When I picked up Tender No Judgement, by Elle St. John, I was expecting a typical romance novel in which love scenes are loosely tied together with a weak plot, but this was not the case! In the beginning of the novel, the main characters have a difficult time relating because of their past experiences. Sabrina has been physically abused by a man, and Micah has trauma from his experiences in the military. As the story continues, Sabrina and Micah learn to trust each other. The subplot of international espionage separates the two lovers for some time, but in the end, they are able to find each other and create a future for themselves. The subplot was pretty detailed, with Sabrina being called upon to help recover a dangerous piece of technology from the Russians, even though she had no military background. I enjoyed this change of pace with a strong female character who does what the situation requires. A lot of romance novels focus on a heroine who sits around waiting to be rescued, and while Sabrina is that type of person at the beginning of the novel, by the end you can see her transformation into a strong, independent woman. Both Sabrina and Micah have to face the trauma they have been through, and in their long conversations they are able to work through their emotional hurts and the shadows of their past. There are quite a few love scenes, and readers should be aware that there is also a scene of sexual violence. This is actually an important aspect of the book, as the character has to come to terms with the violence she experienced and learn to move forward with her life. However, due to this adult content, I’d definitely recommend this book for readers who are 18+. Tender No Judgement isn’t just a love story, it also addresses real issues that are faced by women in all walks of life. I can’t wait for the second book in the series to come out!

Intrigue and Intricate
WOW! What an interesting read. Micah and Sabrina are a very unique couple. The way they meet and their journey is truly a watch. The people that they meet along the way on their journey are also unusual. The plot, characters, the dialogue, and the drama does hold the reader's attention. Glad Micah and Sabrina got their HEA.

Where do I begin. Abuse, hate,love, scarface, devotion, lies, forgiveness this book has it all. I was sucked in on page one.
Such an amazing read. So well written, you will not want to put it down til you have read the last page This is the first book I have read by Elle and it will definitely not be the last. I want to thank the author for writing such an amazing story.

this book is not for the faint hearted. I did find it hard to get into at first but I am glad I stuck with it, I couldn't put it down.The story is is told with realism, its dark, its brutal, it shows the depravity of some humans in this world. Most of all it is the story of the fight to overcome these horrors and find peace and love.This totally made me cry with them and for them. I would definitely be reading from Elle again.

Mrs. St. John takes us to a lonely mountain where Sabrina and Micah collide. Where finding a girl abandoned on the side of the road for dead leads way beyond heavy petting to passionate sex that leaves nothing to the imagination except what is Mrs. St John leaving out. Sabrina works in a book store and for all purposes very innocent and when she finds herself in a relationship with a Russian Mobster Sergei who she only knows has Sonny. After a night out with his friends, she refuses to stay at the party she finds herself beaten and left for dead on a mountain road. Micah is on his way home from his sisters to meet her new baby and stops in a rainstorm to seek refuge at an abandoned gas station and finds the body of a woman who is no other than Sabrina. Sabrina and Micah's world collide and fire explodes between them. When Sabrina past collides with their present and they are torn apart can a promise bring them back together? This is my second Elle St John book and her without a doubt will make you blush. This is an erotic romance definitely not for minors. She has an easy to read writing style and allows you the chance to thoroughly enjoy what she writes very graphically. If you do not like sexually graphic novels this one is not for you. This has a very well written storyline and I really enjoyed her characters and her sex scenes were realistic and you can imagine yourself in the midst of all the passion.

