Edgar "Injap" Sia II is best known for being the man behind Mang Inasal, one of the most successful local brands in modern business history. Now with his new venture, DoubleDragon Properties, Injap continues to be an inspirational figure for many. "Whatever achievements and success I've had didn't happen overnight," he writes. "It is a product of guidance, hard work, careful planning, and intense and passionate execution for many years."
From his family's humble beginnings, through his days as a young entrepreneur trying out a series of businesses, and then on to his current status as the Philippines' youngest dollar billionaire, Injap has gleaned many lessons while traveling the road to success. Through it all, he's held on to the same values that have been instilled in him from the very beginning. "I believe you can be successful in whatever you do, if you do things fair and square. My life so far, and the way that I have been blessed with success, is proof that you don't have to trade in your values to achieve great things."
Edgar "Injap" J. Sia II (born 1977) is a Filipino businessman. Sia is the chairman of DoubleDragon Properties (and co-owner with billionaire Tony Tan Caktiong), and the founder of the Mang Inasal fast food restaurant chain.

Early life
Sia was born in Iloilo City in 1977 and grew up in Roxas City, the eldest of three siblings. He was nicknamed "Injap", a portmanteau of "Intsik" (the Filipino pejorative for a Chinese person) and "Japanese"; as his father, Edgar Sr., is half Chinese, while his mother, the former Pacita Jaruda, is half Japanese.
Sia had planned to become an architect, but dropped out of the University of San Agustin to start a business career.

In 2009, Sia founded Injap Land Corporation (now DoubleDragon Properties Corporation), developer of CityMall chain of malls . In 2014, DoubleDragon Properties became a public company. DoubleDragon has been developing commercial and residential properties and reportedly plans to build 100 malls by 2020. In August 2016, the company announced it was acquiring a majority stake in Hotel of Asia, Inc.

Sia is married with two children and lives in the Philippines.
Reading the book is inspiring and stirs the enterpreneur in you. The discipline Injap has is admirable and his feat is incomparable.
Injap shares his A-mazing story of trials and triumphs. Not only has it inspired me but it has jolted something in me to get up and get going with my goals.
Life Principles by Injap Sia is an amazing book that will awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in you. It narrates the story of how Mr. Sia started on his journey to building, growing and then selling Mang Inasal. From his boyhood years to his current position as CEO of DoubleDragon, Mr. Sia tells us the principles he lived by, a few tips on how to conduct business, and how to enjoy life despite the challenges of being an entrepreneur. It's a short read, but full of wisdom and advice that will help you in your path to entrepreneurial success. It's nice to read from time to time to motivate yourself as you face the trials and challenges of building and growing a business. This book will not tell you how to run a business or to manage people or some other business matters (there are many books for that), but for a jolt of inspiration, this is a no-brainer. If you're an entrepreneur or still planning to become one, go ahead and grab a copy. It will lit a fire in you that will serve you well in your journey to success. Good luck!
It had a lot of great moments but this was my favorite quote:
"I always remind myself that I'm here for a mission and it keeps me grounded."
Simple, no fluff. Nice insight to reflect on as I go through your own entrepreneurial journey. I recommend this book for any current or aspiring business owner.
This book will let you see what is the journey of Injap Sia be like, his thought process and principles towards his success. not only that, while making progress and leaping high it keeps your feet grounded. Fun and easy to read with historical visuals to share. Worthy of your time to know the life of one of the best businessman in the Philippines
When you want something, all the universe conspires to help you achieve it.” — Paulo Coelho
I could see that it was like other aspects of creation, and had its own passions and wars. It is we who nourish the Soul of the World, and the world we live in will be either better or worse, depending on whether we become better or worse. And that’s where the power of love comes in. Because when we love, we always strive to become better than we are.”
Picked this book up in National Bookstore last month and wondered what was so great about this guy anyways? Ask that question to a business man's almost biography and watch it slap you back in the face with "Life Principles". How easy is it these days to be rich and famous? Just post a scandalous video in social media or hey, keep streaming your personal life for the world to see. Ok maybe that was a bit harsh, there are some talented people out there amidst the sea of snaps and selfies. Injap Sia goes old school in this book, he brings us back to his roots and what it takes to setup a business when money isn't available or when odds were against you since before you were born. Timing, strategy, core values and character are the essence of this book. I'd like to carry some (if not all) of these lessons in my own life.
