Emme Sullivan’s out to change everything about her life—starting with her virginity!
Emme has spent most of her life caring for her mother. There’s been no time for wild partying, dancing on table-tops or waking up the next morning with a pair of briefs and no clue who they belong to, but now Emme’s ready to start living in a big, big way. She just needs to get hold of some serious cash.
Her plan begins with having her very first peek inside a guys pants.
All Emme needs to do is to find someone willing to drop his briefs for her—bored, arrogant Jacques DuMont is just that guy. But after Emme storms off, Jacques hasn’t been able to get her out of his head.
When Jacques discovers Emme’s delicious little secret and just what she’s offering for the right price, their two worlds collide in an eruption of temper and undeniable attraction.
Ava Larksen is best known for her rather wicked romantasy love stories.
When not writing or reading, she's watching apartment tours and attempting to tame her wild backyard into a charming kitchen garden.
Settled on the rugged coast of Aotearoa, Ava lives in a shambles of a bach with her partner, two boys, a wild cat, and chickens who refuse to believe they don't live in the house.
I loved Emme from the very beginning. That awkward girl at the party caught my attention and apparently Jacques too. It was refreshing how Emme was not afraid to express her feelings. She might have been naive but she was confident in her quest for a better future. Jacques was impressed with her at first but his attraction grew even more once he happened upon her at the most unexpected place while she was offering a prize he was anxious to win. They strive to keep it light but everyone knows that never lasts. What a difference a weekend makes. This story had super sexy moments that rocked the romance and kept me engaged until the end.
Emme-Weekend with the Playboy was the first book I've read by author, Ava Larksen. I was pleasantly surprised how I enjoyed the book by the end of the story. I had a hard time with the story in the beginning but as I continued to read on I began to enjoy it more. The author is a good writer but I found the setting of the story a little to archaic. I also would have preferred that the two main characters Emme and Jacques were introduced to each other under different circumstances and how they were reacquainted to each other was a little disturbing. I found myself focusing on how their feelings were developing instead of focusing on where they were meeting at again. This book is full of sexual situations throughout the book but they are pertinent to the storyline. Emme's shyness throughout the book pulls on your heart strings and I'm glad she discovered an alpha like Jacques. I wish the author would have expanded on their relationship at the end but maybe there will be a book 2 I would give this book 4 stars.- Julie
the guy was still so hung up on his ex at about 80% mark and never got the opportunity to resolve his feelings. the h wasn't particularly likable either - that she agreed to sell herself for 3 months to raise money for culinary school is a cop out too me.
