PART ONE OF THE OBSESSION SERIES (PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS THE BLACK LETTERS SERIES) Grand Rapids was my saving grace. My new job and my best friend kept me grounded, and far away from my past. This was my new life. And I was safe. But then I was transferred to Miami where I began working with Mitch Conklin, the site manager. He was sexy as sin, and irritating as hell. He drove me crazy, but I couldn't deny the chemistry. He was begging for me to take his bait, and I wanted to... Until he found me. My heart raced... My palms began to sweat... And the air was stolen from my lungs. -Brooke Page not only delivers a suspenseful, erotic tale, but balances it incredibly well with a refreshing amount of humor and heart break. I'm excited for book 2, eager to discover what's next for Mitch and Jamie.- -USA Today & New York Times Bestselling Author Angela Graham -Hide by Brooke Page is a great example of what romantic suspense should be. The plot is intriguing, keeping you on the edge of your seat, while also giving you two main characters that you know will be great together. This story had me furiously flipping the pages, needing to know what was going to happen next, and I'm still dying to know. This is a great read that I'd definitely recommend.-- Amazon Bestselling Author Isabel Lucero -If you enjoy your Romantic Suspense novels with a little sass, a lot of heat, and plenty of twists, Hide is for you.-- Sara Mack - I knew from her first book that she was an extremely gifted story teller, but I've got to say that she grabbed me hook, line and sinker from cover to cover with this one. This book is Romantic Suspense at its finest. Not to mention all of the sassy wit, loving romance and smoldering passion between the two main characters.-- Hooker Heels Book Blog -The suspense in this book was well written. As a reader you were captured in the moment and the need to know what had happened to lead everyone to where they were. The way that Brooke wove the story of Jamie's past through what was happening in the present grabbed me throughout the entire book.- Red Hot Romance

Holy Cliffhanger Batman! And the next book won't be out until November?!!?!?!?!?! This book sets up a great suspense story. You know something will happen eventually, but you, like Jamie, are on edge waiting for it. The tension created is great. Simultaneously you are finding out what happened in the past, seeing Jamie develop feelings for Mitch, and deal with her stalker. Its very well written and once you start, you won't stop reading. Then, when you get to the end, you will throw something or threaten the author to get the next book out sooner. Not that I did either of those things....(My apologies to my wall and Brooke!)
So, if you like romantic suspense, this is the perfect book to grab. Just be prepared for a MASSIVE cliffhanger. I can't stress that enough. MASSIVE!

If you have read Conklin’s Trilogy you know all about the Conklin men. Well this is Mitch's & Jamie’s story and let me say I love it and can’t get enough. Mitch is not only super funny where I was laughing tons but he also has a sweet side you wouldn’t have expected out of him. Jamie is her stubborn self where won’t let people in and fears her past. Well now we know why her past haunts her and why she pushes the ones she cares about away. You get the whole gang in this book and it's like no other. I was gasping at parts and just couldn’t believe what was happening. One of my top reads this year. I can’t wait till she has the 2nd book out.

Jamie has worked hard to escape from a traumatic past, and is now doing a job she loves and has the support of friends she cares about. She isn't about to open her heart to anyone, but she can't deny her growing attraction to the brother of her close friend, and co-worker, Mitch. Just as she is reevaluating her ability to let someone in again, a threat from her past makes it clear that will not be possible for her.

Even though I got irritated with Jamie and her choices at times, there was no denying the real level of danger she was faced with, or how she came to be so guarded. It was frustrating that she felt she couldn't let anyone know what was going on in her life when the danger returned. At first, it was easy to see how Mitch could be obnoxious, but he grew on me fast! Learning that someone is more than they seem to be is a rewarding experience, and I found myself really hoping things would work out not only for Jamie, but for Mitch as well. Their sexual chemistry is definitely hot, and the way he tries to make sure she feels safe with him is very endearing. We are left with a heck of a cliff-hanger, and it will be difficult to wait for the next installment to find out what happens next. 3.5 stars

