danger in completing this mission. One is a mermaid. It has a paranormal fantasy theme to this trilogy. I love this writer, and her trilogies are a favorite. Five stars. I know I read these books yrs aga, but came across a book that contained all three separate stories , and was happy to reread them.
I started reading Stars of Fortune I loved it and finished in one day. Then I moved on to Bay of Sighs , took two days - loving this fantasy based series. Just what I wanted.
Stars of Fortune Sasha is a prophetic seer. Though she fights them, her visions bring her to the island of Corfu. What she finds there won't be gyro's and beaches.
She meets the other five people that have plagued her dreams and waking moments for months, then finds herself on a quest to save three fallen stars from an evil god, hell bent (ha!) on taking the stars for herself and turning the world dark, filled with screams and pain.
I loved watching Sasha grow into herself, how she dealt with the changes that was required of her, both physically and mentally. And to see how Bran supported her, encouraged her and gave her the "tough love" when needed.
Bay of Sighs Annika's secret is out. Now she has only three months to find the other two stars, return them where they belong and defeat a god. Easy, right?
Sawyer has been around the world, and has seen many things. Nothing compares to Annika, one of the other five that has joined their merry band to save the world.
I loved reading about Annika. Her excitement for everything will put a smile on your face. The clock is ticking and every moment counts. And the moments that really count are the ones you take for the one you love.
Island of Glass Riley loves to dig - and finding the answers that they need for the final star and the hidden island is right up her alley. Only catch is, there's a god on her tail that wants to end her life.
Dolye has tried to keep the rest of their group from burrowing into his heart. Though he has a reason for keeping it safe, all bets are off with the other five quest members. Especially one that looks at him with her beautiful eyes.
It's the final round for The Guardians. Will they be able to defeat the god who wants to end their existence? Will all the worlds see for the first time in a millennia the three stars in the night sky?
I loved this series. I had a hard time putting it down.
This trilogy was the NR of old - an enjoyable read. There were definitely shades of the Circle Trilogy, but interesting differences too, enough to enable a reader to continue on the journey without too much comparison.
There are six distinct characters, who partner off throughout the three books. At times they could be annoying, simply because they were really stereotyped (super-nice/maternal Sasha, complete know-it-all lycan (NOT WEREWOLF!!) Riley, child-cum-Scandi tourist Annika (had to keep reminding myself she had black hair, surfer dude-Russian Sawyer and boorish oaf Boyd). Actually, come to think of it, only Bran (magician/wizard) and his magicks (note the "K" allows authenticity) was tolerable in all books.
Nevertheless the mix of good versus evil mingled with solid romances carried the trilogy well.
I’ve only read the first book until now but I needed to come recommend it, this book is amazing there’s fantasy, secrets, romance, friendship, it really surprised me, it’s an easy read, I absolutely loved the story and the development of the characters (which I’m completely attached too), it’s written in 3rd person and I believe each book will focus more in a different pair of characters, I am super excited to read the next one. PLEASE GIVE IT A CHANCE although it’s the classic good Vs bad and kind of predictable it is worth it, but you need to have that in mind before you start reading, otherwise you may disappoint yourself.
Had to gulp down a bit of Nora Roberts after slogging my way through a few very tough, almost inedible literary novels/Booker finalists. No shame! This is a classic Roberts trilogy: you get exactly what you came for, with one surprising bonus: the most charming mermaid character, who made me smile out loud every time she appeared.
I love Nora Roberts but I especially loved this trilogy. From the settings to the characters, the magic and the danger it was all great. I love the formula, I love knowing everyone is going to fall in love and good will win over evil. I read this trilogy on vacation and it was perfect for that. Escapism 10/10
Cute love / action story continues in book 2. Evil is bad good is good and quirky characters stay unique and super hero references falling here and there fits m need at this time. Although since series was written 2016 what references would be like if "Guardians of the Galaxy", had been out prior to the writing.
Fantastic series! Enjoyed the characters, the challenges and the trumpet! Enjoyed each book, so much, 1st and last books especially....but only because I love the beginning of an adventure and desperately wanted to reach the end, to find out what happened. Great books, each one!
Guardians Trilogy Collection Set (Stars of Fortune, Bay of Sighs, Island of Glass) by Nora Roberts – Another magical trilogy from the queen of romance! Happy Reading!
One of my favorite series. I now have only the audible version, as I had to sell all my books. It's one of my re-read series and was my first Nora Roberts series' I read
