Personal note: The first book I finished in what feels like a century.

Good-good bohemian rhapsody of art and theatre crowd reminiscence. Very poignant portrait of a dear person lost (along with other things, like people caring for high culture). (Maybe Hans Pleschinski is just channeling his hero or maybe he is actually one of those guys.)

All in all, 10/10 if you’re into very readable bohemian life memoirs. It’s not just that, but it is mostly that and I am not half as articulate as the author (I can’t even type “a” on my phone on the first try).