When I picked up Tender No Mercies by Elle St John, I expected just another romance. Don’t get me wrong, I was looking forward to it. The plot seemed deliciously simple and romantic. Lost, lonely girl meets badass who wants to take care of her. Perfect. I love those kinds of books.
And when I first started reading it, it seemed to fulfill my expectations to a T. Not the best writing I have read, but nothing I could complain about. Not the most plot-intensive book I have read, but enough to make me happy.
I did have complaints, and was busily marking them in my head. At times, I wanted to slap Sabrina silly. Sillier than she was, anyway. Other times I huffed under my breath at Micah, for his poor pitiful me act.
And then shit started going down.
This book absolutely blew me away. The second and third parts of it were like a different book. At times I was all but slack-jawed in horror at what was happening. A few times I saw teasing hints of what was to come, and I recognized them for what they were. But no…I assured myself the author would not put her characters through that trauma.
The author proved me wrong. Lord, did she ever prove me wrong.
I have never – and I have read a lot of romance/erotica books – never have read such a REAL one. The characters I was mildly irritated over but still enjoying morphed into concrete real people. I cried. I actually cried. And then I was all “NO! No that’s a mistake! DON’T DO THAT YOU WILL REGRE…..oh that’s kind of hot. Ok carry on…” And then I was happy. And then I was looking for more and I hope it comes soon. Author followed.
The second and third parts of this book changed this from a solid four star rating to a happy five star rating – something I don’t give out often to a book I have initial complaints over – no matter how mild they are. Usually I insist on outstanding writing. The author’s writing improves as the story goes on, but it can still stand some improvement. Doesn’t matter. A good book shines through regardless, and this was a very very good book.

***Warning...this is not your Mom's smutty reading books...it's so much better! *** That being said you also need to know that this book has explicit language and sexual content. So: let's get to the good parts, the characters in this book are Micah, a wounded alpha male and Sabrina a bookworm. You meet them both on a cold, rainy night on a side of a mountain...from that point on it's an uphill battle that will take you on a roller coaster ride ( better hang on). This book pulls you in and makes you forget that you have other things that need to be done :) I did have to put it down a couple of times, walk away and tell myself it's just a book. This is a keeper book!
Did you see that ***Woot Woot!!*** Tom's story "Come With Me" is coming out at the end of April. You meet Tom in this book and lordy.......that's all I'm going to say.

This is my first read by Elle St.John, it was an interesting read. I really wish I was allowed half-stars.
The story and the author's writing was very different than what I've read in the past. Her characters are deep and a little dark, especially her hero.
The relationship between her MCs was a definite 'insta-love' that I was no expecting and it shocked me a bit but I was able to open my mind and work with it. I did think the interaction between both MCs (Sabrina and Micah) was a little stiff and not genuine. It felt forced, cold and sometimes even a little unreal. However, I enjoyed the story, the tale of loving passed the scars, forgiving passed the hurt.
I will definitely be looking forward to the second in this series.

I rolled my eyes a lot reading this book! Sabrina is so obtuse and stupid, I got really annoyed. Oh come on, her boyfriend let her to died in the mountains and she is afraid of her savior? The one guy that protect her?
Couldn't relate with the characters, cuz the way they act are long way from reality or common sense!
She freaking wants to run away, because he'll stitches the foot she got cut running away in the first place? Oh common?! How dumb is she? She thought he's a monster, but she felt safe enough to have a few orgasms? Really?
I'll give 2 stars because the sex scene were really hot!

I just finished reading this book........ohhhh..........it's a romance book but its so much more...its dark, angry, sexual, and so much more. It's one of those books that you will read over and over again. Micah and Sabrina's story is gut retching but with a HEA.

This book could fit into a few genres - its got elements of dark romance, spy thriller, and crime novel. The plot starts off quick, the twists were unexpected and interesting and the characters are complex.

Tender No Judgement was a bit different but good different for me! This story was dark, and thrilling on the edge of your seat at times, and we all sexy moments as well! Loved Micah and Sabrina with everything they both endure, they come out the other end with their HEA! Their souls fit perfectly together!

