The couple: Raven and Creed
Romance genre: age gap
Part of a series: no
Length: 118 pages
Plot: Raven's parents are in an accident and are both killed, so her Uncle Creed takes custody of her. Except he's not really her uncle; he was her dad's foster brother. And he's the man Raven's had a crush on forever. She thought she might be over it, but having to be near him all the time proves that wrong. What she doesn't know, though, is that he's having feelings for her also, and once she turns 18, it's on. Except...he's a bit of a stalker. He has his entire apartment wired; when he leaves, he can control everything, including the TV, the electronics, the alarm, the doors. He is connected into her phone, so he can see where she is and who she's talking to. He's even hooked into the cameras at her school, so he can see her when she's at archery practice. He finally comes home from his last overseas mission (military), but Raven thinks that he doesn't want her because he kinda blew her off for a few days. They work out that misunderstanding and get together.
Character development: Raven is pretty much a teenager in every way possible, which is actually ice - she acts her age, in general. She's mature and she's also suffered the trauma of losing her parents. Creed, on the other hand, is - I don't know, exactly. He's definitely jealous/possessive (OTT!), but I don't see what's so great about him. It always makes me laugh when a grown man wants to intimidate and fight a teenage boy so he can claim "his woman."
Grammar/formatting: So many errors! This book needs a really thorough edit/revision session. There are many, many errors, including missing or unnecessary commas, incorrect verb tense, incorrect words (commonly confused and otherwise), misspellings, and more.
Would I read more from this author/in this series: no - I liked the idea of the story, but the grammar issues turned me off
