Interesting

This was an interesting and broad overview of basic survivalist tactics and gear. The author isn't anywhere near as funny as he thinks he is, though.

Very funny yet practical guide. Easy read with reasonable checklists.

If you follow the advice you will be so far ahead curve in most dicey situations.

Would definitely suggest going through the book at least twice. Once to get a good overview of the material and suggestions. Then with the goal of making lists / checklists. Some things are specialized and can be pricey but the vast majority are either already in your garage or can be picked up easily. The trick is to do it.

A written version of the fun filled, irreverent and fact filled podcast of the Casual Preppers. Common sense items with serious intent that we need to focus on.

Great step into a life saving direction

While I enjoy the podcast immensely, the book has some great “brass tacks” topics that are a must learn for all.

This is one of the best preparedness books that I have read and I have read a lot. It's well written, informative and hilarious. It's a book to keep on your device. It's a book to take notes from. It convinced me that subscribing to the podcast would be worthwhile (and it is). Everyone needs to read this book

A very good start to prepping. An overview, which gives a great insight on things that one needs to investigate further. If you're looking for all the answers, this book won't give it to you, if your looking for inspiration and direction this is a great book. The author has a writing style that helps understanding as well as entertains! :)

Not a bad book at all. Humorous and written with a light-hearted tone. Contains all the information that a novice prepper will need to begin becoming more prepared for an emergency.

Fun and informative read

Some good reminders about basic preparedness. It's nice to read a book where they realize these skills are needed for basic everyday types of emergencies.