Starting off within the first few pages, took hold of my complete and undivided attention, a true page-turner. I honestly couldn’t set the book down; very few times I can honestly admit that. The offer of erotica with a plot that made sense and could even be possibly relatable, depending on the reader, just provided an amazing reading experience. In “Tender No Judgment,” author Elle St. John, she gives her readers the experience of learning the main characters, building a bond with each of them and hoping for the best for all. By reading this book, you’ll learn things that militants have faced by methods of coping with all they’ve endured but with a twist, involving a woman on the total opposite world from theirs.
The retired militant named Micah and the damsel, who was rescued by him named Sabrina, have their differences but shared similar things they lacked. Interesting start of a relationship that grew within a span of two weeks, has felt the most realistic compared to those that take a lifetime to know someone. Author Elle St. John introduced her readers to characters that would affect us greatly, from even sensing the bond between them. Reading the writing style of Elle St. John opened a world full of love, longing, hurt, pain, jealousy, joy and all other emotions wrapped into one power ball. You’ll learn two tactics of many that the military use to assist getting through an assignment and one to cope after the fact. While reading this book, I’ve come to an understanding that people who are truly traumatized are not broken but can rise above like a phoenix. After reading this book, I’m looking forward to the next part so I may indulge in the continuation of their love; their story is an inspiration for everyone to heal, no matter what they’ve experienced.

The story revolves around Micah, a retired army man who can hack, and Sabrina, a beautiful woman who was attacked by her Russian boyfriend. A large portion of it revolves around their lovemaking. It's definitely more erotica than traditional romance. But it also has an exciting plot wrapped around it.
I don't intend to give away too much, but I will tell you that Sabrina's ex is an important part of the conflict. He beat her and left her to die. Micah finds her and they develop a romance between them. But their relationship is threatened by Russian terrorists. In a way, this book is a lot more like an action genre than I originally thought. It's fun to read. There's no shortage of excitement as there is always something that the characters have to deal with. A lot of times their lives are even threatened.
I will warn you that there is a lot of sex scenes. This isn't really a book for someone who isn't interested in that sort of thing. However, if you are the type of person that enjoys erotica, then you will enjoy this book. It doesn't leave out a single detail and will surely make you blush more than once. You can definitely feel the passion that Sabrina and Micah have for each other.
One thing that I forgot to mention was how this story is almost a modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The beast part comes in the form of Micah who's crippled after the war. He's insecure about how he looks, especially in comparison to Sabrina. Like Beauty and the Beast, Micah and Sabrina have to spend a certain amount of time with each other. There is even symbolism with a flower, much like how the flower in the original story brought the Beauty and the Beast together. Overall, it's an interesting take. But instead of being a curse, Micah faces a very real problem. I personally find that to be a great way to modernize the old story.
There are some heavy and dark themes in the book. Depending on who you are, that can be good or bad. It involves domestic abuse, blood drinking and rape, among some other things. But I personally appreciate that in a story. It's good that it doesn't talk down.
All in all, it's entertaining to read. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Sabrina works at a bookstore in Sacramento. She was dating a rich Russian man who turned out to be physically abusive and a drug user. After abandoning her at a closed gas station on a rainy night without a cell phone in the mountains of Northern California, Sabrina is on the verge of getting hypothermia. She is bruised and passed out when retired Marine, Micah, finds her. He is concerned for her and takes her to his remote cabin and draws a warm bath to raise her body temperature. The heat is very high in this erotic thriller.
Micah needs to know what happened to this beautiful young woman. He wants to know who would treat a woman this way. Sabrina's face is badly bruised from being hit by the angry Russian. After her bath, she walks into Micah's bedroom and sees that he has a collection of books which is a turn on for her since she also loves to read.
Micah asks her what happened, but Sabrina is still in shock and not ready to talk. After some time passes, she tells him that she was at a party with the Russian man at a luxurious house with many of his rich friends, but she wanted to leave the party early. As her boyfriend drove her home, he flipped out and got violent and stranded her on that rainy night. As she retells the story, Micah begins devising a plan of revenge for the Russian ex-boyfriend. He tells Sabrina that he wants to help her and soon they become passionate lovers.
Later, as Micah does some investigating, he finds out that the Russian ex is a powerful and dangerous man. Micah was a Black Ops Marine in the Middle East and is not intimidated by danger. This story is very steamy and there are lots of sparks between Micah and Sabrina.

