Go Digital, Stay HumanAs the world becomes more digital, we are faced with a choice. We can let technology advance humanity towards an uncertain future or we can use it to propel us towards a more meaningful and fulfilling one. The Humanification™ movement is about staying human, going digital, and leveraging exponential technology (Artificial intelligence, IOT, blockchian, 3D printing, robotics etc) to elevate our lives in ways that were previously unimaginable. In this book you will learn how exponential technologies will change every aspect of your life and why they're not just another fad waiting for its time to pass. You'll discover how you can leverage these technologies for good! How Technology will Advance Humanity Towards a More Meaningful Future Imagine being able to spot the next big trend, or being able to predict the next big wave of change. Imagine having a code that gives you the power to invent, predict or harness the next big technology. Humanification is going to help you unlock the DNA of innovation itself, so you can apply it to your life, your business and your community. The story starts with a little girl, a terminal diagnosis and a ticking clock. Join the author as he searches for a cure. Along the way you will discover the seven powerful forces of innovation that are going to change everything in your world within your lifetime. Through a series of stories, research and personal insights, the author reveals how he came to see the world from a totally new perspective. This new vantage point allowed him to uncover a unique wave pattern. Incredibly that wave pattern turned out to be a blueprint for just about every disruptive technology breakthrough. Christian Kromme also made another remarkable breakthrough. He discovered that our manmade technology follows exactly the same evolutionary steps as life itself. By reading this book you will learn to see how the world works at a biological level, a technological level, and a humanity level. You will come to understand how each level is linked, and that knowledge will reveal remarkable new insights into the future. This is a truly remarkable book that no entrepreneur, leader or policy maker can afford to miss. This book shows how technology unites humanity into one big organism. This new insight will change the way you look at technology and its effect on us all us all forever.
If the book had been compressed to about 40 pages, it would have deserved more credit. There are certainly interesting bits and pieces, but in the current version the author repeats himself to much and meanders to his goal telling several times that he is going to reveal wonderful insights into reality and the future of humanity. He doesn't really get there. So for me the book was to long winded and full of "consultant" speak and overblown techno-optimism.
There are great ideas in this book. It kind of built on top of how I already see the world and gave me some new angles to consider.
However, it could be half the length by digging the essence out of tons of repetition. Also it could do with an editor to remove the big number of typos. Also, I find future predictions laughable in general. And while they sound reasonable to a point, everything beyond that point just seems ridiculous. Especially with 2030 in mind. I believe in the exponential growth of technology. It's very clear to me. But I think it's silly to believe we'll be at the utopia the author describes within the next 10 years. These factors got really annoying at about half of the book. I was planning to give it only two stars.
It was the last 10% of the book where it gained another star and the author. Gained a lot of respect from me. He's talking how we organise our projects and companies in a fundamentally inefficiant way. And he discribes something that goes against everything society told us so far. I was impressed, since I'm currently in the process of writing a book about this very topic myself.
It was great to read a very similar approach with a little different turn on it.
The essence and the foundational message of this book is amazing. I just wish it wasn't cluttered with so many unnecessary predictions and repetition. As the author says it himself: Simplicity is one of the main design aspect of mother nature. This book talks about it, but does not walk the talk.
Still a recommendation if you don't get too bored half way through.
This book takes the reader from the dawn of time to 20 years in the future. Not just a typical futurist, the author identifies a pattern of increasing humanistic development of technology. Extrapolating the history, the reader is given a glimpse of a potential future whee technology and AI serve as an extension of our human selves. A good read.
All and all a somehow desperate push by the author for attention. Despite the fact that there are a few interesting stories, one can justify that this book is written to act as a credibility tool for the consultancy business the author claims to have. The book is full of repetitions, severely underestimates the reader and is based on concepts as old as the universe.
Very interesting views on the correlation between nature, economic and human processes. If these ideas turn out to be correct than we are facing some turbulent times and a rouring decade!
Interesting book. I like the way author has described the process of digitalization by using one of the most used psychological models and paradigm. The future part was a little bit longer for me. I am not used reading predictions on how things may happen. Prefer to see them with my own eyes
