One anthology. Three wolf shifter romances. Don’t miss this collection of stories from USA TODAY bestselling author Kerry Adrienne, Sionna Fox and Shari Mikels
A woman born blind and without the ability to shift yearns to seek her own fate away from her watchful, devoted wolf pack. Vulnerable and stuck in human form, she’s alone and at risk when she’s rescued by the bear shifter who is her destiny.
An accident forces a man to change the best friend he’s loved for years…or leave her for dead. There’s no reason to hide his true self anymore—but can she ever forgive him?
And a pack alpha finds that rescuing his fated mate from a violent confrontation with two wolf shifters is easy. Helping her move from fear to acceptance of the animals—and him—is a challenge.
What a brilliant collection of standalone novellas this proved to be! Three very different shifter romances by three different authors each of whom puts their own slant on these paranormal tales. Each story is complete in itself. All have great characters who the authors bring to life within the pages of their story and in each story the talented author quickly draws readers into the shifter world they've created.
The first story concerns a blind wolf shifter who is determined to escape from her pack even though she has never managed to shift. Her dramatic escape leads her to being rescued by a bear shifter - her fated mate. Get ready for more drama, however, as her pack are determined to get her back and things will not go smoothly for this fated pair!
The second, moving story concerns some desperate decisions as a man has to choose to let his best friend die or to save her by making her a werewolf like he secretly is. It is a traumatic tale of revelations, forgiveness and life after near death!
Finding his mate would be moving enough, but finding her being confronted by two wolf shifters and rescuing her isn't going to help him solve the problem that she's terrified of shifters. This is a story where love, acceptance and history all have significant roles to play before they can achieve their HEA together.
Usually with an anthology like this there will be at least one disappointing story but I have to say that in this case all three impressed me and I’ll definitely be on the look out for more stories by these talented authors in future! If you also enjoy shifter romances, I’d definitely recommend checking out this collection, especially if, like me, you haven’t read anything by these authors before- this is a great introduction to all three of them!
I requested and was given a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.
4/5 - Mated was awesome as far as anthologies go. Usually I expect to be disappointed by at least one story in an anthology. It's just how it goes. But I was pleasantly surprised with this one! They were all short enough to read on a lunch break or as a quick bedtime story AND they were all well written? Please, please give me more anthologies like this one!
Saving His Wolf by Kerry Adrienne - 3.5/5 Even though this one was my least favorite of the three, Saving His Wolf was still really good. This was a story about two unlikely lovers and overcoming even the largest obstacles in front of you. I liked the characters well enough, but I couldn't get over the female MC. She kept running away and whining a little bit too much for my tastes, but her sexy bear mate more than made up for her shortcomings.
I'd have probably given this one a higher rating if I had more time with the characters in a full length novel. As a novella, it just seemed cut short and a little fast paced. The saving grace for this one was the awesome character development. There were so many sides to these characters and I knew I was just seeing the tip of the ice berg. I just wish I had more time to get to know them.
Wolf Summer by Sionna Fox - 4.5/5 Best story of the anthology, hands down! I LOVED this one. I'll probably reread it... multiple times. There was a fair mix of pack politics, romance, friendship drama, and suspenseful villains. I really don't want to say too much and give it away, but this story right here makes the entire anthology worth it. The love between these two MC's is so pure it melts my frozen heart.
If this were ever turned into a full length novel, it would be an insta-buy for me. Sionna Fox is definitely on my radar now and I can't wait to see what else she brings! You should definitely read this one!!
Drawn to the Wolves by Shari Mikels - 4/5 Drawn to the Wolves was a very pleasant surprise. I'm susually on the fence about characters that have fear issues that play into their relationships with other characters, but Shari Mikels did a good job here. Her traumatic past wasn't distracting or acting as a plot filler. I usually don't like the female MC's in most books, but Kate was an incredibly strong character and I actually liked her a lot.
And Callan, just... I want an entire book about him just so I can keep reading that name over and over again. Not only was he a strong character, but he was a good Alpha and a great pack leader. He had a lot of support from his pack and I just felt how close they all were as a family. This was another great book. I'll be keeping my eye on Mikels' work in the future and I defiitely recommend this one.

