Sophie Baxter is thirty-two years old & is tired of being alone. She wants a Dominate/Submissive relationship but has not had any luck finding a suitable Dom. When she hears about a new reality show featuring a submissive bachelorette looking for a committed relationship with a Dominate, she throws her name into the application pool. She is hoping that she is chosen to be on the show & that she can finally find her Mr. Right as long as he is not an actor…… been there done that, not going back. Dex Hampton is a sexy English film actor who has a successful career but is missing one thing in his life a meaningful committed relationship with a submissive. Jake Sinclair is the golden boy Aussie actor who loves to do his own stunts & lives life to the fullest but he is lacking one thing a serious relationship with a submissive. When Dex & Jake are asked to be candidates on the new reality show they are both skeptical but when they get a look at Sophie they both immediately agree to be on the show. They just don't know that Sophie is completely opposed to dating actors. The game is on....... & Sophie has to re-evaluate what she believes about men who act for a living. And the acting friends both want Sophie so the competition to win is going to get intense..... may the best Dom win.

I thoroughly enjoyed Single Submissive from start to finish. It was a very fun read and full of sexual tension and anticipation. It’ll have you twitching and begging for your own release through most of the book. I’ve read many of Marilyn’s books and loved them all. Marilyn knows how to turn on the heat and she writes BDSM right. She has once again delivered a book you can get lost in and has created some amazing alpha doms for you to fall in love with. Good luck choosing a favourite.
The premise of the story follows today’s trends with the love relationship people have with reality shows. Single Submissive takes The Bachelorette a notch higher and ups the steam level quite a few notches. I’m not sure the audiences of today are ready for a BDSM on-air romance but Marilyn Lakewood sure makes it sound intriguing and like lots of fun.
Sophie, the lucky bachelorette, has seven muscled, absolutely hot Doms vying for her attention and she gets to have all her fantasies fulfilled and choose one as her Master when all is said and done. Does any one Dom have all the qualities she desires to be her perfect match or will she require the services of more than one? You’ll have to read to find out. A couple of the fan favourites are very cocky and quite sure of themselves and they don’t exactly play fair. This macho banter and competition makes the story very enjoyable and a great weekend read. The steam level is off-the-charts throughout the book as the contestants get to show their prospective sub just what they bring to the table. Date night takes on a whole new meaning in Single Submissive.
From the start, I had my favourites (and I do mean plural), I had no idea which one I preferred and hoped would win the prize. I would have been a lot like Sophie – always wanting to please everyone and looking to find a little something special and enticing in each dom.
I totally recommend this book if you enjoy books with a touch of BDSM, a lot of sexual anticipation and fantasies come to life. This book contains some amazing menage as well so buckle up and enjoy the sweet ride.

Single Submissive tells us Sophie’s story. She’s a shy submissive who just wants to find her Dom and settle down with him. Not just any Dom though. Oh no. Sophie, wardrobe and costume designer is set on finding the perfect Dom. One’s who’s not an actor. She knows actors, she works with them every day and their shallow ways as they pretend to play a part will only break her heart. She wants someone with a solid foundation, who knows who he is and isn’t obsessed with his own fame. Maybe the reality show is just the place to find that.
Jake and Dax are actors, friends of Armand the sexy Dom of Sophie’s best friend. He talks them into joining in the competition for a new Sub on the hot new reality show being produced. It will be great publicity for the upcoming move they’re starring in together and maybe one of them will be lucky enough to be chosen as the Single Submissive’s new Dom. They’re both down for the challenge, and the competitive nature between the two of them will just make it all the more interesting.

Sophie is on the hunt for a Dom, not just any Dom, the Dom that will be her master, and make her his world. The only problem is, Sophie is super shy, and has so far not had any luck in her search. So she decides to audition for a new reality show, kind of like the Bachelorette but with BDSM. She just has to trust that this will work in her favor.
When Jake and Dex are approached about being Doms on this new show, at first they aren't very sure, and then they see Sophie and that makes the choice a bit easier. Now, its just to see which one of them Sophie will pick, they just don't count on Sophie not liking actors, and trying to avoid them. But when the attraction that Sophie has towards the two Doms makes her start to wonder at the decision she has to make soon, maybe it wont be as easy as she thought it would be. Which Dom will win the submissive in the end?
So, I'm sitting here wondering how to write this review. See, I found this to be an OK story, not great, but not terrible either. I feel like the story skipped around a lot, and there was a lot of storyline that was missing that would have made this a better read. As far as plots go, this was a bit different and I felt I had to read till the end to see just which Dom did Sophie pick, even though I pretty much knew how this story was going to end. As for the BDSM element of this story, I felt it lacked severely. The sexy time scenes were good, just... not what I was expecting, I kept expecting something more from the BDSM scenes. All in all I give this 3. 75 stars.

