I spontaneously picked up this German poetry collection by award winning Silke Scheuermann because on the Wikipedia page for Martha, the last ever passenger pigeon before her kind's extinction, it said that Scheuerman wrote a poem about her.
The collection overall definitely had some bits and pieces that I liked quite a lot, but I could never really flow with the bumpy rhythm and structure of the writing.
