Ok, so I want to start out by saying that Tabby Newcomb is such a sweet person and I just adore her. Now about the book. It had some really good parts and some not so good parts. This is about a girl named Lexi who learns she is something very special. She has the purest soul in the world and well, the devil wants her out of this world and he sends Hell's soldiers meant to claim her. I really enjoyed the main story line. The issues that I had with this book was the mood swings of all the characters, the love triangle which felt forced, and the fact that every interaction between Kade and Lexi, Lexi goes on and on and on about how hot Kade is. As far as how the book ended, I was not expecting that! Like I said, I really enjoyed the main storyline and I thought the ending was just wow!

I received a copy of this from the Author for an Honest Review, which is what I am going to try and do here. I had 5 issues with this story that i couldn't look past:
1.) I didn't see any Character development, which in turn made me not connect with the characters the way I had hoped I would.
2.) Some of the music Choices that were playing in the background seemed a bit out of place for it being in today's time period. I don't really see house parties today playing music by Three Doors Down or Breaking Benjamin. I could see maybe Imagine Dragons, Twenty-One Pilots, Ariana Grande or something like them.
3.) I so did not like the forced Love Triangle that tried to happen.
4.) There was a scene that involved a random drunk background character (That to be honest I don't think he was mentioned at all before this scene) that was almost "rapey" and I felt like the whole scene wasn't necessary to the story and should have been removed.
And: 5.) I don't see how Lexi stood there and automatically accepted that He worked with Satan and stuff without busting out with the whole "That's Crazy" or something. I mean I know she freaked out for a bit in her head but that didn't last that long to be truly realistic in my eyes.

I will state their were a few things that I did enjoy:
1.) The Ending. I kinda could see it coming but I so didn't think she would push it that far in the first book.
2.) I loved Calli and Cassie. Anytime that one of these ladies entered the story I wanted to know more about them.
And: 3.) I liked the fact that Lexi liked books and wanted to be a writer. It showed us at least a bit of a glimpse into her character. I just wish it would have been brought up more. it would have helped bring more character development.

I personally won't be continuing on in the series if if more books come out, but I also understand that not every book is for everyone. Maybe this book will become someone's favorite.
