An ARC was given to me and I agreed to voluntarily review it. My opinions are my own. She's the eldest and she has make a success of their family hot sauce business. He is the eldest and on a mission of revenge for his grandfather. But there is a prior circumstance that will interfere with their missions. This is the beginning of a series featuring five sisters and five brothers. I think it's going to be fun. Enjoy I did.

The Cinderella Cook-Off is the first book in this series and is a fantastic read! I absolutely loved how Alice and Herb overcame challenges to be together. I could not put this book down from the moment I started reading it. I found myself laughing in quit a few places. This book did have a little BDSM that was very tastefully done. This is definitely a book to recommend to others.
Sable Sylvan is off to a great start with this series. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This was a really enjoyable story. I liked both Alice and Herb and enjoyed how they got together.
Alice is the oldest of 5 sisters and heir to the Quincy Hot Sauce Co. Their Grandfather started the company and died recently, leaving it to Alice (and her sisters down the line). Alice is done with college and other plans for her life but family demands kept her at home.
Herb is the oldest of 5 brothers and heir to the Scoville Hot Sauce Co. His family did really well over the years and are now billionaires. But the Scoville Grandfather has never forgotten the (supposed) theft a secret hot sauce recipe by the Quincy's Grandfather.
On the day of the reading of the Quincy Grandfather's will, Alice and her sisters encounter Herb and his brothers for the first time. Herb makes it clear that he's there to get the recipe and threatens a lawsuit that the Quincy sisters don't have the money to fight. Regardless, Alice refuses to give Herb the recipe and eventually, challenges him to a cook-off and if the Quincy sisters win, Herb withdraws his lawsuit. The county fair is taking place so they both enter dishes in the fair to be judged.
The story is short so I wont go into too many details but lets just say that the cook-off is just the beginning of the story. Thing don't go as expected and there's even a twist thrown in. I liked how the twist changed the story and brought new aspects into it. Alice and Herb do wind up together and are starting on a HEA in the end.
This was a really enjoyable story Alice was a strong woman that I really liked. I wasn't sure about Herb at first but I liked him once the story got going. In the end, they made a really good couple and I liked how things turned out. This story wasn't perfect but it had characters I really liked and a story I thought was very good and engaging so I'd recommend it. :)

This is the first book in a new bear series, BUT it is in the same fabulous world as all of Sable’s bear books. Bear Buns is even mentioned in this book! Sable has a unique world with mate marks and how being a mate is confirmed. Her books are always HEAs, and I’ve been loving the HEAs lately.
Alice is an independent gal who helps in keeping her sisters on the right path. I love her feisty attitude and sass. Herb is the same for his brothers. I didn’t like Herb much at the start, but neither did Alice. He turned himself around and changed my mind.
Plenty of sass and spice to entertain all shifter lovers especially if you already love Sable’s shifter world!

THE CINDERELLA COOK-OFF
I loved the concept of this story, short and sweet. The characters were very likable and engaging, and they had great chemistry. However there were quiet a lot of discrepancies in the storyline and it felt unsettled at times. Saying that, it was still an enjoyable lighthearted read.

I just finished reading this story. I expected her to be pregnant from her encounter with the polar bear college.
Cinder had to leave her career choice to take care of the family business. There are no step mother or step sister. Just only 5 sister to take care of each other.
Couldn't stop reading, it will be nice if you put recipe for the meatballs and jalapeño popper. You made it sound so good. I will like to Clove and Abby story but I couldn't find it.

A good start to a new fairy tale series. Cinderella's glass slipper has been remade. The Quincy sisters meet the Scoville brothers at the saddest time in their lives. They were at the lawyers following the death of their beloved grandfather. The five Viking-like gorgeous blondes in designer suits were just plain rude. Not only that, the reason they were at the attorney’s office was to stake claim to the Quincy family secret recipe for hot sauce. The basis of the women's future.
Alice and Herbert felt more than the competition but fought it. It wasn't enough that her protective sisters didn't trust the man who threatened them. They sure didn't want her to go on a date with him. Still, when they went there was a barrier. Both of them had someone in their past that kept them from letting another in their lives.

