The brainy, understatedly sexy journalist sets off on a journey of sexual self-discovery led by none other than the master himself, Trey Armstrong.
Tess Oliver is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Custom Culture series and a large collection of other romances. She is well known for her relatable characters who "become your friends" as you journey with them and for intriguing stories that will have you "devouring her books in just one day". Tess has been featured on USA Today's 'Happy Ever After' site, and in publications including Glamour UK and Elle UK magazines.
After reading and loving Wingman, I knew I would read more books by Tess Oliver. I didn’t love Easy Come, but I did like it. This book is quick, fast paced, hot and enjoyable. But I didn’t always feel the connection between the characters. I do want to read the other books of the Plaything series one day, because I’m too curious about the other owners.
Georgie loves being a journalist and loved writing for a magazine until the owner was replaced. That new owner wants more gossip and rumors, so not the serious stuff Georgie writes. The owner gives Georgie one chance and Georgie wants to try it. She needs to find dirt on one of the owners of Plaything, but he has no time and that’s how Georgie meets Trey. Trey sees Georgie’s article as free advertisement, so he wants to please her. He likes her immediately and he has a proposition for her that could benefit both of them.
I liked the characters and I liked them together. Georgie is passionate, talented, loving and insecure. She isn’t happy with her job anymore, but she doesn’t know what to do about that. Georgie is attracted to Trey from the start, but she thinks that she isn’t good enough for him. She hasn’t had many boyfriends. She isn’t sure how to act or what to say to Trey. Georgie does become more confident and she feels more comfortable around Trey.
Trey is a rich and successful businessman. He loves his job and enjoys his life. He’s close and best friends with his business partners. Georgie isn’t like the other women Trey has met and he wants her. He loves to take her out and to get to know her better. The more he spends time with her, the more he likes her.
I loved the story of Trey and Georgie. The book was a short easy read so it did not lack in the storyline. It jumped into the book from the first few pages. I like how it was short, to the point. It was all about them without much "background noise". Trey seems like a great character and the chemistry between these two is amazing!

I really enjoyed this! A quick and easy read that was scorching hot and a delight. My favorite was the female MC, Georgie Dempsey. She was so darn adorable and loved her verbal diarrhea. It made me chuckle. I'll definitely read the rest of the books in the series.
******some words have been altered to fit review criteria******
Trey is an alpha male, and he likes to blame his problems on Georgie, "darnit, Georgie, what the heck have you done to me?" I yanked her into my arms and my mouth slammed down over hers." Trey is like a boy scout he's always prepared, "I don't want to kill the mood, but do you have a condom?" Even his *** was gorgeous as he walked to the dresser and pulled a handful of condoms out of his overnight bag. He carried the fistful of condoms to the bed and dropped them on the nightstand. "Wow, yes. I guess the answer is yes. I like a man who comes prepared." My eyes flicked sideways to the shiny packages piled on the nightstand. "That's a lot of them." This was a quick read and I really enjoyed it.
Easy Come is book one by Tess Oliver from her new series Plaything. Plaything is about four bachelor's that open a business in providing pleasure in a box every month for a price, each month there is a different sexual theme guarantee to give you pleasure. Georgie is the female lead of this story, she is a journalist who has been giving an assignment by her editor to go to Plaything and get all the dirt on the company. Georgie gets the pleasure of meeting Playboy, co founder Trey Armstrong for her interview. Trey will suggest Georgie really get to know the company by getting a pleasure box and letting him show all the ways to reach that pleasure, but there is one rule There is NO Touching. Trey has lusted after Georgie the minute she walked in his office, he makes the suggestion to help her with her article but he didn't know it would make him crazy and lose all control. He has to keep his hands off her, but how can he when she is so tempting. Will Georgie get the dirt on Plaything or will she end being someone's Plaything? Can Trey keep his hands to himself and let Georgie walk away?I highly recommend this story, Easy Come is sexy, freeing, has some interesting characters and a great storyline. I voluntary received an Advanced Reader Copy of this story for an honest review. Happy Reading!!!
Georgie and Trey’s story is filled with lots of fun and sexy banter. They are both smart and beautiful in their own way but one is much less experienced in her sexuality than he is. With Trey’s help, Georgie not only finds her sexuality, but she also finds the man she’s been waiting for. This story is short and sexy!
I absolutely loved this story! The biggest problem is that it is absolutely way to short!!!! I love all the characters! The writing is so witty and smooth. Easy to read and become absorbed in. I loved it! I want more!
