Follow the five siblings on their quest for love in the Rivers Edge boxed set. Trust Me Fight Me Expect Me Promise A Novella Protect Me Boss Me Trust A Christmas Novella Trust A Brooklyn Short Story *Each story can be read as a standalone. For mature audiences only due to graphic sexual content and language.
Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.
Trust Me- A truly memorable start to the River Edge box set. Avery and Maddox are off the charts in everything, secretly dating your older brothers best friend. Getting tattled on by her three year old daughter leads into an explosive outing for their relationship. I smiled many, many times while reading their adventure, so worth the risk of losing your best friend.
Fight Me- The bigger they are the harder they fall, feisty Erin brings police officer Jake to his knees. Is that a demand? Small town librarian makes his head turn, reaching into his flirtatious bag of tricks, Jake pulls Erin out of her shell. Watching Jake and Erin’s chemistry was so entertaining; she enjoyed making him work for all he got.
Expect Me- This novel was more so about a good ol’ small town boy needing reminded where his priorities lie in life. Travis and Josselyns’ story reminds us all, that people and relationships can be taken for granted, time and energy are needed to keep the fire alive. Travis pushed himself to extremes to prove his love for Josselyn and their child.
Promise Me- Holly and Jase, they put Fourth of July fireworks displays to shame. The attraction between the two is instantaneous, forever changed. Lead singer Jase is tired and looking for a place to rest his weary body, nurse Holly is ready to be done with bad boys. Love had different plans, with long months on the road and a face that is recognizable in the smallest of towns makes the relationship rocky, powering through brought the them to the happiest of endings.
Protect Me- Nate and Lia, hands down my favorite novel in this box set, the couple survived against some of realities cruelest people. Fighting for herself and their relationship Lia risks her life to ensure nothing happens to Nate. To has tension was high throughout this novel would be a dramatic understatement. All of the Stevens clan makes an appearance in this novel but it really felt focused in on Nate and Lia’s love story. I could reread this story every day, this happy ending was the most satisfying of all.
Boss Me- Dating his boss was risky, let alone her finding out you called her Cruella behind her back, even riskier. The baby of the Stevens boys is throwing away all he has worked for to try and claim Carmen’s heart. Carmen’s son is still healing from a divorce and switching schools, causing them to tread lighter than ever. Very enjoyable to watch the last boys succumb to love.
Trust Us- So incredibly sweet to see Avery get the last laugh with Maddox at her side. Knowing the romantic getaway will heat the sheets up, running into Drake and hearing what happened is priceless! I laughed out loud while reading this novella, easy to say karma took care of Drake.
Trust You- Brooklyn is all grown up, it doesn’t seem possible, she should always be running around playing her uncles against each other. I easily slipped back into memories of growing up and attending major social functions, having the first chance to buy a gown and get all dolled-up. The Steven’s boys are still as loud and rambunctious in both ideas and intimidation.
The Rivers Edge box set is so full of hot, steamy, refined playboys brought to their knees by beautiful everyday down to earth women. They have a strong love for family, fun and play. Each novel could be read as a stand along, however it makes the story so much sweeter to be read together. All of these couples have relatable qualities to strengthen the love for this family; overall I felt hope and happiness carried throughout the box set. It is definitely worth the price and so worth the time to read! A recommended read for sure!
I absolutely adore Lacey Black, and her Rivers Edge series is unquestionably one of my all time, top favorite small town romances series. Lacey's writing is always phenomenal, and I've truly loved everything she's ever written, but this genre, these small town, big family based romances, are totally her jam. This is what Lacey Black does best. She's at the top of her game when she's creating these big families in these wonderful small towns, where characters you can't help but care about chase their romantic and sexy happily ever afters.
This box set includes all five full length novels, two novellas and an all-new, never before released short story exclusive to this set. The series is based on the five Stevens siblings as each one finds love in their small town. A big brother's best friend story, a second chance romance, a surprise baby, a romantic suspense, a rock star novella and a workplace romance make up the fantastic love stories in this series. All of these stories are packed with emotion and steam as the Stevens siblings each finds love in their small town. I love this family so much, and Lacey Black has created something truly special in the fictional town of Rivers Edge.
