**Listened on Audible** This story started out strong and finished strong for me. I loved how the author portrayed Cassie as a detective but also as a human. A lot of books make them seem infallible but Cassie had her faults and while I was screaming at her in some parts, I was cheering also because she acted like a real person would. The chemistry between Cassie and Mike was great right from the beginning! I loved the buildup all the way to the HEA. The overall character development was wonderful. Coming from a small town, I love reading stories that take place in small towns and this hit the spot.