I needed a little something between my Satanic Panic murder book and my Nazi book. This was that something. And while it was not good, it served it's purpose fine lol.
OMG I love Tess Oliver! Her stories are wonderful.. They pull you in and don't let you go. Plaything is a new series and I just love it. Trey is one of the playboy owners of Plaything. Georgie is a reporter who is sent to dig up the dirt on the company. Will Georgie's love life go from peanut butter sandwich to filet mignon?
❤EASY COME....EASY O ❤ Tess Oliver has done it again....If you read her Silk Stocking Inn series (and if you didn't, why not?) she wrote 5 shorter than her regular length books, all different but all connected....EASY COME is the 1st installment of her new PLAYTHING series using the same model of shorter-books series, and she's already hooked me with EASY COME....It's obvious that PLAYTHING is going to be another good one!!!! Georgiana Dempsey is a legitimate reporter who hates her job....no, she actually hates her new boss, who has not only turned a respected magazine into a tabloid, but, now, she has given Georgie, an award winning reporter, an assignment to write a story about a sex-industry company, named Plaything...Georgie's boss is hoping Georgie will dig up some dirt on this company, specifically, because one of the owners (understandably) dumped the boss. Trey Armstrong, one of the owners of Plaything (who, by the way, is NOT the owner who dumped Georgie's boss) gets "stuck" with the interview, but when Georgie walks in, big glasses, ultra (almost old-lady) conservative clothes and hair, Trey sees a beautiful, sexy woman hiding her sexuality under her outward appearance, and offers to help....mostly, so he can spend more time with her. Obviously Georgie feels a connection immediately with Trey, but her lack of self confidence and experience and her fear of rejection (same reason she "hides her light under a bushel basket") would never let her believe he could be interested in her. But Trey is offering something Georgie desperately wants...and needs......And, Trey knows he can give her that something while he gets what he wants and needs, too, all under the guise of "stimulating" publicity for his company.... Trey, be careful what you wish for!!!! If you are wishing for another great Tess Oliver series, which aren't we all, Plaything is off to a great start with EASY COME. Looks like Tess is going to find our SWEET SPOT next!!! Don't miss out on this series...and if you haven't already, read her Silk Stocking Inn series, too.
Easy Come is the first book in a new series from Tess Oliver called Plaything and is about Georgie and Trey. Georgie is a journalist at a nationwide magazine that's gone from a respected news magazine to a salacious tabloid. She has been assigned to write an article about Plaything, a multi-million dollar company in the pleasure industry, run by four notorious playboys, with the intent on digging up some dirt. Trey is one of those four men, and the job of being interviewed by the reporter has been handed to him by Chase, another owner (& the ex of Georgie's boss).
When Georgie first sees Trey, she is quite smitten with him. And Trey? All he knows is Georgie is hot and he wants her. After some of the usual interview questions, he takes her to lunch for a more intimate meeting with an idea that will benefit all parties: his company, her magazine, and Georgie (& Trey as well
My only question to the author is this- Since Trey is "fictional" (not sure I believe that), I feel like the consolation prize should be a Plaything Box. So since I can't have the man, where's my Easy Come, Easy O?
Seriously, I love reading Tess Oliver. There is always heat, always lust that has you panting, and always has you smiling that shy smile of being turned on in public but trying to hide it. Sorry I was talking about me, but hey the book too!
Quick hot lust with enough tension to keep you on edge and that's just the first time Georgie meets Trey. I'm hoping Trey wouldn't mind me subbing for Georgie. That man has a way with words....hot damn. Turned on by his hands off approach...just image what he can do with those hands!
When (not if) you buy the book, you may need a toy to go with it. I can't wait for the subsequent books. I can only imagine the naughty themes...yes, I'm actually trying to think up some of my own. (This is where the naughty eyebrow wiggling and raising happens)
I loved this book! Tess Oliver has done it again! This is the first of a new series Plaything Book one, Easy Come, and it tells the story of a young woman who is a really good reporter. Unfortunately, her editor can no longer work so his wife took over and she is turning the once good place to work into a place where they only want to publish gossip and trash, and smut.
