How many books will be in the Bregdan Chronicles? No one knows yet… Ginny intends to write these character's stories, one year at a time, for as long as she is able to write. She is passionate about bringing history to life through historical fiction. Since she is amazingly healthy, that could be for a very long time! She doesn’t like stories to end any more than you do. This one won't end for a very long time!
Review: Happy, sad & impatient (waiting for the next book)!
History you've never been taught brought forward. I've learned a lot of history from all of Ginny's books (thank you so much for sharing).
It's hard to believe these people are fictional. The story continues on in each book, a page turner you'll be reluctant to put down until you've finished reading the entire book.
Less than 24 hrs since its' release and I've finished the book. Time to start rereading the entire set again.
If you haven't read any of these books you've missed out big time. My suggestion would be just try the first book. If you're not hooked by the first chapter try one more. These books have grabbed my heart & soul from the beginning page right until the last word.
Review: I JUST FINISHED ALWAYS FORWARD.. As always reading any of the Bregdan Chronicles, I did not want to put the book down. I will read it again. I have learned so much from reading all 9 of these books. I also felt part of the main people in the book and their families. At one point I cried and cried. Right now I am going to go back and read the book again. I have so much more to learn from this book, and to enjoy reading it all over again. Thank you, GINNY DYE. I love reading, but these are the best books I have ever read. And have opened up my eyes to things I never knew.
I can't believe I have just read the 10th book in this series. I usually get tired of them by the 5th or 6th book. With the ending of each book, I count the months till the next one. I will anxiously await the 11th book and learn what life has in store for the Cromwell Plantation and all its people in the future.
Again I'm sorry to get to the end of the book! Again Ms. Dye spins a story we love. Again we learn more about the people and the times. Now we add Indians to the people we learn about and care about! It's hard to wait for #11
Great books! I couldn't stop reading until I finished all ten books! If you are interested in American History these books are a great place to start. The Author paints vivid descriptions within all her stories. The development of all the characters are woven throughout the books and makes them difficult to put down. Every book is over 500 pages but I never found that daunting. I couldn't wait to dive in and see where we were going next. If you enjoy Historical Fiction I really recommend you try The Brendan Chronicles!
I read Walking Into the Unknown in March/April. Again one of the books when you pick it up you can not put it down. All of the Brendan Chronicles are this way. They grab your attention and never let it go. Very good! Can't wait for her next book in November.
What a blessing this series is. The story and adventure is always fantastic, but it is the message you get from reading them that means so much. The love of loving and caring for each other regardless of who you are on the outside. Such sadness of how people can treat each other. I wish everyone would read all of these books! Thank you Ginny Dye for this series. I can't wait for the next book!!!
Carrie never disappoints me in her choices and undying strength to help mankind. One of my all time favorite literary characters. She inspires me to be a better person.
I have truly enjoyed this series. I love reading and learning from the history in these pages. I have laughed and cried and absolutely learned to love the characters in these books.
I never want this series to end! It just keeps getting better! I have learned so much because although the books are fiction, they are historical accurate!
I love this series and find myself waiting again for book 11 which should be published this November! Thank goodness the characters are each so memorable that I can pick up each new book when it is available and dive right in! Eagerly anticipating the next book in the series!
I just love this series. I've read all 10 books and looking forward to her newest due to in November 2017. Each book is one year beginning at the start of the Civil War
I have been waiting for this book for a year.It aS so great getting reacquainted with all the characters again.I loved how the booked aS able to pickup 4 months after the last book left us. I loved the adventure into the west and the trials of the Navajo. Am anxious to see where the next book takes us.Glad that Carrie is at peace with her loss of Robert and possibly a new future love on the horizon. I would recommend this book to all of the Bregdan chronicles fans .Looking forward to the next.EaslEy my don't make us wait so long.
Another well done book. While I enjoy the narrative of this book, I most importantly like the characters and t heir interactions. This book maintains the quality of story line as the others in this series. I highly recommend these books.
I believe this is the book where Ginny Dye starts talking about westward expansion as Carrie and a troop of her friends go west to carry medicine to the Indians...then Spring Will Come is when Carrie returns home to Virginia from this experience....if you have been reading Ginny's Civil War Series ou will like these books...I may even have them switched in order...but they are good reads.
I started reading these series of books looking for a great escape from the rhetoric of day to day life. I got so much more! I have received history lessons and the willingness to ignite a fire within to try a change things that are happening in our country today. I found myself wishing that these characters were actual real people in history. I want to meet them, have a conversation with them and stand by them in their endeavors. I have cried, laughed and supported them in each turn of their lives. Job well done in keeping us entertained and to get us thinking on what we can do as one person to help our fellow person. Thank you and keep them coming.
Another wonderful continuation of fascinating characters woven into the history of the time. Can't wait for the next book to continue the story. Anyone who likes historical fiction will be captivated by the Bregdan Chronicles
Walking Into the Unknown does not disappoint. I love how strong Carrie and the rest of her family and friends are. And, I love how they persevere! But home is where the heart is and remains! I am so sorry to reach the end of the story and cannot wait for the next book! Unfortunately, I have to wait until November!
Absolutely outstanding. These books are everything you ever wanted a book to be and more. They transport you to another time and you feel like you're part of their life. Just amazing. Sad, funny, love, hate, inspirational, uplifting, eye opening... I could go on and on. If you haven't read these books, please do! You won't be sorry!
Again, another triumph by Ms Dye! I love each of the characters and their personalities. I've learned so much about this period in our history along with the wonderful stories she weaves throughout the books. And this one was not disappointing! Eagerly await the 11th book.
I really likes this series. At times I feel a bit of cheesiness but still the characters resonate with me and the historical facts are shared in such a hopeful way makes it more memorable. I enjoyed the addition of native American history and expansion of the story. I look forward to the next book.
