An emotional story with our main characters being stepsiblings struggling to live their love under the shadow of their parents.
Brooke and Zane are very lovable and sweet characters, I really enjoyed reading their love story and everything that came with that such as steamy scenes, interesting dialogues and heartbreaking moments, it is a short novel with a fast pace.
This is a love journey about two people standing up to the very own family who by the way I disliked a lot in order to live their love!! Are you ready for this intense ride??
Well, that was very refreshing, I certainly recommended it and I'm looking forward to reading the next story the author will create!!

Very good book, I enjoyed reading it. The love between the characters was beautiful (unlike their family). I would recommend this book it's not that long but well written.

This was a very basic, quick paced story, with very few surprises - and a couple of hot as hell sex scenes.
It wasn't very long, so for me the drama happened before I'd had a chance to really care for either of the main characters, which meant the drama didn't have any real impact on me. I did like the fact that the MC's had been best friends before their parents married, but when I found out their ages and the fact the H was five years older, I questioned how close they could have really been growing up.
At the end of the day this was just another step-brother romance, which I will forget about by tomorrow. Maybe if it were longer it would have been better? Or maybe I'm just over step-brother stories.

This is a quick sexy and hot book that I devoured in one sitting. What can I say to express how great this is? Well, it has an exciting love story between stepbrothers Zane and Brook- they were childhood friends long before their parents ended up getting married –Being in close contact after their parents got married, they soon fell in love and in deep lust. The story focuses on when they are hooking up and showing the angst in the relationship—there is something going on which is causing Brook and Zane some friction. Namely their nasty, evil parents—And how to handle them—there are some HUGE twists and turns that take place in this book. You don’t want to miss how evil Zane’s dad is or how utterly cold Brook’s mom is…that is all part of what causes some of the roller coaster rides in our young lovers’ love story and it took me for a great ride—Does this young couple make it and does their love have an HEA? Or do the evil parents cause the great divide? You have to read another J.L. Beck Classic…

I get ARC for my onest review. This is An exciting love story between stepbrothers Zane and Brook who were good friends in the past. Because of their parents wedding, God forbid, their public stigma will not hurt, they must hide the love that exists between them. Brooke love Zane but does not want to hurt him and after she receives a threat from his father decides to leave him, but Zane decides to fight for their love.
What I liked most about, that the story gave me the true feelings of Zane. I finally felt like a man who loves and will not give up his great love.

Friends to stepbrother/stepsister to lovers! That's a mouth full but is was so delicious!! You have a OTT stepbrother that is head over heels in love with his stepsister and two parents that are the devils re-incarnated!! Sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with but J.L. Beck took it to a whole new level and made the chemistry between these two explosive!

I received an Advance Reader Copy for Hung by JL Beck and voluntarily reviewed this book. Step-siblings Zane and Brooke have been involved in a taboo relationship, and Brooke just cannot convince Zane to stop, even though she loves him back. They have two very controlling step-parents that they are trying to keep this relationship a secret from, but a circumstance then occurs which could make it very difficult for their love to remain secret from anyone, including Zane. Zane already works for his father's company, and his father has major plans for his son. What will happen now, when this new development comes to light to their whole family? What will happen to Zane and Brooke? This book was a nice, quick read.

A very sweet, angst filled story about stepsiblings Brooke and Zane. They were friends before their parents got married but then things started to change. Having to keep their feelings a secret is the only way they can be together but secrets rarely stay hidden. Sexy, emotional and drama filled to the very end.

I honestly skimmed a majority of the book. It was so freaking annoying that I just couldn’t read the whole thing but I cared enough to want to know what happened that’s the only reason I didn’t give it just 1 star. I shouldn’t have finished it because honestly I hoped the ending would be them giving their parents the big F-U and cutting all ties and actually going out on their own and making their own way. Instead they cut a deal with their parents to leave them alone but mommy and daddy still pay for her school and he still works for his fathers company. Most of the book was her pulling away, lying about why they couldn’t be together and at one point telling him the baby wasn’t his and her major reason for all of this...because they would stop paying for her college and her house and whatever else. GET AN F-ing JOB LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD AND PAY FOR YOUR OWN SHIT AND LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE! I can’t even....

This review of Hung by J.L. Beck is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog. It is a very quick read. That is what I like about this author. She writes quick heat as opposed to slow burn. It is also on the taboo side of things. When step siblings hook up it can only go one of two ways. Lets just say that their parents don't approve. What would you do if you fell in love with your step-brother? Check out Hung and find out what Brooke and Zane do when their relationship is ripped wide open by their meddling parents. If you are looking for a quick hot read, look no further. This can be read entirely in one sitting. Enjoy!

Secret romance... yes
Secret baby... no.
It's not a secret baby if you tell the father to be within hours of finding out.
The story was ok, but it moved too quickly for my taste. When the story begins, the characters are already in a relationship and things move pretty quickly from there. Turn the page all of a sudden it's been a week, turn at the next chapter it's been 3 weeks, then suddenly 6 months. We really don't get a chance to get to know or even give a crap about the characters. Another issue I had was with the hero. DOn't get me wrong, I loved that he was so open about his feelings, but he just has to rush out but then waits 6 months before doing anything about it? Seriously? What was the point in that?

