My virtual assistant is going to find out who’s boss…
When my PA quits, I can’t say I’m sorry. She was as incompetent in the office as she was in the bedroom. I need to stay the hell away from virgins. One f**k and they think that I’m ready to walk them down the aisle! HR are on my case, and I can’t hire another assistant. I own the f*cking corporation, but I can’t get decent help… …apart from Olivia. She’s been my backup assistant for years, working remotely in middle of nowhere. I’ll pay her double, give her days off, anything to meet this deadline. I just don’t need another distraction. I’ve never met Olivia, but I have a feeling she’s a middle-aged spinster with a dozen cats. Perfect for keeping me and my cock out of trouble. Trouble is I got it all wrong. Olivia walks into my office, and she’s an emerald-eyed bombshell. I may be in charge, but Olivia’s holding all the cards until this deadline is done. Then I’m going to bend her over my desk and show her what a good boss I can be.
Author's Note: It's short and steamy with enough sexiness for you to enjoy this novella. It is standalone, and there's no cheating!
3.75 Stars I really liked Olivia. She was a strong and smart woman that didn’t let anything get her down. She gave up her dream job, a top career, to work from home and care for her mother. I didn’t love Ross but I didn’t hate him either. He slept with every single one of his past secretaries and wondered why they became clingy. I wanted to shout at my kindle and tell ross to clue up and keep his d*ck in his pants! It didn’t take him long to go after Olivia. I wanted her to at least make him chase her but she didn’t. Despite this, I liked Ross and Olivia as a couple. I would have liked this book to be a little longer to see the relationship progress more. I chuckled at the fifty shades of grey part of the storyline. Although Olivia’s aunt amused me, Olivia must have had the patience of a saint to put up with her. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.
After firing his clingy secretary, billionaire CEO Ross Hamilton is unsure on what to do. Needing to find a replacement he won’t be tempted to sleep with, he turns to his virtual assistant Olivia. Olivia is a virtual assistant and works from home. Looking after her mother who has dementia and working at home is tough but works for her situation. When one of her clients, Ross Hamilton demands she works from his office she is stuck. Stuck because she cannot leave her mother alone but she needs the extra money. When Olivia turns up at his office she is not what Ross was expecting. He was expecting an old cat lady, instead he finds a beautiful woman. A woman that he wants to sleep with. Whilst trying to resist temptation sparks fly between them but will Ross give in to his desires?
Ross is the womanizer; he goes through women like most change their underwear, including his P.A's most people, know this about him, he does not care. South of the border seems to rule most of his days. While Ross is out looking for one thing only these women are getting attached with dollar signs in their eyes. Then Ross has to quickly let them go before he has a lawsuit on his hands. Deciding he needs a different kind of P.A, he goes for his virtual assistant, the best he has had, figuring she has to be safe in the looks department.Oliva shows up next day; Ross finds she not safe, also she is not going to take his crap. She has her own agenda for being there and has certain impressions of him already. Things could get awfully uncomfortable for Ross. Ted Evans is a new to me author- I thought the storyline to this novella was intriguing. I found it to be humorous, very fast paced with copious amounts of hotness, as far as the characters go I felt like Ross started out really strong then went a bit mushy toward the middle, Oliva was great but so confusing, as to what she wanted up until the end anyway! I believe that the aunt who was " helping" with the mother who seemed to get a bit better.. was great The story did feel a bit rushed, even for a novella,( I am a details kind of girl) but other than that I felt the book was good, I would like to read more from this author in the future! I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book
Douche bag who is over come with insta- love for his 'nothing special' virtual assistant. Humour is meant to more than just stupid pov's. I was just starting to think about not finishing the story when the epilogue seems to appear out of no where. Perhaps I wasn't paying close attention (as I listen to books) but I am thankful that time wasted was minimal.
This book was absolutely adorable. It was a short read with Insta love. I laughed and said awww. I have to say the aunt was a mess and kept cracking me up. Good book.
