Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!
I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters, a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked. I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance. I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!
Brannoc and Annie have had a rocky start to their mating. He found her whilst she was being tortured by a group of warlocks. He had to allow her time to heal amongst her bear sloth. But when her sister turns up saying Annie needs his help, Brannoc is ready for action.
Annie can't believe how long it's taken her to heal. But just as it completes she is inundated with unwanted male attention. The males in the clan are trying to usurp the sloths matriarchal line and they are not taking NO as an answer! Brannoc arrives in time to help defend Annie but this is just the start of their problems!
Great addition to the series. It was very short and I felt it could easily have been added to the previous book as an added extra bonus. The action is initially paced over a very short space of time which may not suit all readers but I was a happy bunny!
I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy of this book. Julia Mills has done it again and left me wanting more. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. The author is really knows how to write a story that grabs your attention and keeps it until the end. I cannot wait until the next story in this series is released, I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Short and rushed, it feels more like a series of info dumps rather than a story, and considering the information is supernatural in nature, it just feels silly, and oftentimes unnecessary, without any context.
Because of the rushed nature, you never really get a feeling for the characters or who they are, so you don't really care about what's going on.
Now there are glimpses here and there of plot and story and at those times the writing is great and the book enjoyable. I can really see a great story and some great writing in here, but the author seems to be more focused on keeping it short than on writing the whole story.
I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review. I have just finished reading this book and to say I'm hooked is an understatement. I am now going to have to read all the books leading up to this one. They are as advertised, all standalone books, but I'm a bit obsessive with things like this, I like to read the entire series. Kiss of her dragon hooks you from the get go, you're thrown straight into this story but it is actually a great way to start and you catch up quickly with the storyline. I loved all angles of this book not to mention the main characters, plus, this book is really easy to read and very well written, plus, I also love all things supernatural. There is a byline with this story also, so I will go with the firm belief that the other characters in this book are in the 18 previous books. The epilogue to this book hints at a number 20 which I cannot wait to read.
Brannoc, the Geeky Dragon met his mate when he was rescuing other shifters from a testing facility that the O’Baille’s (not sure that I’m spelling that right) had.
Annie, a bear shifter knew that Brannoc was her mate as he kept hanging around while she was recuperating from her ordeal; but also knew that they would be separated for awhile as she got her bearings back after being tortured & she needed to see & be with her family.
But, as fate would have it no long after Annie went back home & problems started up within her clan; Brannoc along with the help of Annie’s sister came to help her with the problems.
But, to find out what the problems are you’ll have to read the book.
Annie, a bear shifter has survived atrocious torture at the hands of dragon hunters and is rescued by Brannoc, from the Dragon Guard. Even though they know they are fated mates, Brannoc is giving her time to recuperate and heal from her harrowing ordeal when Annie’s sister comes saying his help is needed, dragging him to Annie..... The trials they are about to face could quite possibly destroy the entire clan. As always, this Author delivered another riveting installment to our beloved Dragon Guard series. Her characters are well developed and the story is loaded with ups, downs, twists, turns and everything in between. I recommend this to 18+ due to adult content.
Dragon Guardsman and geek Brannoc knows his mate is a bear shifter called Annie but has been patiently waiting for her to finish healing in her home surroundings but when he has to fight for her against other males he is up for the challenge. Can he come through it all in one piece and ensure that the fate of their species is assured?
This was a lovely story where the resident dragon guardsman geek actually had to get more into a fight that he may have wanted to. I loved the dynamic between Brannoc and Annie and the way he was woven into the ancient writings of her race. Well written and easy to understand and feel, it was very enjoyable. Contains some sexual content.

REVIEW
This is Brann's story and what a story we get. In the previous book we know Brann had scented his mate and of course she is torn because of all the abuse she withstood at the hands of those evil twins. Well she has to go back to her family. There is no other option for her. Well Brann of course will not take this lying down so what does one do? Follow her of course. And what he finds sends his Dragon into a frenzy. Annie is someone very important to her clan. But how does she get out of what is required of her? Well leave it up to her family and of course her Dragon man and boom she is doing what no other can do. What’s that? Why live her life with the man of her dreams of course.
The characters are well thought out and very relatable. The story line was different and I liked how Annie's family brought Brannoc into the sloth at just the right time. The only thing that irritated me was the use of the phrase "her dragon". In the beginning I thought that maybe she had a dragon along with her bear since they were bonded. Then a bit later I realised it was Annie talking about Brannoc. That said, it was great how Brannoc and the Elders of the Golden Bear sloth retained their integrity the entire time. It was a really good, short read.
Love this series. Although the individual stories are relatively short, they are packed full of romance, adventure and fairly fast paced, and with a thread going through all of them. It is of course best to read them chronologically, but a reader gets enough information to get on without having the feeling to miss anything. In this book, we have Bran having to fight for bear shifter Annie, and of course the wizards again, a fight for the lady, all the usual ingredients but presented in yet another different way.