And no matter how dazzling each man is, they are both actors, and Sophie dislikes actors. She can’t go through what her mother endured with her actor father.
Single Submissive is a delightful, quick read. I had a chuckle over Jack and Dex with their domineering antics to get Sophie for some much needed alone time. Both men are sexual dominants, and both are ready for a woman like Sophie in full erotic surrender. Jake and Dex see Sophie as a perfect submissive, appealing to their senses in every way. They certainly surprise Sophie by showing her their compassion, desires, and trust. Sophie has a dilemma, she can’t decide one over the other. Single Submissive was a great 5 star read.
It was like the Bachelorette but with Dom’s. I loved it. I would love to watch a reality show like this, that would be hot.
Sophie is looking for a dominant and she needs money, so she has applied for a new reality show about a woman looking for a dom. Sophie has one condition for herself, no actors. However, two of the hottest doms on the show are actors and they are sexy as heck, one is British and one is Australian, OMG the accents alone would melt me.
They both know that she is anti actor and are determined to be the winner and get their prize.
Just looking at him was foreplay. Oh, why did he have to be an actor?
Lets just say this story gets very heated and I had some LOL moments when it came to the prospective bachelors. Sophie was a very lucky lady having 7 hot dom’s vying for her attention, what a dream world. This was my first read from Marilyn Lakewood and I definately plan on reading more. I couldn’t put the book down until I was done. 1-click and get started today.

I've never watched The Bachelor or any series similar on TV (unless you include Flavor Flave.... Jesus) but when I read the synopsis for this book, I had to try it. D/s bachelorette style? Of course it sounds interesting!
Just having the BDSM community integrated into one of society's major themed shows was exciting, and when Sophia decided to sign up for the show to find someone to be with, it did in fact soften my reservations about the show's idea itself. Like, I guess it is something to look forward to, seeing a bunch of good candidates and hoping for the right one to be in the group. I also enjoyed seeing her own reservations, though she was a bit too prejudice when it came to actors. It would've been nice to see her look at the others just as suspiciously, especially since some of them were just wrong for her lol but I'm the reader with advanced knowledge so I guess I'll have to settle for yelling at the book while I read!
This was too funny for words. Not so funny that it borderlined silly, but I seriously loved the banter between the Englishman and Aussie, and how they brought all of the things to the story: the hotness, the heartfelt moments, the emotional suspense, the comedic relief.... lol It was just a really entertaining book that left me fully satisfied with light-hearted feels. No crying on this end, but it was a great way to end things for sure. Definite recommend.