***I voluntarily reviewed this book for Katsindiebookblog, and I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book.*** These 3 books are unique in their own way, even though they are all paranormal books, they are different. The first story, I fell in love with it quickly. A women running from her pack, blind, and scared. She gets saved by a werebear, who realizes this scared woman is his fated mate. They seek out answers to find out why she cannot shift. Is it just because of her disability of being born blind? Tragedy strikes. Can these fated mates overcome their obstacle and live happily together? Or will it be too late? Book 2 was just as enthralling. What happens when your best friend, the one you’ve loved, either dies at your hands or you use your ability as a shifter to change her? The alpha cannot live without her, therefore he makes the decision of changing her. Not only does she find out who he really is, but she realizes what she means to him as well. Can she stand to be with him after he took the decision from her, or can they overcome this obstacle and be together forever? Book 3 was just as exceptional as the others. An alpha senses something/someone is in distress. When he discovers his fated mate is being accosted by his cousin and a wolve, he comes to her rescue, even though is accidentally landed on their property. Family issues are thrown into place, as well as her fear of wolves, due to a tragic accident that occurred when she was a kid. Can the alpha take care of the threats, as well as working on her fear of wolves? Or will this be a lost cause? All books were very well written, and each author knows how to throw you into the lives of these stories. I highly recommend this book. You get 3 stories in 1, how can you go wrong?
All three of these stories were good reads for me. I highly recommend these stories if you like werewolf shifter stories. Saving the Wolf-This was a cute, quick shifter romance. Running from a mating she did not want, only to be injured, and rescued by her fated mate. She was stronger then she realized. It took her love and being mated to him, a bear, to realize that she was worthy. An enjoyable read. Wolf Summer-This was an interesting story that got my attention. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one. These two have been best friends who have been in love with one another for years, but neither knew it. Shifting wolves and a bite change their worlds. Drawn to the Wolves-This world was one I fell into. It intrigued me right away. This was a good read. I am left with a few questions , so I will have to read the next book to see if they are answered. They have a few things to work our, but they are instantly connected. I enjoyed living in this world. I couldn't put this book down. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is an anthology of three stories by three different authors. Though the stories are all about shifters, they are totally unrelated. The first is a wolf and a bear. The second is a human who, unbeknownst to her, is best friends (and half in love) with a wolf. When she is purposely struck by a car he changes her to keep her from dying. The third is a human and a wolf. This is the one I liked the best. She knows nothing about shifters but knows a lot about real wolves. As a child, her best friend was almost killed by a pack of wolves. She quickly discovers the voice she has been hearing in her dreams for a number of years is a shifter. That voice has always brought her comfort. Still it belongs to a wolf, and she is terrified of wolves.
A good shifter anthology with three very familiar authors. If you're looking for an introduction to paranormal shifting books, this is an excellent choice. This anthology includes: Saving His Wolf by Kerry Adrienne Wolf Summer by Sionna Fox Drawn to the Wolves by Shari Mikels All three have your typically strong alpha male. (2 wolf, 1 bear) . I think my favorite was Saving His Wolf by Adrienne who has bear male and wolf female. Easy to finish each story in one sitting. All have good story lines and satisfying endings.
Three stories with the same theme...wolves, shifters, finding their dates mated. Written by three different authors. First one was about a blind non shifting werewolf who finds out her mate is a bear shifter. The second about a werewolf who to save the human he loves, and who was injured, changes her. But will she accept him? The third what happens when the alpha finds out his mate is afraid of wolves?
Good stories. Completely unrelated to one another, which is fine but I don't understand why the were bundled together aside from being shifter novellas.
Mated is a collection of three different shifter stories by three authors. The stories have nothing in common with each other apart from the shifters, so you don't have to have read any previous work to gain the full enjoyment out of these novellas. They are all good lengths and give you plenty of details not only about the main characters but also about Pack history, situations etc.
They are all brilliantly written, drawing you into each story quickly, and making you want the characters to gain their HEAs. There were no editing or grammatical errors in any of the stories that disrupted my reading flow. Although I have read some of Kerry Adrienne's work prior to this, I now have two further authors to look out for. This collection was thoroughly enjoyable, and I definitely recommend it.
