I was hoping this would have more useful, detailed information on the trails and hikes in the parks, but it is mainly a history of Indiana’s state parks more than a “guide.” Still interesting to read how each state park originated or was incorporated into the existing state park system. Misleading title, should have been A Complete History of Indiana’s State Parks, but I’m sure the publisher realized it would not sell nearly as well if potential readers/buyers recognized this.

Need an updated edition. In Dunes is still a state park in this publication.

Great background info on each park, with lots of color photographs, brief descriptions of what's available in each location, number of trails with difficulty ratings.

Great for those who love adventure and the outdoors.
