Willy Ronis (1910-2009) est un photographe français, lauréat du Grand Prix national de la photographie en 1979 et du prix Nadar en 1981.

Il est l’un des représentants les plus importants de la photographie humaniste française avec Édouard Boubat, Jean-Philippe Charbonnier, Robert Doisneau, Izis et Sabine Weiss. Il définit l'école humaniste comme « le regard du photographe qui aime l'être humain »

Je suis toujours autant admirative du travail de Willy Ronis, qui nous montre dans ce livre un Paris radieux. J’ai beaucoup aimé de voir Paris sous plusieurs générations allait dans années 30 aux années 2000, ainsi nous pouvons voir l’évolution de la ville et des habitant qui l’occupent. Willy Ronis a un réel don pour capturer un moment tout simple mais d’une telle façon qu’il nous semble plus beau. On voit dans ces photos tout l’amour qu’il a pu avoir pour cette ville et l’amour qu’il a aussi pour les gens.

A decent book of photographs. Not special, yet a bit more interesting than most. Interesting to see the changes in costume and expression, hence I think I use it a bit as a document. A bit suspect the omission of the World War II years. A note would have been nice, instead of just putting everything under the rug.