I wanted to love this book! It is unique and had some great moments. Micah is my kind of guy. Gentle, warm, and loving...yet....rough, rugged, and strong. Declaring love so soon and orgasming from the slightest touch...several times... took away from this great love story. I would have given more stars, but, if I'm being honest, I wanted more. I understand instant attraction, but, the circumstances that they meet under is too horrific to orgasm so freely even with the adrenaline rush. I enjoyed most of it and I believe Elle is brilliant, however, I am the sort of reader who has to see myself in that situation, in other words, it has to be somewhat believable. Great overall story!!

Tender No Judgement is a fast paced and sexually graphic romance novel. It is well written and has a catchy plot. The way Sabrina and Micah meet is the stuff fantasies are made of. Sabrina finds herself beaten and left at an abandoned gas station when her boyfriend throws a fit because she insists on leaving a ritzy party.
Micah is all man with a soft side and a sad past. The two would never have crossed paths had he not come to her rescue. The attraction is instant and intense.
It will definitely put you in the mood to wake your husband or boyfriend up. If you're single it will leave you with very pleasant dreams.

Elle St. John is a new (to me) author. This book was well written and kept me engaged as a reader. A very emotional read, I didn't want it to end. I was pulled in from the jump. Don't be shy, jump in with me and Tender No Judgement.

A romance story with a few twists and turns. I loved reading about Sabrina and the bookstore she worked in, plus life in Sacramento; even before the introduction of Micah. I don't read a lot of romance novels because a good number are based on fantasy, but I loved reading this book. Great read.

Totally was not expecting that!
This book was completely not what I was expecting, my expectations and what I read. Let's say what I read blew my expectations out of the water. This book is full of emotions. Emotions that are so hard to come across sometimes. Some of the situations in this book will rock you to core. This book is truly just wow. 5 stars doesn't even compete to what this book should be getting. I'm just blown away.

Sabrina is a girl out on a date with a guy who has lavished her with gifts, but when she crosses him it turns ugly and he leaves her to die on a cold mountain. This is where Micah finds her and their tumultuous relationship starts . She’s scared of him and the man he is, he is an ex military soldier and has killed and become a hardened person. She has to let her fear go and learn to trust Micah.

This was one of those books where you just couldn't finde the ending it was a good book , but way too long By the time I got to the part where she was by herseld I was wishing I was by myself also.

It was ok
I didn't mind the story telling the author provided. I originally had trouble getting through this book, but it wasn't as bad as I thought.My biggest problem is referring to a Marine as a soldier. NO marine would ever be OK with being called that. It's considered belittling. They are marines. Also I am 90% sure no marines wear berets. All USMC "hats" are called covers. I told my husband about this who was a sergeant in the Marine Corps and he said I should immediately stop reading this book. It's sort of like calling football and tennis the same thing.
Moving beyond that, I did enjoy the book itself. Right from the beginning it grabs you with this terrifying situation this girl is in. It gets your attention and holds it. You feel for her and this bizarre situation she is thrown into. This macho tough guy falling head over heels, and being a man on a mission. Good book, Good Price, Check it out.

My reading experience wasn't very positive for this one. I was very uncomfortable while reading it and I enjoy smut but some of it was too much for me. I hope you all have a better experience!

I wasnt sure what to expect when I picked up this book but I was very surprised, and happy! This book has so much going for it that it that I kept wanting to read more! Micah and Sabrina came together in an unusual way and even though things escalated quickly, they had chemistry that was off the charts! The things both of them went through really makes their back stories interesting and gives so much to why Micah is the way he is!
The hotness level was off the charts and I could even feel myself blush at times with how graphic Elle wrote it! I will say when the twist came it was not something I was entirely expecting so I was definitely hooked from there! I now wann hear Toms story :-)