What a great story. I have always been skeptical whether I could manage to be a sub, I'm far to stubborn and opinionated to allow anyone to tell me what to do, but I could do this! I like the reality show scenario and the gorgeous, alpha men fighting for me. I'm not into hard-core BDSM (all the whipping and torture like scenes just don't float my boat) but the way they portray a sub/dom relationship is just delicious, sexy and worshipping. Yeah, I could deal with a whole load of that! I love the three main characters, Jake, Dex and Sophie. The men are super sexy and so naughty, and will flaunt the rules if they feel like it. Sophie is so nice, she's really just a simple girl who hasn't got a nasty bone in her body. We could be friends. The dynamics of the three of them make for an interesting read.
Sophie is a submissive who has not found a good Dom to devote herself too yet. Her best friend, Elise, has the perfect solution! OH MY GOD, This book is on fire. I could not put it down at all. I took it every where. Sophie is single and tired of being single. The men she has dated just haven't given her what she wants. Sophie owns her own business but doesn't have enough for a decent savings. this worry's her, she wants to have a little nest in case of an emergency. That's why she signed up for the show Single submissive. its a way to find a Dom/sub relationship. She voiced her concern with her best friend Elise. Elise was surprised because Sophie is so shy. Elise is happy for Sophie and excited for her also. When Elise got back home she went and told her dominant Armand, Armands friends were there when he was asking them to join for the dominant part of it. Jake and Dex werent sure. Until they asked who was Sophie. Elise told them to look out the window. When they both saw her, they were in. They wanted to meet Sophie and be her Dom. Once the taping started it will be a whirlwind for everyone. Especially for Sophie. There are 2 actors participating and she doesn't want to be bothered with them, Only thing is she feels a connection with them. What will Sophie do, Who will she choose. Sophie Baxter is a very shy woman, who hides her desire for a dominant in her life. But desperate times call for desperate measures, so she enters a new reality TV show to find a dominant in five weeks, and on a very public platform. Two stand out, but she refuses to have anything to do with actors. Will the either of the hot superstars, Dex Hampton, or Jake Sinclair be able to make her change her mind in five weeks? That's all I'm giving away, so on to my feelings. Let me say this, I would rather watch this than an episode of The Bachelor or Bachelorette for sure., as it was a fun, and sexy read. Unfortunetely I didn't feel strongly about Sophie as the heroine, as she was a bit too meek for me. I did, however, LOVE the mouthwatering alphas, Dex and Jake. The sexiness they brought to this story is AWESOME, which also made for some seriously steamy sexy scene goodness, geared toward destroying panties everywhere. I really Marilyn Lakewood's talented writing style, and devoured this story in one sitting. A few twists made me drop some f-bombs loudly, and the well placed humor had me laughing. My other issus was the ending was too rushed for me to be honest, as I really needed more. That being said, I'm excited to read more by this sexy author. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the first book of read by Ms. Lakewood and I was pleasantly surprised with her writing style. I loved how she described the scenes in detail.
Sophie just want to find Mr. Right, well a Mr. Right who happens to be a Dom. She's in the lifestyle and goes to clubs sometimes but she hasn't met The One yet. She applies for a spot on the reality TV show the Single Submissive.
Dex Hampton and Jake Sinclair are heartthrob actors that are starring in their last movie. They are friendly rivals and everything turned into a competition between them. The producer and fellow Dom of their next movie invites them over to his house to go over some promotional stuff. And that's when they see her, Sophie was at the house but she didn't see the two sexy Doms. They both get a spot on the reality TV show with Sophie. I really enjoyed reading Single Submissive. This story is about Dex Hampton, Jake Sinclair and Sophie Baxter who has been looking for a Dom. Mr. Right Dom that is. Her BFF is in a submissive relationship and Sophie wants that too.
Sophie decides to enter a reality show where she will meet her Mr. Right. This book is a spin off for anyone who has seen The Bachelorette and they have added a twist. The bachelor’s are all dominant men and are competing for the Submissive.
There are two dominate actors that are competing for domination of Sophie and what Sophie knows is she doesn’t want her Dom to be an actor. Well that is all you are going to get from me. No spoilers. You will have to read this book if you want to know who wins.
This is the first book that I have read of Marilyn Lakewood and I will be checking out more of her books. I give Single Submissive 5 stars.

Now here is a unique storyline that will keep you fully immersed until the very end. This was a quick read and such fun; I was thoroughly entertained. Not to mention done on a topic that very few authors can deliver with such ability and knowledge, originality, heat, care, and class. Yaaaaasssss, Ms. Lakewood knows how to get it done...and done right!

A fun twist to a reality show
I loved watching reality show especially The Bachelor/Bachelorette on TV. I am such a sucker of romance. Who doesn't, right? It is one of my favorite reality show.
It is why I read Single Submissive. This is a fun twist to a reality show. It is even twice steamier. Sophie never trusted her heart with actors and much worse when they are not only successful but hunk dominants too. Finding her right dominant is not easy when her crazy heart cannot decide which one she needs to pick at the finale.
Single Submissive is intriguing, steamy with a twist. You can never judge a person because of what you see or heard. You need to discover it for yourself and it will melt your heart.

I revived and ARC copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. I have not connection to Marilyn Lakewood.
First of all I have to say I hate reality shows, but this giving the background to the reality show and the soft scripting behind it made this book readable, the story made it great. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because I might have been a little dubious of the ending as my favorite did not win. I am not got to say who as that will give too much away.
This story has many turns and changes of opinions, and atleast 2 big blocks that still have me in pain for the guys involved. This is a great concept and story with plenty of "scenes", but this is more about the anticipation and this really works for the story.

