The fate of the entire universe depends on me working alongside Vukan, a dominant alien general.
The only problem? I hate him and everything he stands for.
I don’t take orders from any man — and certainly not some alien general. I don’t care that he’s a seven-foot-tall, deadly warrior with a body to die for.
When I tell him as much in front of his whole squad of warriors, he vows to make me pay for my insolence. “Obedience training,” he calls it.
He can spank as much as he likes, but I’m not going to change my mind. No matter how good it feels when he disciplines me…
TITLE OF BOOK: VUKAN AUTHOR OF BOOK: LUNA HUNTER DATE READ: MARCH 15, 2017
CAN GENERAL VUKAN TAME OLIVIA, OR WILL SHE TAME HIM?
I have been reading Luna Hunter’s Zoran Warriors ever since she starting writing them. I love her multi-colored 7-foot-tall aliens. If you have not read any of her Zoran warrior books you need to start with the beginning “Alien General’s Baby” it is where it all begins. Her Galactic Mates series is a spinoff of the Zoran Warriors and several of those characters are mentioned in the Galactic Mates series. But they can all be read as standalone, but me I personally like to start at the beginning. You are going to love “Vukan” because this story answers some of the questions that have been building up since the series began. But you are still going to be left wondering what the final build up will be until the last book comes out which is next. You do not want to miss out on the story of a Zoran General who takes his woman first and then asks her questions. This is a book that will make your mouth water and your panties get hot.
Olivia Booth is on the planet Audar, the Falurian home world studying the mating ritual of the dadyrs which are very shy animals. She has spent months building up the trust of a pair that she has named Romeo and Juliet and all her hard work is about to pay off when Romeo and Juliet are scared away by space ship of The Human Federation that lands on the planet. She lays into Captain Johnathan Price for destroying all her hard work and research. She is then told that he is to take her to the Vonnegut station to meet with Captain Simopoulos. Once there she is told the AI Nora has chosen her as the most qualified scientist to hand a special mission that will take her to the unknown planet in the sector Omega VI where Cindy Knox and Dusan encountered the creatures Cindy name the Ypes. She is to find out why they would give a message that said “Help “to Cindy.
General Vukan is contacted by King Vinz for a specific job, but the King has a few choice words for Vukan for going against his orders in attacking the Ygg on a planet that he was only supposed to monitor. After chewing him out King Vinz tells him why he has contacted him. The king had received a report from former Zoran Forces officer Zivan that he and a human police officer rescued a human prisoner from a Tyk’ix transport vessel and the Forrester girl had been taken from the Observer, possibly with the help of the Order, which is supposed to be the Intergalactic Alliance’s secret police force. The King tells him to find out where the transporter was headed and to see if he can find proof of Zivan’s claims on board the space ship that left behind.
One human, one Zoran General two different missions. Will the Zoran and the humans be able to complete both missions and live to tell their findings? Will Vukan and Olivia survive their mission? Will Vukan give Olivia plenty of Obedience training? Or will they continue to live a life of loneliness?
No Spoilers. Advanced Reader Copy read voluntarily and loved.
I am so glad I found these books when the series was already completed. It says that each book can be a standalone but it would be a great disservice to the series story arc to do so.
Two missions become one. Olivia Booth finally go permission to study the dadyr on Audur it's the Falurian home world but things don't go has she had planned because a federation ship comes and gets her for a meeting on the Vonnegut station. They need her on a mission to contact the Ypes. Aliens monkey like beings who have asked for help. Vukan is a Zoran general who is sent to investigate why a group of Tyk'ix's took a human girl and where we're they taking her. (She was saved in the last book Zivan if you want to read about that ) Both teams end up at the same planet and the evil plans have come to light But will anyone survive that is the question! I can't wait for the next book! The characters are great, the storyline wild I think SYFY fans should love this one . A little warning the interrogation scene pushes the envelope for me. But it didn't stop me from reading, lol. Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly enjoyed it,
Reviewing this one is difficult, mostly because I enjoyed it but there are parts of it that while not so much off putting as just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Olivia is sent to an unknown planet to find an unknown race named the Yipis who had sent a strange message for help. Her trip is ruined when her ship is taken over by a strange race and all the humans are threatened with extinction. Only Olivia has the courage to face the leader, Vukan. Together they find the Yipis who lead them to....well, you will want to read the book to find out. The storyline is well developed, with some interesting twists. The characters are also well written, with depth to support their actions. Probably the only part of the story that I found as a flaw in the story was the interrogation of Olivia at the beginning of the story. I felt that the author's "method" of the interrogation was a means to put in a sexual encounter that was superfluous to o the storyline.
Olivia is better with animals than she is with human beings after all she is a Alien Animal Science major. She loves her job and enjoys being in remote areas studying the different species. Now all the work she has been doing for months on the Faluarian home world has just had an abrupt ending with the appearance of the Human Federation shuttle with military personnel lead by Captain Jonathon Price to take her to another planet on a mission to which she has been drafted. She is not a happy camper. General Vukan is also sent to the same planet by King Vinz as they suspect the Tyk'ix of trying to upset the Alliance. Olivia thinks she will only have to try to communicate with an animal species called the Ypes on this planet nobody told her she would also have to deal with a Zoran General as well. Thank you to Luna Hunter for the amazing review copy. Loved it. Looking forward to the last book in this series.