Mitch and Jamie needed a story and this is theirs and it's a juicy one. Mitch is the youngest Conklin brother and his 2 older brothers think he is a drug user and supplier in their buildings. Little do they know that his brothers are wrong. Mitch has a side to him that no one knows and he wants to keep it that way let his brothers think what they want to is what he says. Jamie is Becca's BFF and runs their Miami office. But she has a secret and it's a deadly one. Jamie's past will not let her be no matter how much she tries to move on she's not able to. When Mitch and Jamies attraction hits an all time high will she take the plunge or will she walk away to save the people she loves from a psycho that won't leave her alone?

I stumbled upon this book by chance. I'd never read Brooke Paige before, her Blurb just pulled me in. I'm impressed that the plot was so engaging, I just couldn't put it down.
Her hero, Mitch Conklin is a cheeky, forever flirt who pokes his employee Jamie Rae and bombards her with cheesy pick up lines in office fun.
Because the sizzle, the spark is there.
Mitch knows it, Jamie denies it but both can't negate it. Jamie is running scared from her stalker and doesn't want anybody getting hurt as collateral damage.
Mitch is a constructor, he adds bricks and tries to deconstruct the wall around Jamie's heart.
It's a tough job and Mitch with his boyish charm and twinkling eye is the perfect man for teh job.
Book ends in a Cliffie but I'm already on book two.

*I received a free copy from the author for my honest opinion*

My honest opinion is that I loved it! I couldn't put the book down! I read the book almost in one day! I loved the story line, the writing, and the characters. I enjoyed the dialogue and the friendships in the book. And, of course, even though Mitch was a perv sometimes, I loved him.

I can't wait to read more!!!

It is when I read books like this that I remember why I like Romantic Suspense so much. I also wonder why I don't read it more often. Brooke did an excellent job in melding the mystery and suspense with ultra thick and hot sexual tension. Wow...that prologue really captured my attention. From the first couple of pages of this book I was hooked, wanting to know what would come from what transpired in those first couple of pages. As with any good romantic suspense, I was intrigued and had a need to know more.

Despite having close relationships with the Conklin men and her best friend Becca, Jamie has a secret that she is too ashamed to share. It is a secret that has gotten her and those that she loved in dire trouble in the past. It is for this reason she fights against having any close relationships, especially with a man that she is attracted to. That is until the constant flirting and innuendo with Mitch Conklin takes a turn towards something more.

Mitch Conklin has always been seen as the trouble maker of the 3 Conklin brothers. It is for this reason that his brothers decided he needed a change and moved him to their Miami office. But now he is working in close quarter's with Jamie. And this has him questioning if he wants to continue his playboy ways or finally take a chance on something more and possibly settle down. Can the two of them continue to ignore the sexual attraction to maintain their secrets, or will it all come to an explosive and sexually charged head?

I have to say that I really, really enjoyed Mitch's witty banter throughout this book. It made for a stark contrast to the suspense aspect and broke up some of the angst. There were moments when I was rolling my eyes it was so cheesy - but I loved every single moment of it. It was refreshing having a main male character that wasn't so brooding, even though he had the arrogance bit down pat. Brooke did an excellent job at drawing me into how he felt and making me empathize with him. Of course some of his actions were douchery, but it was not so over the top that it took away from the core of who he was.

Without a doubt there were stages of this book that I found it hard to be sympathetic to Jamie's character. There were instances where her actions left me scratching my head because she did such an abrupt about face. I understand that she had her reasons for acting this way but it made it hard for me to connect with her character enough to be completely sympathetic with her plight. And I guess the way that when I felt she used Nathan just knocked me a bit off kilter. Yet in saying that, as I understood her plight a bit more I did come around. There were moments when she was so sweet and not caught up in herself that I forgot that she annoyed me.

Brooke did an excellent job of building the crackling sexual tension between Jamie and Mitch. I loved the way that it progressed between these two where they fought against what they were feeling until it was impossible to ignore. And when they did finally come together it was explosive and hot.