Georgie Dempsey is the reporter, and her boss wants her to go snoop around and see if she can get some dirt on a company called Plaything, Georgie is hesitant as she has always written the truth. Georgie also knows her boss was dating one of the owners of Plaything, but after a couple of dates her boss was no longer dating that man and so she wants revenge on his dumping her! Will Georgie find any dirt? Needless to say, what she thought she would find out and actually did find out are two very different things!
Georgie goes to do the interview and the man who had dated her boss, had her interview with someone else! Trey Armstrong is the boss she does interview and there is an instant connection between them. Read this book and see what happens, and how "Georgie comes into her own", after spending some time with the oh so handsome Trey Armstrong!
This book is a shorter novel, but it is just as good as any of her other books, in fact a little bit hotter and lots of angst, great dialog and characters you can identify with! This book is like the length of her awesome Silk Stocking Inn Series, and I devoured this book in one sitting!
If you have not read any of Tess Oliver's books, you are totally missing out! She has all kinds of novels whether you want a touch of magic ( Silk Stocking Inn Series), historical, young adult, hot brothers, her famous Custom Culture Series, Bluefield Bad Boys, Rainshadow(New Adult Motorcycle series, Barringer Brothers Series, FMX Brothers Series and several stand alone titles that I particularly loved like That Time with Sugar, and Blackpool Cove!
I gave this book 5***** daring stars! I can't wait for the next book in this series!
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Easy Come is the first book in Tess Oliver’s new series called Plaything. Let me start by saying that Tess Oliver has done it again…another book I just love. Easy Come (Plaything Book #1) is about Trey Armstrong and Georgie Dempsey. Trey is one of four owners of Plaything, a pleasure subscription service. Georgie is an award winning journalist. Trey is a hot, sexy, tattooed playboy. Georgie is a sexy beautiful woman who hides her beauty behind her librarian-style wardrobe. Georgie’s boss used to date one of the owners of Plaything. Their relationship ended badly, so she assigns Georgie to write an article on Plaything in the hopes that Georgie would find something bad about the company and write the article hoping that it would hurt the company and its reputation. Trey knows exactly why Georgie is there, and what kind of article Georgie’s boss is expecting. There is instant attraction from the minute Trey and Georgie meet. Trey makes a proposition to Georgie, one that includes a box of “pleasure goodies”, and surprising to even Georgie, she accepts the challenge. I do not want to say much more as it will then contain spoilers, and I just cannot do that to you. Tess Oliver takes you on such a journey with Trey and Georgie. This was a quick read with instant attraction. I read Easy Come in one sitting. If you have not any of Tess Oliver books, you truly are missing out. Whether her stories involve instant attraction, angst or mystery, you can always count on a fantastic read with great character development, and let’s not forget about the mind-blowing sex scenes. Easy Come is no different. The sex scenes will leave you saying “O”! Easy Come will also make you change your mind about peanut butter sandwiches. Thank you, Tess Oliver for another incredible book. I am looking forward to the next book, Sweet Spot.
This book was a sizzling quickie with humor and great witty banter!! Trey Armstrong and three other buddies opened a business called Plaything - it's a monthly subscription service where they send out a box of adult-themed items each month. Georgie Dempsey is a reporter who gets sent to Plaything for an expose (her boss dated one of the other guys and is looking for dirt.) Georgie isn't into this type of journalism, and when Trey convinces her to write an article on discovering her sexuality, she takes him up on it. This is one of those books where you kinda have to suspend belief (like, would a serious journalist really act like this?) and just go with it - kinda like this month's box called Easy Come, Easy O!" Georgie was funny and Trey was sexy as hell - just a fun read all around! I'm looking forward to reading about the other friends/partners and their escapades!
Discover your self.... Let Trey help you in how he can help you.
One very good, hot quick, well written read. Yes, that very much sums up Try and Georgie's book Easy Come. This book is based around a monthly "sex box" oops rather pleasure box... LoL let me back up... Reporter Georgie has to write an article about Trey's company. Well, really her boss sends her to meet Chase one of the owners( because she dated him ,and he dumped her) to write an expose on his company. Only Chase has an appointment already so one of his other friends and co owners meets with the reporter. Oh yes perfect. This book had the right amount of heat, and humor even to keep you interested. It has me not only turning the pages from the start to end but as soon as it was over I picked up the next book Sweet Spot. Yep that good.
