Screw Driver
He screwed me over once, and now he wants to screw me again.
Noah Hall is my mortal enemy. Back in high school, I thought he was the sexiest guy I’d ever seen. That is, until he decided to make a joke out of me in front of the entire school. He asked me out as a dare with no intention of following through.
I’ve hated him ever since.
Problem is, the Grand Opening for my newly-renovated bed and breakfast is only a few days away. And there also happens to be a massive hole in the floor. I need a handyman ASAP, and he’s the only man in town. I have no choice but to hire him to screw my floorboards back into place.
Turns out, he wants to screw me sideways instead. And, as much as I hate to admit it, I want to let him. But is this just another joke? If I give in, will he break my heart all over again?

This is the 2nd book in this series out the 3 Hall brothers, Luke, Jack & Noah.
Noah's good guy, but feels responsible for his parents death & hides is behind a "joker" mask. In high school he & his brothers used to bet on any & everything & when they dared him to ask Harper out on a date & she said yes, they congratulated him in front of Harper and Harper felt like the biggest fool to have feelings for him. Unknown to her, he actually really liked her & really wanted to take her out on a date, but since those yrs they've been at odds over every little thing & have a love/hate relationship. Harper's ready to reopen her guesthouse after renovations, but then a one of the floors collapse & Noah comes to fix it. They both feel the electricity between them & starts flirting, Noah decides he had enough & he finally makes his move to claim Harper as his, but there's still misunderstandings & trust issues that keep them apart....Will they finally get their HEA?

They hatred they both believed they had for each other was the strongest love anyone can feel. With all there bickering and arguing neither saw the signs. Noah the jokester who makes dares and turns everything into a joke and Harper was not really suppose to be a joke but was caught up in it thru the teenage years and now that they finally understand the strong connection and the electric charge they can have the relationship hey secretly wanted..

A very sweet read

This read of Noah and Harper was just that sweet. Falling for your one and only is something we always hope for when we are teens and grow into adults but when that one becomes the one that torments your heart is becomes a hopeful desire.
The sex was hot
The banter was on but something was off at the same time,
Mistakes were many in this book I hate to say. Overlooking them was hard but it still made for a sweet read,

This is the 2nd book in The Blue Collar Alphas Series. Screwdriver is an enemies to lovers story. It's a quick and fun read. This was my first Piper King book but definitely not my last! She has created great characters. Harper and Noah have such chemistry. There is a lot of angst and steamy hot sex. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

It has a good storyline but I thought the hero was no where near a blue collar Alpha. I think he was kind of weak. I still thought the storyline was interesting enough to keep me reading.

This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading by Piper King, and it won't be the last. This is a quick, fun, sexy, hot read. I really enjoyed this book. Everyone has had one of those people in their past that they hated but also longed to love. Noah and Harper's storyline is just one of those stories. The characters and storyline are well developed, relatable and believable. I look forward to reading more from this author. I Highly Recommend this read.

How can two people be in love with one another and at the same time hate their guts for so many years? It may seem strange but Piper makes it happen in this enjoyable book. Noah and Harper are meant for each other but previous misunderstandings have consumed their souls and owing to new circumstances , they are finally coming to terms with their love/hatred situation. They are both like a time bomb and when it explodes, nothing will ever be the same again. Beautiful characters with strong inner feelings. Besides the predictable steamy scenes what I enjoyed most was the expectation of their hot encounter. I highly recommend this book.

Noah and Harper have been at each other for years, but what was once hate turns into true love. Mix in a whole in the attic floor, electricity on the blink and squirrels in the attic and you have completed this love story. I found myself laughing while the pages flew by. This was a cute, enjoyable read.

I volunteered to review an ARC in order to provide an honest review. I was dying to read about Harper and Noah's story ever since reading Jack Hammer. It's funny how intense feelings for someone can be covered up and displayed as hatred. Great read!

Screw Driver is my first book by Piper King. When I opened it and saw it was in alternating views, first person, I was ready to delete it from the kindle. I'm so glad I decided to give it a go. While I'm not a fan of first person books, ok, I admit, I don't like them at all, Ms King managed to make it work in Screw Driver. This is a well-written book. The characters are lovable and just perfect for this story. There is plenty of drama, sizzle and what really hooked me was the humor. Hat's off to Ms King, she wrote an alternating first person book that I actually enjoyed. I look forward to reading more from Piper King in the future. Screw Driver is book 2 in the Blue Collar Alphas Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Fun story
Sweet little romance with good banter and steamy sex. Would have given it five stars but it needs a good proofreading.

Enjoyed the first half with the snappy pace. Definitely 4*s for the first half. MCs were fun with all their bickering.
Midway it got lost somewhat and pacing got a bit draggy and it got dragged down to 2*.
Overall, it was a fun and lighthearted easy read with minimal angst if that's what you are looking for.
I just wished that author took a less 'restrained' approach and continued with the snappy pace to make the book brilliant. Kind of miss the magic that was in Mother Trucker.
Liked it enough to purchase a copy.

This was another amazing book by Piper King. I loved it. It's short and sweet, and a perfect enemies to lovers story. This is the second story in the series, but is standalone to the second since it barely mentions the previous couple, and everything important is included in this book.
This story focuses on Harper and Noah. Noah is a jokester and uses that to keep people away. He's always had genuine feelings for Harper, though, and since she hated him, he argues with her to save face and get rises out of her. Harper has a barbed comment (lots of sass in her) for everything Noah says, and has no problem pushing his buttons. She's hidden her secret feelings for a long time, and it's a big surprise when things get heated. Because they do, and it's amazing and hot!! Years of history and pent-up desire will do that. And it's fun to read.
Overall, it's a short, fun book to read, and I highly recommend reading it if you like enemies to lovers stories. It's fast-paced and well-written, with few grammar mistakes, and you will be cheering for these two to make it through all the misunderstandings they've had in the past.

A lot of "awww" moments scattered throughout the instances of building sexual tension make this story just as endearing as it is exciting. Noah is a sweet hero underneath his bravado and Harper is sassy and determined. Fun story; looking forward to more!