The suspense in this book was well written. As a reader you were captured in the moment and the need to know what had happened to lead everyone to where they were. The way that Brooke wove the story of Jamie's past through what was happening in the present grabbed me throughout the entire book. I found myself hooked and wanting to know why Jamie acted the way that she did. I was enthralled as the story unwound and I got more involved in her past.

GAH...the ending...I now eagerly await for book 2 in November.

This book had everything that you would expect in a romantic suspense. Brooke Page had me hooked on the storyline and championing for the main characters the entire book. I recommend this book to all lovers of romantic suspense with moments of steam and great wit and banter.

Hide is part one in The Black Letter Series.
It is a spin off from The Conklin's Trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone.

I gave this book 5 stars.

This is Mitch and Jamie's story.

This book was explosive! It has everything you would want in a story. Suspense, humor, love, and HOT steamy sex scenes. From page one of this book I was hooked and couldn't stop turning the pages. I knew these characters from the previous series, but Brooke made them so fresh and new that even if you haven't read the first books you are going to love them. There is major chemistry between these two. I think it took them the longest to see it. Jamie is stubborn and would have bet her life that she was not attracted to Mitch. Mitch knew from the moment he laid his eyes on her that she was his and it was meant to be. He is funny, quirky and full of sarcastic remarks. These traits make him even more attractive. He has this way of presenting himself that makes you believe that he doesn't have a heart. That he's a stuck up play boy that does what he wants when he wants. Mitch is so not that guy. He is sweet and loving and you just have to look past the big old wall he has up. He's tired of nobody believing in him, of thinking that he is a joke. He has overcome a lot in his life and just wants to be accepted.

Jamie has been through a lot as well and has a very dangerous man (stalker) that wants nothing more then to have her all to himself. She feels safe for once in her life, and then the letters start to arrive and all of that goes flying away. She is scared and always looking over her shoulder for something to happen. Mitch makes her feel safe, he gives her a sense of security that she hasn't felt EVER. This ends on a cliff hanger, but the next book should be out in a few months. I got to the end of this book and actually screamed "NO, are you kidding me???" I was sitting there staring into dead air thinking I didn't just read the last page.

Brooke has outdown herself! She is an author that I have seen grow between book one of her first series to book one of this series. She has lept into the limelight. Watch out for her she is going places. You don't want to miss this author! I enjoyed this book even more then I enjoyed her other work, and that is saying a lot. Mitch and Jamie are one of the best couples I have read this year and I am sure will always be one of my favorites.. Thank you for sharing your work with us! <3

This book was so freaking intense and has left me breathless. People get hurt, lives are threatened, it's like a roller coaster . I mean, this book has left me baffled. This book's intensity took me to a whole new level when it comes to reading this genre. I just found myself hooked from beginning to end and these types of books are the best because you know that they are just that good.

Mitch is the youngest Conklin brother. He is arrogant, self-centered and all he cares about is himself. He never takes a woman seriously but the one thing he is good at is his job. He tends to flirt with Jamie non-stop and she is just plain irritated by him. But the more he flirts and the more time she tends to spend with him, she starts realizing that Mitch really isn't that bad of a person as she assumed he was. He can be annoying and irritating but deep down inside he knows how to make her laugh and entertain her. He has won her over.

Jamie has been hiding and by hiding I mean, she's hiding from her past. She throws all her time to her work and tries to keep all men at a distance because she's afraid that her past will come back and continue tormenting her. True to her word, she starts receiving letters making her more nervous knowing that he has found her and is keeping an eye on her.

Mitch and Jamie take on a relationship even though she's afraid that he might get hurt because of her. But then she realized that she can't hide forever. She is determined to confront her past if it comes down to that and she wants to make whatever it is that she has with Mitch work because he's the first guy in a long time to make her feel again.

