Doomed to spend his time alone in a castle because of the terrible tantrums he throws, Vladimir the vampire wants more than anything to be able to fly.
Let it be said that I am emphatically not this book's target audience, as it is a children's picture book and I have not been a children for some time. That said, I'm a big fan of Deborah Noyes--both as a writer and as an editor--and I figured I'd read a cute picture book about a little kid vampire if she wrote it. And it was pretty cute, with special bonus points for things like Vladimir saying "Flapdoodle!" and vampires being "deathly afraid of the sun, as it makes puddles of them."
