It wasn’t always this way, though. Once I was loyal, I was trusted and I was loved. Held in high esteem amongst my friends and comrades, I was a celebrated soldier.
Back then, I was someone else entirely. I was Bathin. Great Duke of Hell and Captain of Lucifer's strongest army.

Mathim’s story can be read simply as the first book in the Devil’s Deceivers series. It is, however, linked to The Chosen series. Mathim's story is set, at first, before Prey For The Devil and then runs alongside it.
