Matt Cullam is a journalist—one of the best. When his longtime friend Hillary, lately married into a billionaire family, invites him to her new countryside home for a mini-vacation, Matt accepts gladly.
But when Mattt arrives, he finds that Hillary needs his help. Her new family is suffering a media scandal, and they need his journalistic savvy to help right the wrong. Unfortunately for Matt, helping them will involve close work with Hillary's new brother-in-law: the remote, difficult and commanding owner of the company, Drew Matherson.
Ever since their first meeting, Matt and Drew have hated each other. Drew is everything that infuriates Matt: selfish, privileged and opinionated, a true alpha. And Matt is everything that inflames Drew, it seems: caring, impulsive and uncompromising.
Will sexy alpha and omega manage to overcome their differences? And what will happen when the initial repulsion between Matt and Drew starts to blossom into something completely different?
Scandal, passion and power collide in an explosive combination in a story set in the sweeping majesty of the Northern Colorado countryside.
This is a stand alone story with a HEA with no cliffhangers.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This books contains mature language and explicit content, including male breeding and knotting, and is intended for audiences over 18 years of age.
I was very disappointed that the book ended not even half-way through. It's a good story and kept my interest throughout the book. I loved the relationship between Matt Cullan a journalist and Drew Matherson the billionaire.
At a wedding for Matt's best friend, Hilary, is where the man met Drew Matherson for the first time and for Matt he found Drew to be an arrogant ass. Matt didn't like him at all and the feelings were mutral with Drew.
I love it when two men that hate each other come together and start to know one another as the person they really are. For Matt and Drew it's about some trouble that brewed up over Drew's company taking away from commuities with the high-class homes they built ruining peoples lives after they finished with their project.
Hilary had invited Matt to their home for the weekend where Matt was put in the hot seat with Drew's whole family having dinner. Hilary suggested that Matt write an article about the family company, because Matt was a known journalist in the field and would come with the truth.
Matt had no idea that Drew was interested in him and soon their relationship took off in the direction both men were happy with. Of course there is more to the story. About what Matt finds out what the company left after completing their projects. And what Matt finds shows a side of Drew Matt had no idea existed. So, yeah I really enjoyed the story.
But as I said in the beginning, I was disappointed that the end came quickly and I'll be honest the bonus stories didn't make the cut with me. They were great story lines but were lacking severely in the person's writing skills. I read the first and couldn't finish the second so they are a waste of my Kindle space.
I'd leave up to the individual about deciding whether to buy or not. I gave it 4 stars for the first story, not for the bonus ones.
My biggest problem with this book is that it’s basically the same formula for every book Odin writes. The main characters meet, fall in love, have a fight over some misunderstanding and then make up.
This book ended at 33/34% I love Mpreg, I really do, but this author took advantage and gave us a really short story and called himself doing us a favor and giving us 2 "bonus" books. I wouldn't have such a big problem with this, but this information wasn't mentioned in the blurb! As a writer myself, I honestly hate to bad mouth another, but this is unacceptable!
OMG, I loved this! lol... It's different from Odin's previous stuff, There is no longer them rutting in their shifted forms, but it was so enjoyable! Steamy and intriguing! I loved it more than the others in this book! Ahh! <3
Hmm, if there's anything I didn't like It would have to be BUT... I really, really had fun reading this book! :D Haha! Definitely going to stick around and keep an eye on this author.
I really loved reading this wonderful book. I love the relationship between Drew and Matt and their happy ending. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.
Owned in Omega's Endless Lovers set. This was a cut above the author's usual work, although it mirrored Dane and Lorenzo's story in Omega and the Alpha Billionaire with journalist/businessman setup. The sex was pretty good although I am constantly amazed that the couples never use lube or have sex face to face. There was a lot of repetition of touches down the torso that leave a "trail of fire" or tingling or other sensations. The book ends in a good place but doesn't include the actual term of the pregnancy or delivery; this seems to be contained in the sequel.
