I am no a quitter......
I finished this book because I'm not a quitter, The struggle was really really real. I hate to leave bad reviews, I thought this was the author's first book. I was sadly mistaken.

This was the first book in a new series to me. This book was boring and I had a hard time connecting to the characters in this book. Nico Riccardi is a hot sexy Italian who is the son of a min boss he came to America to get away from his father after he killed his brother. Eve Morgan never thought she would be with a guy who is in the mafia. I love reading mafia romance for some reason this book did not hold my attention to the point where I just completed it get it over with. I didn't like Nico's father he was a cold cruel man. I liked Nico but I didn't like Eve. Nico would do anything to keep the people he loves safe. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

I loved this story of Eve and Nico's love story. It was the low's and high's and low's again but you have to read the other two books to see what happens to them. After I finished reading this book I bought the other two books, The family secret part two and Out of Bondage book three. If you read this one you will want to get the other two. But I will write reviews on their individual stories. Just loved this romantic story.

This was just okay for me. I had a hard time connecting with the H/h. The story seemed disjointed like it was written too quickly.

Desire for healing and a normal life
That is what Nico wanted for himself. He did not count on falling in love with the little shop owner Eve Morgan, and neither did she. She had to work her emotions through her love for Nicco Riccardi. She knew he was dangerous but just the thought of her life without him did not set well. Nicco never thought he would ever love again after what his father Giuseppi and brother Luca did. He knew he had to protect Eve first and foremost, and he did so they could escape and start a new life together.
Jamila wrote an interesting story that was full of action and drama. I could not figure out what would happen next. I was angry and frustrated with Eve and her desire to get out, not understanding the danger, but she soon became a ride or die chick for Nico.

I'm not a fan of mafia stories. The rhapsodizing of violence, abuse and all things inimical is not entertaining for me.
I struggled to get thru this book. There is lots of sex. Some ideas appear to may have been planned to be developed, but the writer abandoned them, but forgot to remove them. One minute hero was fiancé a sentence later he was a husband and another few sentences later he was back to being a fiancé.

There was danger around every corner but Eve had to open her sweet shop. This particular day she wish she hadn't. A 16 yr running from someone, to handsome and beyond sexy Italian man asking questions. From then on her world would be turned upside down. The best was the sexy hot Italian who will sweep her away

This was a very good read. The sex was very realistic. I love the story line but felt that the relationship developed too quickly making it feel rushed. I would still recommend this book.

I finished this book all in one day...it took me about 5 hours to read.
I gave it 3 stars due to poor character development and a lot of editing, grammar errors. Other than that it was a predictable read but still enjoyable.
I wanted more dialogue instead of endless streams of endless thoughts. It was told from a birds eye, 3rd person view.
I love a good mafia romance and this missed the mark for me. I love a good mafia romance novel. But it was just odd that Nico broke in and then they had sex.
UGH! The sex scenes like a pick something and go with it! Its either a D or C, i get other people won't be bothered by it, but it bothered me. I didn't understand how she went from meek and mild woman to "choke me harder, Daddy.....harder! harder! it seemed a bit out of place for someone who had been single for years.
Some of the dialogue seemed more like early 20s and not some adults.
I did like characters although I felt like it was kinda shallow in the development of the characters. I liked Eve and how she did want to be her own person and didn't feel she needed to be protected from Nico.
I thought that Nico and Eve would've been better developed characters. I liked Daniella-although a bit of a side kick, I liked her character.
I am glad that he did express her love to her and she to him.

Listen I’m definitely not a quitter but yes I did stop reading the book for a few days just because there was something I just didn’t like about it. Like Nico character but not too much. He didn’t really act like a MAFIA boss such, a bit of a scaredy-cat if I might said. He cousin Dom was more of a MAFIA boss than him and he was under age (wanted to see or hear more about his storyline than the main persons to be honest) also didn’t like the female lead (can’t remember her name lol). She really didn’t serve a purpose at all than to have sex with the Nico that’s it 🤷🏽♀️ and to be an idiot half of the book. The book felt rush and a lot of storyline and plots seems to be missing. Overall the book felt lacking and rush and this is not the first book for this author. Sadly there’s a book 2 for which I won’t be read.

Hot and passionate Italian Mafia novel!!!!! I can’t describe how nice and hot is this book #1 , I loved Nico, the alpha Italian man how protective,hot, passionate for Eve he is. Nico is all about pleasure,protection, desire , slow and passionate love, Eve is a little bit weak, and annoying. Dominic is the cousin you want be in bed with but I’m sure that will be in one of the next books of the série . It’s a mafia dangerous love and hot romance where you ended up want finishing up the book in one day. Hot , secretive and full of excitement you will love how well and simple is this book . Hopefully on the next book we will see a strong Eve, that will do what she wants and be in charge of what she desire in life.

When this author is on her game, the story is on point, and the writing is excellent. The plot has the right number of twists and sexy moments with suitable intensity. It's an absolute joy to read, but this wasn't one of those times. The narrator's voice was flat and disengaging. The overall plot, while it had possibilities, got lost in the wordiness of the story and was filled with potholes. So much in this story didn't make sense, and I'm not fond of the characters. Enclosing, there is a plot that, despite how weak the rest of it is, has wonderful possibilities, but the rest of what is wrong will bury that. Maybe reading the book might be better than, in this case, having to listen to it.

The book was okay, I mean the sex scenes were great. You could really tell that Nico and Eve really had a connection. Other than that the story line in this book didn't have much action as I thought it would or should. I mean I loved the Love story that developed between Nico and Eve. These two people really fell for one another really fast. I was happy that Nico and Eve got away from that father. That is cousin really came through for Nico and Eve. But more action would have been great.

This book was enjoyable enough to read. Unfortunately I felt that it had so much more potential. It lost momentum about a third of the way in and became very predictable. It also lacked consistency and had a few manor editing errors that made it harder to follow at times. The book was mainly all about the sex, so if you are looking for a short erotica book this is a good choice.

It was good but
I wasn’t fond of the inner monologue style it made the book kind of dreary and slow. I liked the story and the characters and it was written well I just don’t think I like this kind of style where most things happen in people’s heads rather than as actual action and activity in the book

I couldn't put this book down. Nico stumbles into Eve's store to hide from men that are chasing him and with it starts a journey that will lead them through a perilous path. Will he be able to keep Eve safe along the way? This story is intriguing it starts off slow and can be confusing at times, but it ends well.

I wanted to love this book so very much. Unfortunately it was a swing and a miss. I love the idea of an interracial mafia romance but the potential was not met here.
Also, I know this isn’t super pertinent but Audi’s are German cars. Not Italian.