When the Quincy Sisters wet the Scoville Brothers, tempers flair and the temperature rises along with a few other things. Alice Quincyand Herbert Scoville are the eldest of five siblings each. There seems to be a problem about the ownership of a few recipes that were created by their respected Grandfathers. But who really knows who originally made them? Temperatures and Temperatures rise as these two families get into who is who and what is what. As the eldest siblings they are the ones that will be in charge of the inheritances of their families. The younger siblings all still need to finish their higher education. As the situation continues they (Alice and Herbert) can't seem to stay angry at each other, but the attraction to each other awakens memories of a lost love they both experienced. Will these two hot heads ever find that perfect Fated Mate or will Fate finally reveal what should have always been?

Get ready for one hot and spicy read, with a hunky bar shifter who will get your motor running and the curvy girl meant just for him. Alice and her 4 sisters are grieving over their grandfather's passing and trying to figure out how to keep his struggling hot sauce business up and running when out of the blue, 5 hunky bear shifters show up and disrupt their lives even more. Herbert, the oldest brother, claims that Alice's grandfather stole his hot sauce recipes from Herbert's grandfather. To Alice those are fighting words and she will do anything to prove that her grandfather was not a thief. Add in a cooking completion and fire works between Alice and Herb and you have one fiery hot read!

I know I am going to be so in love with this series. Sable Sylvan has a way to put a new spin on our childhood fairytales. This story was so great.
The Quincy sisters has suffered a great loss. They were at the reading of their grandfather’s will. To top this off here comes these 5 men in claiming their grandfather’s secret receipt was stolen and it was grandpa Quincy that had stolen it. Not something you want to have to full with on this day that is for sure.
I loved Alice which was the eldest sister. She was this beautiful curvy woman. She had a very strong personality and had some sass to go with that personality. She had this huge responsibility and weight on her shoulders. The company was her sole responsibility.
There was 5 Scoville brothers and Herbert was the eldest. Him and his brothers were determined to get what their grandfather claim was stolen. All thoughts seemed to change when he laid eyes on the beautiful curvy sassy woman. There was something so familiar about her. Now one thing you should know about the Scoville brothers is they were polar bears shifters from Norway.
I loved the chase between Herbert and Alice. Herbert was a hunter by nature and loved a good chance. He was one that always got what he wanted and deep down he just knew that Alice was his mate. She will not make it easy. The problem with Alice is she keeps dreaming of this man from her past. Her one time fling with this man that stoled her heart. Will Herbert be able to compete and win Alice’s heart?

I loved Alice which was the eldest sister. She was this beautiful curvy woman. She had a very strong personality and had some sass to go with that personality. She had this huge responsibility and weight on her shoulders. The company was her sole responsibility.
There was 5 Scoville brothers and Herbert was the eldest. Him and his brothers were determined to get what their grandfather claim was stolen. All thoughts seemed to change when he laid eyes on the beautiful curvy sassy woman. There was something so familiar about her. Now one thing you should know about the Scoville brothers is they were polar bears shifters from Norway.
I loved the chase between Herbert and Alice. Herbert was a hunter by nature and loved a good chance. He was one that always got what he wanted and deep down he just knew that Alice was his mate. She will not make it easy. The problem with Alice is she keeps dreaming of this man from her past. Her one time fling with this man that stoled her heart. Will Herbert be able to compete and win Alice’s heart?
This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read it.

Love The One You Hate!
What joy this was to read, just like a real life Cinderella story, only it took this prince 10 years to find the owner of the sneaker.
Alice has sweet dreams every night of the mysterious masked man that took her breath away 10 years ago and now she can't be with the man who she feels attracted to. She feels like she belongs to that man she had the one night stand with. Luckily the man she is attracted to is also the man she must beat for the famous recipe her grandpa left her and her sisters,so he is hands off. Hopefully cause he looks as yummy as all the food at the fair.
Herbert is in town to retrieve the famous recipe his grandfather claims was stolen from him years ago. But he didn't count on his rival being the BBW, grandaughter to the would be thief. She makes him feel things only one other ever did and that was 10 years ago....Could it be, or is just De'Ja'Vu?