Great quick read wish I had Ross epilogue but other than that it was a fast love story. There was two sex scenes would have loved it more if the book was longer with more detail of them dating. Other than that it was great. #GreatRead #QuickRead
Ross is the CEO of a corporation and has trouble keeping a secretary because of his amorous attentions. He only wants fun, no commitments. After a few days, the secretary quits and he has to look for a new one. Which is fine with Ross except this time he is in the middle of an important deal and he needs a good assistant already in place. So he calls in Olivia who had been working from home for years. Ross assumes she is an older lady and unattractive. Never assume! What follows is an amusing adventure that turns his life around in ways he would shudder to imagine. It's a short read but light, interesting and entertaining. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Four stars.
This debut is an office romance. Ross isn't a controlling, disciplined billionaire. He is a randy, manipulative hound who dips his pen in company ink so often, HR won't help him find a new one. Enter Olivia, former executive and current virtual assistant.
There is a sweet, happy quality to this author's writing. That said, this story needs additional editing, as continuity suffered, and character development was minimal. Also, novellas seem to be leaving conflict and antagonist development behind. Shortness of length does not exempt authors from the rules of storytelling. People need reasons to change.
A short, fun, exciting enjoyable story. He gets a reputation and almost in trouble. Hires someone new and from there off we go. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This is the first time I have read a book by Mr Evans......liked how it started out ( need to watch for typos and sentence structure, pretty bad to have grammar errors in the first paragraph of the first chapter.) Anyway, the story could have ended better, it seemed to jump from going on a date to ending up in the hospital having a baby ???? Will see how the next turns out. Haven't lost all hope yet.
** I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced Reader Copy of this book** First book by this author and if this is an example of what's to come, it sure won't be the last that I will read. I thoroughly enjoyed Ross and Olivia's story, he's a bit of a dog, she's struggling balancing work with a difficult home life. The novella was fast paced, well developed, and steamy. All the characters were interesting and fun. The end was really rushed, losing a star from me, but overall, a great read!!
This was just OK for me. Its not bad but he's kind of week. I did like that she was the alpha in this relationship. And what's with the fifty shades of grey stuff? Is he having sex there or is it just a speaking group. So confused there. I don't think he will cheat because she would tear him a new one lol.
I don't usually read novellas because I'm left feeling rushed or like I'm missing something but this one was a great read. I loved Ross and Olivia's story, Ross never wanting to commit just needed the right female to calm him down. Olivia always taking care on someone, just needed someone to take care of her for once. This novella was fast and to the point without leaving you feeling rushed. Great read to get your mind off something for a bit
This is a fast and enjoyable read. Ross is the CEO of a corporation and has slept with all of his secretaries. His last one got to clingy and was fired so he had to get his virtual assistant to come in and fill in. Olivia was not what he thought and soon he found himself falling for her not just in the bedroom. I received a copy for an honest review.
A fun, sexy short story. This has some humor, drama and a whole lot of hotness. Ross and Olivia are great characters, I really enjoyed reading it, Highly recommend to everyone.
A quick read is what Ted Evans gives in Virtually Bossy. It starts off well, but I begin to get lost and disinterested as it continues. It may be a good story, but it just wasn't for me.
This book is really good- it is very hot, lol funny at times, and just plain good storytelling. It needs a little bit better editing but not enough to affect the gist of the book. I'll be looking forward to more great stories told, at least in part, by the male point of view. Did I mention it's hot, hot, hot!!
Ted Evans seems like he's been writing all his life
This book was great , Olivia didn't know what she was walking into after being a virtual secretary for the company for quite some time and Ross finally makes her come in throwing her for a loop not understanding why all of the sudden she's needed on site and not working from home. Then they meet and the book starts to heat up hot and heavy . With his great writing skills I see a bright future and many hot books coming out of Evans' words
DNF@ 25%. Too many typos within the first few pages. Writing that reads like it was done by third grader...and a third grader that has never read another book before at that. Life is too short to be bothered with writing this terrible. Is there a way to give a book HALF a star???