Rivers Edge presented me with a unique opportunity. To discovery a new author by diving right in to a series of prolific stories that thrive on the example of what family means. Through the eyes of Avery, Nate, Travis, Jake and Will, I fell in love, had my heart broken and learned some tough life lessons. All while having the undying devotion of family and finding the road that leads to that elusive pot of gold. Happiness. The Stevens, give their all to love, life and each other. Who could ask for anything more. My heart may never be the same and for that, author Lacey Black and her boisterous and lovable characters are to blame.
I had to get the box set because that was where Bean’s story was. And I’m so glad I did. I hope you do decide to do the next generation because Jake and the rest as grandparents will rock. Lol
I so fell in love with this series!! If i could give more than 5 stars, I would!! I think my favorite couple was Avery and Maddox!! Maddox is what a man should look like coming into a relationship that has a child involved. When he asked Avery to marry him and included Bean it melted my heart!! Started the sister series and cant wait for the others to follow!!
This series is so good there's not enough stars for it. This family has stolen my heart and embedded my soul. Each book just keeps you wanting more of the Steven's family. Their love knows no bounds and their loyalty is deep. I think I could read about them forever and never get bored.
Love this boxset. This boxset gives the reader all of the romance stories in the series. It also gives a short story from Elizabeth’s POV and a short story about Brooklyn. Totally worth the read.

These books are the stories of 5 siblings, their partners, their loves and their lives. I enjoyed every one, every single one.
Favorite Quote: " Life isn´t always what you expect. " Thank you Lacey Black, 4,5 Stars.
Great box set of all the Steven's boys! I could not put this box set down, each book kept me going, each new Steven brother's story was original, and full of hot sex and love! This box set is well worth it, you get to read all the books in the set as well as some bonus stories in the end! 5+ stars for Lacey I absolutely loved this series!!
Several years ago, I stumbled upon the debut title Trust Me, by Lacey Black. Thus began my love for the community of Rivers Edge and the Stevens Family. The Rivers Edge series features each of the Stevens siblings finding their other half. Each of these books features lovable and endearing characters. I was completely drawn in by the strong familial bond the Stevens siblings share, the loving and at times over protective nature of the males of the family and the strength and sweetness of the women they each end up with. Each book is incredibly well written, entertaining and very engaging. I loved each and every story in this book and love how much they are interconnected and their stories continue with each additional title.
Trust Me:
Trust Me is Avery Stevens story, she is the youngest Stevens sibling, and a single mother to four year old Brooklyn, otherwise known as Bean. Maddox Jackson is Avery's older brother's best friend and colleage. Their romance is a friends to lovers romance, and is quite forbidden, it's also an incredibly sweet story. Maddox is a swoon worthy hero he's incredibly sweet, sexy, loving and caring, whilst Avery is sweet, strong and at times funny. Their story has its share of twists and turns, before this pair can find a happy ever after. Their chemistry is strong, the heat between this pair both steamy and sweet, and their story is well paced and told from a dual point of view.
Fight Me:
Fight Me is Jake and Erin's story. This pair have a history, as children Jake made Erin's life hell, as an adult he's determined to prove he is a changed man. Jake is nothing if not persistent, when it comes to going after what he wants.
I loved that this title is told from a dual point of view, and we gain an insight into both the hero and heroine's inner most thoughts. I really loved the connection, chemistry and heat between this pair, but above all the friendship and bond this pair formed.
A sweet and sexy story line with twists and turns, and humor that kept me thoroughly enthralled.
Expect Me:
Expect Me is Travis and Josselyn's story. A one night stand changes the rest of their lives. Although incredibly attracted to each other, Travis and Joss are basically strangers who begin to build a life together. Travis is the youngest of the Stevens brothers, loving, kind, loyal and above all hardworking and supportive. Joss is kind, sweet and hardworking. Their story is quite emotional and has a few ups and downs, I particularly loved that they worked for their relationship.
Promise Me:
Promise Me, is a River's Edge novella featuring Holly Jenkins and Jase Bentley.
Holly is Avery's best friend and an honorary member of the Steven's family. She is sweet, sassy, endearing and an engaging character.
Jace is a sweet, tattooed rock star with a heart of gold.
I loved the connection and chemistry this pair shared.
A sweet, sexy and heartfelt read.