I quite enjoyed this read, more so than some of the previous books. I loved how it was a little different than others, with more banter and a little humour. I loved how they first met in the office and the fiery spark Herb and Alice had, I really enjoyed their interactions together as well as with all their siblings especially at the end.
I did feel that about halfway through the read, there was a complete 180 between the characters, like everything they went through previously didn’t matter/exist anymore. It was still fairly enjoyable and I’m looking forward to see how they next 2 siblings get along

Herbert Scoville was tasked with retrieving the stolen items, but one look at Alice and things quickly change. Unbeknownst to both, they have met prior and fate has other plans. Loved the enemy-lovers route the story took! The instant attraction between the two when they re-met is hot and loved how Herbert and Alice were trying to stay true the people they met a year ago. Only problem I had was I would have loved to know if he handled his grandfather! Good book and hot read!

I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation. Sable Sylvan did it again. The Feminine Mesquite is a five book awesome series featuring the five curvy Quincy Sisters and the five alpha male polar bear shifters who are the heirs to the Scoville fortune. There are no cliffhangers, and every book ends with a guaranteed happily ever after. No Spoilers here. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

I found Sable Sylvan by accident. I do love her shifter books. This book is the first in her new series. This is a well written book. It is a short, quick easy read. I don't do spoilers but I will let you know there is a big bad bear and the girl who won't back down. I encourage anyone who is looking for a quick shifter read get this one, you won't be disappointed. This one is worth your time and effort.

Loved!! What started out as two families fighting over legal rights to hot sauce recipes. Turned into a beautiful love story with more on the way. Two families the 5 Quincy BBW's sisters and the 5 hunky blonde Scoville bear shifter brothers. Can't wait to read the other 4 stories in this series. I see many late nights reading these books! Who needs sleep anyway? Not ME!!

In this book we meet Alice Quincy and Herbert Scoville. These two meet as rivals on the day that the Quincy girls are listening to the reading of their late grandfather's will. Little did the girls know that these Scoville boys were going to be a whole lot more trouble than they thought. This boo shows a Polar Bear who knows what he wants if he can just get the man and the woman to get on board with it all.
This is a short story that is full of twists and turns. I will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. There are so many twists I don't want to say to much about this book but I will say it defiantly will have you wondering what will happen next. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Absolutely loved this new book in a new series "the feminine mesquite"!
Alice and Herbert get off to a rival cook off to some secret sauce recipe... but little do either know fate has way more in store for them then some recipe! I really enjoyed the banter with these two and meeting their brothers and sisters. Can't wait to read the next book!

What happens when two families of 5 get together? Well sprinkle it with some fairytale dust and you get this amazing story and the start to an amazing series
I really enjoyed that while it was based on a fairytale it was done in such a way that you feel it could be real and what better way to be then to get lost in a world. Bring on book two

A family of girls and a family of guys, perfect, a series in the making.
I could see where this was going and was surprised at the twist in the tale. There shifters are different to the standard ones, I quite like some of the changes but not so much others.
At times the writing seemed a bit blocky but I still enjoyed reading, I'll check out the others in the series.

Five Texan sisters, five Norwegian brothers, a half-baked plot about hot sauce recipe theft during WWII - what's not to like. Oh, and polar bear shifters!
It's a retelling of Cinderella and none the worse for that - a piece of well-written fluff. It's short, snarky and sweet - just the thing to cheer you up when your day deals you lemons :)

I love this author. Sable has a way of bring you into a story. This story of a chance in time. Where the past meets the future. How no matter when and where you are, the truest of fates can happen a second time.

I loved this Cinderella with a twist romance from Sable Sylvan! While the lost shoe isn't a glass slipper but a white sneaker and this Cinderella wasn't running from a King's ball but a Masquerade ball on New Year's Eve in New York City. When Alice finds herself in charge of the family's hot sauce company while her other sisters finish college she gets more than she imagined when Herbert Scoville and his polar bear shifter brothers show up claiming her grandfather stole some recipes from their grandfather and they want them back. While Herbert and Alice start off on opposites sides they quickly find they have more in common than either could imagine. I can't wait to see what else is in store for these two families. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Oh this one was so romantic and fun. I little remix of cinderella and the Brady bunch TV show lol lot of twists and turns in the story with some really fun characters. Truly a fun read! I can't wait for the next book!