Mitch and Jamie are damn good together and I am so proud of her. She has finally found the courage to stand up for what she wants and is not afraid to confront this shadow that has been tormenting her for so long. But there were consequences that came along with her bravery and now we have to wait for the next installment to find out what in the world is going to happen with Jamie and Mitch.

This book really was worth my time to read -- 5 stars all the way!

This is my first book to read by Brooke Page and let me just say I’m a fan for life! I love your writing style and your characters. I was able to connect with each of them and I’m hanging on by a thread here for the next book!

Jamie is living in Miami with her best friend/boss Nathan. Let me take a minute to say I LOVE their friendship. I love how they get each other. He is awesome! So Nathan has a younger brother Mitch who works with them as a contractor. He is funny, rugged, sexy and has some cheesy pick-up lines he loves to tease Jamie with. He is very persistent when he wants something and he wants Jamie. They are both VERY sexually attracted to one another but Jamie tries to stay away from him because she knows her body will betray her. You see Jamie is a strong and very brave woman. She has a secret that her bestfriend Nathan doesn’t even know. She has a very heartbreaking past. She knows if she gets too close to someone that it only ends up bad. VERY bad!

As time passes Jamie and Mitch can’t stop the attraction and the connection there is between them. He shows her things and makes her feel things that scare her but also make her feel complete. I need to say that when these two got together it was so f*cking hot! They both love to be in charge! It was off the charts hot! Just when my heart is happy and I’m loving where things are going, little black letters show up and send Jamie’s world in a tailspin.

This storyline was very addictive and I was hooked. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. Then the ending happened and I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers. I love them because it makes me wanting more and I will stalk the author for when the next book comes out. LOL!!! But I hate them because I HAVE to know right NOW what the hell is going to happen and I’m VERY impatient! So yes it ends on a cliffy but please do not let that sway you from experiencing an emotional, funny, sexy, hot, suspenseful, gut wrenching story! I highly recommend this series.

I have finished my review and posted it to day on amazon and goodreads and here is a copy for you This is the first time reading anything by this author and I'm happy I read this book .The book by Author Brooke Page is called Hide and wow it is super exciting you all will love to read . This book has a little bit of mystery, some charm and some intermitted humor ,but I found that there was a unyielding sense of some wick ways to come. As I was getting to know and understand Jamie. I find she lives the quite and the uncharmed life, but she also managed to make something of herself .Jamie has this thrive career and two super best friends that no money in the world could buy. And that is Becca and Nathan 'I really loved her relationship she and Nathan have. It's light, happy, and easy and rooted unconditional love between friends. She moved from a very troubled past to setting in to a future that she always wanted for herself. But all of a sudden her happy life falls to pieces something from her past has find her she has no idea how that happened. And she has no idea what to do about it. But she has found the one thing that she ever though she find and that is Mitch. Mitch is the sweet ,misunderstood youngest Cronklin brother .He's a free spirit with a heart of gold and looks to kill for. I loved the way that Jamie just stepped up and in to help him out' That was the sweetest side of her , it was that take no prisoners attitude that I liked about Jamie. Mitch's biggest worry was that he may be in over his head with Jamie but will do anything he can to win her over. I could go on and tell you what happened between Jamie and Mitch next ,but that isn't going to happen sorry .That would spoiler the story for you all ,so pick up a copy and read it and enjoy you won't be disappointed in anyway.

It’s all fun and games, until someone doesn’t listen to the rules

Grand Rapids was my saving grace. My new job and my best friend kept me grounded, and far away from my past.
This was my new life.
And I was safe.