Protect Me:
Protect Me features Nate and Lia. Nate just adores women. He's a firefighter, a player and confirmed bachelor. The second eldest Stephens brother, was hurt in his past and can't fathom a future with one woman. He's incredibly protective, caring, sweet, sexy and funny and very strong willed.
Lia is desperate to belong after running from her past, but knows she can't put down roots. She's strong, sweet and caring.
Their story is one of instant attraction, and filled with emotion, drama, suspense and heat, with moments of both laughter and tears.
Boss Me:
I eagerly anticipated reading Will's story having fallen in love with his sibling's stories and reading of them finding their happy ever after.
Will is a paramedic, he's dedicated and hardworking and loves his job. He is also sweet, loving, caring and has a heart of gold. He's a complex character with a friendly demure facade, that hides a man who likes control in the bedroom.
Carmen is Will's boss, she's an endearing character, who's been hurt in the past and being a single parent has more than herself to consider when it comes to forming a relationship.
Their romance is forbidden, but they have this amazing chemistry and connection. Overall a sweet, sexy and emotion filled read that I didn't want to put down.
I loved the cameos of the Steven's siblings throughout this book. It's quite sad to see the end of this series, after growing to love the members of this family.
Trust Us: A Christmas Novella
A quick, sweet, and steamy Christmas novella featuring Avery and Maddox, four years on from their original story. A fun and engaging read with a wonderful glimpse into this delightful pair's future.
Trust Me: A Brooklyn Short Story
A short glimpse into the future as Brooklyn nears her High School graduation. More an extended epilogue it was wonderful to see the members of the Stevens family several years in the future. Hopefully we will see more of this family in the stories of the next generation in the future.
I absolutely adore this series and am so glad that it's available in a box set. The small town and large family are a winning combination in my opinion, and no one does it like Lacey Black. Dive into Rivers Edge and come meet the Stevens family. Box set includes five full length novels, two novellas, and a bonus short story - a fantastic bargain for days of reading enjoyment!
I soooooo loved this series, which I read as individual books! Lacey is THE BEST at writing small-town love stories, with twists and hilarity along the way.
Jake, Nate, Will, Travis, and Avery Stevens are the funniest, sexiest, HOTTEST family to grace the pages of a book and you simply won't be able to get enough of them!
Trust Me (Book 1) Avery is single mom who is blessed with a wonderful family including 4 very over-protective older brothers. Avery has also harbored a long time crush on her oldest brother's best friend Maddox. She's been burned by her two significant relationships and suffers from trust issues. Maddox is the love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy. He has been satisfied by the occasional hook-ups with girls who know the score. He doesn't seem himself as the kind to ever settle down. And he would never go against his best-friend to consider anything with his little sister. That is until he sees someone looking else looking her way. What's the harm in spending time with her as long as her brothers, especially his best friend Jake, don't find out? When the heat is on, who will he choose? Fight Me (Book 2) Jake is one of the hottest commodities in town, well at least in his eyes. All of the single women fawn over him and even some married ones. He's found himself in a strange place when the new librarian rebuffs his advances and his charm. Erin remembers a time when Jake Stevens wasn't so nice to her. She's finding it more and more difficult to remember that every time he turns his charms on. Expect Me (Book 3) Travis can't remember a time when he longed for a woman the way he does for the one who was gone when he awoke. She's invaded his dreams and won't leave. Joss knew she was in trouble as soon as she saw him but couldn't resist. Now that their forever linked, trusting him and getting to know him and his loud family is her newest task. Protect Me (Book 4) Nate doesn't do relationships. His jobs are so demanding and he refuses to be the source of another's misery. Lia is running from her past never staying long enough to form lasting relationships. All of that changes when she's swept into the Steven's clan. Boss Me (Book 5) Will loves his job until he meets his new boss. He seems unaffected by her until he's forced to have her in the ambulance with him. Carmen doesn't do workplace relationships after being burned in the past. She's moved to Rivers Edge to get a fresh start but she can't seem to overcome her attraction to the Stevens' middle brother. The boxed set also includes Promise Me-a novella about Avery's best friend, Trust Us-a Christmas Novella and Trust Me-a Brooklyn "Bean" short story. I loved this entire series and this author. I was sad to see the series end as I loved them all so much. I have read everything published by this author and recommend her highly. Her writing is concise and very descriptive and pulled me into the fictitious world of Rivers Edge and the Stevens family.