Easy Come by Tess Oliver is a contemporary romance. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Oliver has delivered a well-written book. The characters are fantastic and perfect for this story. This story is written in first person, alternating point of view format, not my favorite but Ms. Oliver really made it work in this story. Georgie is a journalist/reporter for a magazine. Trey is part owner of Plaything, a company that ships sexy surprise boxes to subscribers every month. Georgie and Trey's story is loaded with drama, humor and smokin' hot sex. I loved this book from cover to cover and look forward to my next book by Tess Oliver. I especially enjoyed the humor in this story. Easy Come is book 1 of the Plaything Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Trey Armstrong is a very strong, yet seemingly compassionate Alpha male. Very handsome, yet very intuitive towards Georgie's insecurities and needs. She is beautiful but isn't aware of Her sexuality. Her peanut butter relationships. I loved the sexual tension between them, it was so thick you could cut it with a knife, even on my own kindle! And how honest and open their dialog was, he asked questions at their first meeting that I was blushing for her! But she answered him truthfully. He wanted her. She wanted him. I wanted to smack both of them! Get it together you two! This was SUCH a great book, I loved that we got both their points of view. I have found a great new writer and looking forward to reading more from her and more of this series.
What a great introduction to a new series by Tess Oliver!!! read it in one sitting :D
In the first instalment we have Georgie Dempsey who's a serious journal writer, but is asked by her new boss to write something more trashy. enter 4 friends who took the idea to take what they enjoy (sex & women) and make a subscription business called Plaything (very successfully I might add). Of the 4 friends Trey Armstrong is lucky fellow to awaken Georgie's sexuality and open herself up and not settle for Peanut Butter sandwiches. This book is about self discovery on every platform and to sometimes break the rules/ standards you set yourself.
Look out for Chase in book 2 he is quite the character ;) ;)
If you enjoy a hot little quickie, "Easy Come" just might be the book for you. George Dempsey worked for a respectable magazine until it was taken over by the owner's daughter. Now it is less than a journal and more like a tattle tale ragsheet specializing in gossip.
When Georgie is sent out to interview one of the three owners of an adults pleasure company that specializing is mailing out unique toys on a monthly basis, she has no clue she will participate in an experiment that bring about her sexual awareness and prowess. Yet that is exactly what happens when she met Trey Armstrong. Now, Trey has her investigating ways she can change her vanilla like sexual encounters into something a little more salacious.
This was a quick but fun read, Ted's Oliver at her best. Definitely put this on your to read list!
Trey is one of the owners of the business Plaything. It’s a sex toys business that is thriving and it is going really well for them. Georgie is a journalist for a magazine and she is given the opportunity to research and interview the owners of Plaything and write an article. The story twists though when Georgie and Trey meet for the first time. There is chemistry by the buckets and Trey convinces Georgie to write a different article about her and reawakening her sexual desires. I love the idea of the story and really enjoyed it. I did think it was slightly short and I would have liked to have had more of trey and Georgie but never the less I liked it.
Kindly provided with an ARC compliments of the author in exchange for an honest review.....
Ah its been a while since I reviewed one of Tess's master pieces. As always the lady delivers !!!
This was Trey and Georgie's story and was the tale of how the journalist wooed the CEO hotshot !! What's that saying "you always want what you carn't have ?". In this case Trey is used to getting exactly what he wants......this time his sights are set on Georgie. However does that plan work for Georgie ?. Just read this brilliant story to find out !!
Many thanks for this opportunity x Tess a pleasure as always x
This was exactly what I needed. It was the perfect book! It's a short story with the perfect amount of romance. I really enjoyed the two points of views and really liked both Trey and Georgie. I thought they had a great connection, and loved how Trey really wanted Georgie even though he was basically told he couldn't touch her. I Georgie's character developing was interesting to read and it was nice to see how much her character grew in such a short amount of time. I've already purchased the next book in the series, and can't wait to get started reading Chase's story.
Easy come is a great short read that has the exceptionally hot steamy scenes you can expect from Tess and boy was it sexy!!! Georgie was a smart sweet reporter stuck in a rut when it comes to her sex life. Trey a hot sexy rich guy with a playboy past instantly falls for Georgie... They have great chemistry together and I can't wait for more from this series!!!

This is Trey and Georgie's book. Georgie is called into her editors office saying that her piece that she wrote wasn't going to work and was given a new assignment to write an article on Plaything. Georgie was supposed to meet with Chase but it turned out that he double booked himself and asked Trey to cover for him. This book is very well written and the characters are very well developed. I loved that I found this book very hard to put down. I can't wait to read more books by Tess Oliver.
