Stalker

Rate this book
Some people may think I’m stalking him, but I’m not. I just like…observing, and he happens to be my favorite subject.
I like to call him Mr. X. It’s safer that way, since he’s the hottest doctor in town, and I’d turn into a laughingstock in an instant if people find out I have the audacity of even crushing on him – someone wildly successful, heartbreakingly handsome, and so dangerously charming he can seduce you into doing anything.
I’ve seen it happen one too many times, which is why I know it’s better this way.
I stalk him when I need to de-stress. Fantasize about all sorts of things, which I then write in my journal.
He’s my imaginary boyfriend, and that’s all he was supposed to be until…
The day he suddenly meets my gaze---
Talks to me---
Touches me---
And everything changes.

This is an over-the-top, completely unrealistic, 100% escapist, insta-lust and insta-love kind of story between a good girl and a bad boy. Expect hot sex, some drama and angst, funny and sweet romance, and borderline taboo fantasies come to life.

Anisia Quinn is a twenty-five year-old accountant who’s been stalking Stephen Blackmore, a cardiologist. She’s content to keep her fantasies to herself until she loses her planner/ journal one day and he’s the one to return it.

The author’s warning pretty much sums up this short story:

Warning: This is an over-the-top, completely unrealistic, 100% escapist, insta-lust and insta-love kind of story between a good girl and a bad boy. Expect hot sex, some drama and angst, funny and sweet romance, and borderline taboo fantasies come to life.

So the thing is, you mention stalking and most likely I'll read the book.
This short story between Anisia, the accountant in the hospital and her obsession- Mr X was average at the best.
The stars, whatever I've given is just because the heroine was sweet and I liked her journal entries- they were so innocent yet filled with desires.
The hero was pompous and kinda a dbag. I hated that he threw his past and experiences with other women at her- and also didn't appreciate the devotion she had for him. He basically spoiled the story for me. So annoyed by him.
Egh.
Safe with major exceptions

A very quick read.
Twenty-five year old Anisia Quinn working in accounts department of the state's largest private hospital handling patients accounts, has been admiring / researching or better yet in modern days been Stalking one hot doctor she calls Mr.X.
He fascinates her, and she calls him her imaginary boyfriend, she knows his schedule by heart, and shows up every time at the precise moment his taking his brakes, coming out of his office or just making his rounds. As an successful Cardiologist and the son of the hospital's director his name is Stephen Blackmore, but he'll be named only as Mr.X for obvious reasons.

It's a fun read, but oh so short. Things get a bit intense between these to and it's a very fast paced Romance.

This book was just ok.

I got this book on a bookfunnel giveaway and thought I’d give it a try.

It’s a short story and the idea is somewhat good but honestly I don’t think the author delivers. This needed to be more developed...

Even the stalking part was somewhat light. Ok she stalked him... at work... that’s it... not much stalking if you ask me. And the Hero was just blend and I couldn’t connect with the heroine.

You think that a story about the woman stalking the hero would be good and satisfying?
Well think again...

Anisia: How do I make my move?
Mr. X: Stalk me

My Rating: 3.5 Stars

Good thing the author put a warning on the synopsis because this book was everything she warned me about. At the same time I have to admit I found myself truly captivated by the story.

Anisia works in the accounting department of the hospital and she has a secret, she has a small obsession with the son of the hospital director. She’s always with her Hobonichi planner in hand, which is her personal diary and looking to catch a glimpse of Mr. X, as she has name him.

One day she bumps into him, looses her diary, he founds it, next thing she knows he wants to talk to her in his office and things develop into a quick, almost inta-love relationship between them.

The book was fast paced but interesting enough that kept me reading until I reached the end and I was like: Wow…

Seriously, I ended the book and got out of my Kindle App with a knowing smile on my face and my dirty mind full of sexy things that those two would be doing in the near future, probably… if they were other than character from a book *pout*

The writing didn’t have any complicated wording. You know I just can’t stand those. I can read a book with a lot of technical terms or slangs but I’m very reluctant to keep reading after a few chapters. This book had none of that and was happy for it.

The character development was there in details. Since it was a short, fast paced book there was no much room to give a huge development but it was there.

Now this is where the SPOILER ALERT it’s turned ON because I’m about to get into the things I’ve liked about Stalker by Lolita Lane and I won’t be holding my punches.

There are a few positive points that I will mention about this book.

* Mr. X makes Anisia face her fears putting her in charge of the next step in their relationship. He took the first one when he approached her, now the ball is in her court and he had a great way to give her a deadline: a hickie.
* Lolita Lane immortalized the planner loving girl in her novel. When I saw the word Hobonichi, I wanted to jump *remembers she actually did jump up and down for a few seconds on her bed* and shout to the world that the planner girls from the Hobonichi generation where present now in romance novels.
* The respect that Anisia shows for the important labor that Mr. X does a world-class cardiologist at the hospital it’s outstanding. This is a trait that I’ve not seen in many books, and I read a heck of a lot.
* Anisia is a sweet and innocent woman with a heart of gold. I love the way the author shows the intimate thoughts in a journal form, that it’s very endearing. It makes me want to protect her as a closed friend or little sister.

At last, there things I didn’t like are listed below.

* First, Anisia was too sweet. It suited her as a character in this book but at some points it was just a little too much. That said, it wasn’t a “put the book down” kind of thing.
* Second, Mr. X was an absolute asshole to Anisia near the end. Granted, he apologised to her but I really wanted to slap him more than she did for what he said.
* Third, I want to know what happens to Matt, ok?
* Last and most important… It was so freaking short!

With a title like that? I'd devour this baby in a second!!

Is it wrong that I absolutely love ridiculous stuff like this?

what-dafuq-ever!!

I enjoyed this so much.

Hello Mr.X who was a total jerk!
And ughh I loved Anisia SO MUCH!! It was refreshing to see a heroine let a hero work for it and not just give in because he is heart stoppingly handsome!

I really REALLY had alot of fun with this one!

I am gonna browse around for this author more but sadly I think Stalker was the only one that had an instant hook!

Write more like these,woman!!