Kiss of Her Dragon: Dragon Guard Series #19 By Julia Kindle unlimited purchase Annie is a bear shifter that was saved from psychopathic twins, Adam and Eve. Needing to heal she leaves her mate and goes home to the woods she grew up in, and familiar surroundings without the distractions of a mate around to complete her healing. But what awaits her on her return. Brannoc is the Dragon Guard’s resident computer expert. But when he and the rest of the Dragon Guard save kidnapped shifters from psychopathic twins he never thought one would be his mate. Now she is leaving and he doesn't know when he was going to see her again.
What another brilliant book in this fabulous series which I absolutely loved and would thoroughly recommend hoping that others enjoy it as well. Brannoc knew when he rescued Annie from where shifters were being experimented on that she was his mate but that she needed time to heal and reconnect with her family and bear. When her sister turns up he realises that his mate must need him. Once again Julia takes us on a fantastic journey so ran and enjoy the adventure and love.
INTERESTING SERIES, BUT BECAME REPETITIVE AFTER A FEW BOOKS After reading a few of these, I decided to write one review for all of them. I found these books to be pretty good, if somewhat formulaic. If a reader is looking for a good story with some drama & where the main characters go through some terrible things, but ultimately end up together, I think they will enjoy this series of books. It is sometimes nice to read a "happily ever after" story.
This book was artfully crafted and uniquely designed to pull you into the pages where secrets and fairytales live and dreams come true for those who believe!
This book was extraordinary, enchanting, enthralling and endlessly entertaining where stubbornness and determination to rise above conflict with a heart of gold and a core of steel to get to where love and happiness lives!
"Soul Mates" and "True Love", the connection we all search for. What does it mean? Julia tells us in every one of her stories, but more so in this tale. As strong as the mating pull is, our dragon "hero" does what is most difficult and let's his mate go, indefinitely, as that is in her best interest at that moment in time. For me, that is the ultimate sacrifice to make for the one you love; putting what's best for them, not you.
A female bear shifter and a male dragon shifter warrior!
A female bear shifter is rescued from a bunch of hunters where she has been tortured. A male dragon shifter warrior was helping to take out the evil hunters and scientists and to help with the rescue of all the shifters who were still alive. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. There are twists and turns in this story. Happy reading!
Fighting for your Mate Brannoc _ The Dragon Guard, has been waiting for the call from his mate intended. After helping to save her from some very sadistic…… He must now give her some time to heal both mentally and physically. So when Annie’s sister come to him, dragging him alone to an unknown location, saying his help is needed, he goes. Annie may not have called her mat to her, but she’s not totally unhappy to see him of his help. The trials the two must now face can make or break the hope of an entire clan. Well written self-contained story that’s very entertaining to read.
I have read all of this series and I have loved every single . The order of the books is jumbled at the end last 3 books I don't know what happened to 18 its missing Amazon does not have it so it jumps from 17 to 19. I strongly recommend this series it's got everything a good series should have 💞💞💞
Loved this series and this book in peticular though there needs a bit of reformating towards the end just after the mating reception where they go back to the cabin. The colors of print jumped around from color to colorfor a bit. Kind of freaky on the eyes. Just saying. Still a great story!
This is another good book in the Dragon Guard series! The only problem is it like the last book just kind of ended. To me, it felt like there should be a little more like how are they going to combine their 2 different worlds? I did enjoy the story and recommend this book and the series!
Though I have not read all the Dragon books in order this it still a great read. I loved how patient Brannon was waiting for Annie to be completely healed before claiming his mate. I loved that Annie came out of her ordeal stronger than ever. Brannon andAnnie are a good match but will their love be strong enough for the trial ahead? Thrilling story telling at its best.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Great Addition to the series! Annie is just trying to recuperate after her ordeal. ( She was kidnapped + experimented on ) The Dragon guards saved her. Brannoc knows that Annie is his mate. When Annie is well + returned to her family, of course, Brannoc follows. It is not an easy road for Brannoc + Annie, Before they can really become mates, Brannoc has to help w/ Annie win a civil war. You will have to read the book to find out about the civil war. LOL Great HEA!
The love story of Brannoc and Annie is remarkable. Saving his bear and her family was an amazing honor for this Dragon. The fight of his life and hers the excitement keeps you on the edge of your seat. And as always a true love story.
I just love bears! After healing from the torture she went through in the labs, she found love in the arms of her Dragon. But it's never that easy. Thanks Julia Mills.
I have been enjoying the entire series. The Guardsmen and their mates are pure pleasure! Start with the first book and keep going until you have read them all!
I was really trying to not write any more reviews on this series. But I'm sorry, a mating ceremony with 7 steps is even more excruciating that what she normally writes. For goodness sakes, just have the ceremony or ceremonies off page. They add nothing to the story.
Brannoc and Annie stroty us a enjoyable read that lets your motions and feeling roll threw your heart. Julia Mills books just brings you a well written complete journey that fills your heart