What a great read this was!
A single submissive, Sophie, is looking for a Dom. As a last resort she applies to appear on a TV show...as one does! All she knows is that the Dom she chooses will not be an actor.
The reality show setting is inspired and the characters are so well described that I was casting the film in my head as I read.
Two of the six Doms stand out from the rest, but Dex and Jake are actors, so that rules them out...doesn't it?
The plot moves along at a fair pace and I like the thread of humour that runs throughout the story.

The Single Submissive was a wonderful story. Not really what I was expecting. Definitely, a show I would like to watch.
The heroin is young and beautiful, but sees herself as average. Being unsuccessful in finding herself a Dom, she applies for the position of the Bachelorette on a new reality TV show. The Bachelorette BDSM style.
I do not usually care for ménage stories, but this one was different. I loved it. This is one lucky sub. Who could ask for a better outcome to a story?

I could not put this book down! Sophie is a very shy submissive and has not found love. She decides to enter a Bachelorette TV show with a line-up of Amazing Doms! It will keep you on the edge of your seat as Sophie spends time with each of the Doms. Wait until you meet Dex and Jake! Marilyn just nailed this book and with the way it ended I feel she should write a continuation of they're story!! I hope others tell her the same thing!!

I really enjoyed this story. It is a fun twist on the Bachelorette tv show and these men compete to be the perfect Dom for a submissive woman. She is lonely and wants a good relationship and the money from the show helps her too. She doesn't want an actor but two of the contestants determined to win her are actions. I really enjoyed their antics in trying to win her over.

February 23, 2017I wasn't sure how this book was going to present its story, buuutttt, this is a fascinating story! I was addicted from the first page and could not put it down! Yes the read is Hoy,Hot,Hot! But at the same time touches on more feelings and life problems(and solutions) than just on lifestyle choice. Marilyn Lakewood has me hooked, Great book.

I was able to get into this book and read it in one sitting and cant wait to read more from this author.

This is an interesting twist on reality tv with erotic romance with dominant men ,some of which come off as jerky. The submissive bachelorette has to chose her new Dom from the group of men.. Who would you chose? Even thou there is a theme of BDSM it is mild but warms your lady parts. Surprise ending fun getting there

I really enjoy Marilyn Lakewood's writing. I loved the premise of this book - The Bachelorette with a Submissive and 6 Doms competing for her.
Sophie is a submissive and she is lonely and looking to make some money to set up an emergency fund for herself and her mom, so she signs up as a contestant in a reality show. Sophie is a costume designer and has worked with and dated actors and has had one too many bad experiences with them and is adamant that she doesn't want to try dating another. When she finds out that 2 out of the 6 Doms are actors, she immediately writes them off and figures she still has 4 choices.
With their first interaction you can see just how protective and caring Jake and Dex are toward Sophie. Jake (our Aussie) is basically wild and carefree and Dex (our Brit) is more of a proper gentleman. Each has a uniquely different style and technique but they both will do anything for Sophie. Sophie is so sweet and really hates hurting anyone.
The story keeps you flipping pages and staying up late to finish this book. I loved that this book really brings it down to the last minute to let us know Sophie's choice and I really hope that the other Doms will find their submissives in future books. I would definitely recommend reading this book and the author's other books (Stone Wear, Hard Wear, and Holiday Submission).

I liked this okay, it was kind of a crazy idea, but honestly, not that crazy for reality TV. I liked Dex and Jake, but I wish there was less of this competition and more...well, of the two of them Dommin' my girl. That was the only scene I really liked and it wasn't enough. I think it was good she got time with each of them, and it was necessary, but I wanted them to figure things out sooner and have more m-f-m time together.
I liked Glen, I hope he finds some happiness.
I didn't like that Sophie had this whole "I don't like actors, I'll never pick an actor" that kind of blanket statement just made her seem silly and immature. There were some sweet moments and fun stuff. Cute.

WOW! I've reviewed for United Indie Book Blog. This book was on FIRE!! I couldn't put down the book until the end. I'm so in love with Dex, Jake, and Sophie. Jake and Dex is so hot and sexy. Sophie is shy and caring woman. This author is new to me. I will definitely be reading more of her books. This is about a shy sub wanting to find her a Dom. That goes on a reality show. I truly enjoy reading this book. If you love reading about BDSM books then this is the perfect book for you. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait to read your next book.