Title: Vukan Series: Galactic Mates Book Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Luna Hunter Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #SciFi #Aliens #4Stars☆☆☆☆ •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Wow this one was really spectacular I sware you need to read it. This series is absolutely captivating I couldn't put it down. Professor Olivia Booth is a world renowned scientist, (yeah, she heard that once) of Alien Animal Science. She is summoned by the Federation, she needed to come as requested, Olivia being her own women refused, then she was carried to the spaceship heading for Vonnegut Station. She was asked to check out the Ypes on the Planet of Moss. There was no refusing, arrivingrig next to the planet they were attacked and invaded. Yes, she bit off more than she could chew, but sometimes chewing is wonderfully mindblowing! Zoran General Vukan is a Big Blue Alien, he carries a trident he calls Inis. Vukan was asked by King Vinz to check out some disturbing news. King Vinz needed to know if it was true so he sent Vukan with his warship the ZMC Bran on a mission to Omega VI looking for a Tyk'ix freighter Wrath of Moss. While checking out the freighter another spaceship approaches "HUMANS" A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
This whole series has really fascinating stories that keep me reading. Unfortunately, there are many instances of misspelling, poor sentence structure and grammar issues. However, I’m perplexed because despite the mistakes, a lot of the book is beautifully written with lots of high level vocabulary. It’s as if someone started to edit, but never finished. The steamy scenes lack subtlety and are redundant, but I still enjoyed the explicit scenes while simultaneously rolling my eyes. All things considered, this series is worth reading if you are willing to overlook a few issues.
Vukan is sent to investigate the ship from the previous story, and its destination, and Olivia is on a mission from the Humans to help the Ypes we encountered in Cindy and Dusan's story. When these two missions cross paths, the General who is used to being obeyed discovers interrogating a human who prefers to talk back yields more questions than answers.
I enjoyed the interactions between these two characters, in part because they explored the contradictions of individuals. Sometimes we want to be fiercely independent, and sometimes we're grateful to be part of a "we" or "us".
With Vukan and Olivia’s story we finally see some answers to questions from prior stories. They are definitely the epitome of a hate turned love relationship but it’s so enticing I couldn’t put it down. Plenty of action and a few steamy scenes and yes we have answers to some of the nagging questions. It doesn’t resolve everything but we get a better understanding with a HEA ending.
This was a DNF. I absolutely abhorred the 'scene' at the start of chapter 11. Just nasty. It seems that every now and then the author wants to stray into the BSDM territory... it doesn't work, on any level. I am frustrated cos I feel like I need to read these in order to get to the next series... think I will leave this and skim the next...
I have to say the meeting of these two, Zukan and Olivia, is very hot. They end up going through a lot and leaving men on the planet to surely die is awful, but you know they have to. It's a lot and you feel the pressure building. Great story line and great characters.
I love this series! Olivia and Vukan's story is no different! They have to work together, but she can't stand the dominant warrior. Will they work out their issues, can she submit to him? You really need to read this story, and the rest of the stories...you won't be disappointed!
This book was as exciting as all the other books in the series? It has action, fear, steamy love scenes with awesome characters and adventure that has you hanging on the edge of your seat? A must buy and highly entertaining book.
I won't lie, this book made me cry at the end. However, it is really, really good. Human is pretty badass, but so is Olivia. She isn't going to take orders from a man just because she's a woman. Loved her!!! These books need to be read in order.
This was a wonderful book am so glad I read in order from Zoran Warriors to this series Galactic Mates now am getting ready to read the final book to these wonderful characters stay tune for my review on Galactic Mates book 8😊
Love, love this series. This book puts all prejudice aside. The general and scientist must join together to find out what is happening. Adventure and romance and love. And exciting story enjoy. Can't wait for the next book
Too short and Vukan sexually accosts Olivia before consent and spanks her repeatedly to try and gain her compliance. Only up to a point but Olivia liked the abuse.
Professor Olivia Booth ends up “meeting” Vukan, a very dominant alien general, during a strange mission. As with the other books in this series, there is a madcap race to save civilization! It is, at times, funny, very sexy, action-packed, AND includes strange and/or adorable aliens. I cannot even begin to describe the story but I really loved Olivia’s character. She is strong, knows what she wants and likes, and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself…or adorable, hunted aliens. Vukan, for his part, is a typical alien general with tons of attitude, but he will touch your heart when he learns to put himself out there for not only his crew but humans and other aliens. And of course, when he realizes Olivia is his mate. Loved reading about these two and you will as well.
Two different ships. Two different goals. Upon arrival they find they're very survival depends on them working together and finding the truth that lies on the planet. Can they actually work together to get off the planet or will their differences get in the way? One woman puts herself in the middle to make it work. Humorous, action, and bedeviling as you find answers in the series but left handing as to the outcome. Superb read, can't wait to find out what happens next. I voluntarily received a complimentary copy for an honest review.
I don't give spoilers so all I can say is I love the creative mind of Luna Hunter! I would definitely suggest you start this series at the beginning because you will understand the intricacies of what is going on. This book was exciting, well-written, engrossing, and hot hot hot. I can't wait for the next and final installment to this story! If I could give this note than five stars, I would! Loved it!!
An awesome series of books that you can't put down. If you're looking for some kick butt aliens and some strong women who are their mates then you're in the right place. These couples kick butt and they love each other like no one's business.