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I loved the story of Zane and Brooke. Two people who were best friends long before their parents met and married. Thereby making them step siblings. They end up falling in love soon aver. The story begins after they are already involved physically, yet in no way takes away from what has already happened. What the story is about is how the two deal with whether to let their parents know and what they feel it will do to them. I loved how Zane is so sure of their love and that they can get through anything. Even if their parents do not approve and try to keep them apart. Brooke is sure of her love but doesn't want to be cut off from having her education paid for by their parents. I enjoyed how Ms Beck explains how they deal with the struggle and finally shows that they are able to get their HEA!

This is a quick sexy read that I finish in one sitting. It's definitely fast pace and the chemistry between Zane and Brooke was off the charts hot. You can feel the love Zane has for Brooke, Zane is a over the top sweet man that falls in loves with his step sister, and wants nothing more to be with Brooke. Brooke is struggling with the whole relationship with her step brother Zane, she doesn't want their parent to find out. This book has the sexy sweet male and sweet loving girl, the drama and the surprise. Overall it was a great book, J.L. Beck definitely did it again. But the only thing I felt the title of the book had nothing to do with the story, unless I missed something.. I can't wait to read more.

My first time reading J.L. Beck was okay, I'm not a big fan of step-brother romances but this one was okay. Brooke & Zane were best friends & loved each other before their parents married so it wasn't too bad. The parents reaction was odd to me because they acted like they were blood related when that was far from the truth. They also worried more about themselves & their community status than the lives of their children & I also didn't like the fact that the step-father had cameras set up in the house & watched the relationship of Brooke & Zane. I did like how and took back his life from his father & how Brooke eventually stood up for herself against her mother.

This was a quick hot read that took a little over an hour to finish. Brooke and Zane have scorching hot chemistry and are in love. One little problem though, they are step-siblings whose parents are stuck up snobs that care more about reputation than their own children. Brooke's mom and Zane's dad are so horrible that you just want to slap them across the face. Will their parents get their way and break them up or will their love prevail? What about when that little white stick says pregnant? It's quite a steamy sexy mess they've gotten themselves into.

I got a free copy for an honest review.
First Story:
It was a fast race through the relationship from Brook and Zane. I do not remember a lot of it more.. only that it was a smooth read and that they had nasty parents. That was it.
Second Story:
It is a well balanced dosis of spanking and rougher sex scenes, but i couldnt find any real development of the characters and the plot.
In reneral a short read with an clifhanger for the second part but nothing more.
I do not think that i will read the other part.

Zane and Brooke are step-siblings but have fallen for each other. Each knows that their parents would freak out about their relationship but they are powerless to stop it. I am fan of short stories and believe when Insay this one is a good one.
The story is really good. I love forbidden romance and this one I found it well written.
Zane is not the typical inmaute guy, he knows what he wants and goes after that. Brooke cares a lot about Zane and she doesn't care risking her happiness for Zane.
Each of them have their own battles with their parents to fight for their love and hapiness.
I loved the story, the chemestry and every in the book, except the epilogue, I felt it rush it and out of place.

This book was hot with a plot! Loved the forbiddeness of Zane and Brooke's relationship and the love between the two. Wanted to strangle both of their parents, but was so happy when in the end Zane stood up for their relationship and they were able to get their happy ever after! Zane and Brooke are step siblings in love. Their parents are extremely horrible, selfish people who care more about their own reputations and try and split them up.
Zane’s awful father threatens Brooke and she leaves but later discovers she is pregnant. This is the catalyst she needs that motivates her to stand up to her overbearing, self-absorbed mother.
Zane confronts his father and issues an ultimatum that could cost his father dearly.
Ultimately, I enjoyed this book. It was quite fast paced with great characters.

This was a different approach for J.L. Beck, but absolutely lovely and wonderfully written. Zane and Brooke were made for each other, but nobody else could see it. I cried so much from this book, the feelings and emotions that Brooke and Zane were having were so intense. I could feel the pain from Brooke. I absolutely love this book. The passion between them just lite up the pages. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Hung is a super short, straight to the point, drama filled story with some hot sexy times and some major parental issues. Although it is short; it took me about an hour to read it, it felt paced just right and I enjoyed it. Would I have liked it fleshed out a bit more to make it longer? Sure, but to be honest it didn’t really need it. A nice little break time read for me, I give Hung 4 stars.

Brooke and Zane were together way before there parents got together. Brooke is scared to tell her mom because she doesn't want to lose everything. But when do fight for the man you love? Or do you walk away? Zane loves Brooke but she is pushing him away why? Wow drama and hotness in this book that will keep you glued to turning the pages. In the beginning I was frustrated by the dialog which lost me, but I hung (pun) in there. I also laughed and rolled my eyes a lot when it was not hard to picture men actually talking just like it was written. It was so spot on! And Sarah Jo's character was easy to relate to. By the end of the story, even with the beginning we had, I must confess I was smitten!

The title doesn't really relate to the story...
Hmmmm.... I usually love JL Beck's co-authored books, but this one had a parch of frustrating typos, and I failed to see how yhe title referenced the story.
Still, the fact that Brooke and Zane were besties for years prior to their parents getting married, when Brooke was a senior and Zane was 5 years older, should mean that nobody thought anything about their relationship.