But then I was transferred to Miami where I began working with Mitch Conklin, the site manager. He was sexy as sin, and irritating as hell. He drove me crazy, but I couldn’t deny the chemistry. He was begging for me to take his bait, and I wanted to…
Until he found me. (Amazon Blurb)

At best, the beginning of a relation can be awkward while partners get to know each other – then it goes one of two ways: the breakup or more dates. What happens when one of the two refuses to accept the breakup? I shudder to think what Jaime is going through: her thoughts, her frights, her actions and especially the impact that Rod has had on her life and will have! We all hope we don’t become that crazy ex described in Carrie Underwood’s song when they find out her boyfriend cheated on her, or even the facebook stalking, or, I’ll admit to laughing and shaking my head in wonderment, being sued for breaking and entering, vandalism or assault, ending up in front of a judge such as Judge Judy. Every page more thrilling than the next, HIDE: part one is a two part series ending in a surprising cliffhanger, it is important to understand some parts of the novel are from Jaime’s point of view and other’s from the stalker’s point of view – why i mention it? I love to read, but holy buckets, there were times I couldn’t follow what was happening, but once I did, it blew my mind (for those doubting my capacity of understanding things quickly, don’t ;) ) Brooke Page is an amazing author and one who will only get better as her series get published and her characters determined to become household names!

What can I say about Hide? Holy rollercoaster of emotions, Batman! One minute you're frustrated, the next you're teary, and then the next your pulse is racing. Hide will make you want to throw your Kindle, pick it up, and then try to crawl inside to soothe the characters.

Jamie's past is heart-wrenching. I enjoyed the past/present flip of the chapters; never once was I lost or confused (which sometimes happens when authors play with time). Since I knew Mitch was Jamie's love interest, I couldn't wait for them to get together. Their back and forth banter was cute, but in the back of my mind I was shouting, "Work it out, already!" I had a soft spot for Mitch immediately, and it only grew with each veiled insult hurled at him by his brothers and, occasionally, Jamie. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, and when they do "connect", it's worth the wait. Ms. Page knows how to write a steamy scene ;)

I knew Hide was classified as romantic suspense, but I didn't know how suspenseful it would be. Let me just say WOW. Every time one of those black letters appeared, my stomach sank right along with Jamie's. Thankfully the author gives us plenty of backstory throughout the novel as to who is behind the letters and why . Brooke gives you plenty of reasons to love her characters, even the secondary ones, so when the ending of Hide comes WHAM! Right in the feels. Trust me, my ARC notes at the end were full of !!!! and "Blankety-Blank better be okay!"

If you enjoy your love stories with a little sass, a lot of heat, and plenty of twists, Hide is for you. Now, while we wait for the second installment, let's all cross our fingers and say a prayer for Blankety-Blank. And no, it's not who you think it is ;)

Mitch and Jamie in part one of Hide: The Black Letter Series is intense! Jumping into this book for me was a little hard to follow at first. The story follows Jamie as she works for Nathan Conklin, and his successful construction company. We get flash backs into Jamie's past as a teenager growing up and her first love, Rod. Throughout the book we get to see that like most first loves, this one won't last either. Jamie is deceived and manipulated by him. Seven years after getting away from him, she begins receiving threatening and vulgar letters from him, in a black envelope. The letters appear in her home, place of work and other places she doesn’t understand how he gained access to get too. He has followed her and won't stop until her gets her back, one way or another. Throughout her journey in part one of this series, Jamie begins a work office affair with Nathan brother, Mitch. The two flirt and she turns him down time and time again not willing to admit she is interested in anything with him, until one day it all she stops turning him down. That is, until Rod reappears and threatens everything Jamie has! She must make a decision to keep Mitch safe and obey Rods commands, or chance what her heart feels for Mitch. This book has some really steamy scenes and a few twisted scenes that were hard to read. If you have a history of being in a violent or abusive relationship, some of the content might bother you. Other than that, this is a great start to their story and I was left with such a cliffhanger I might have to start bugging the author to get the next part out asap. If you enjoy good romances with twists and dark secrets, this series is for you!

HIDE (The Black Letter Series Part One) by Brooke Page
Review done by Cassandra Brooker for Cassandra’s Reviews
10 stars!

Black letters start arriving for Jaime, one sentence written in white in perfect script. It shakes her to her core because it brings up bad memories. How do you fight off someone who is like a ghost sending black letters to you no matter how they get them to you?

This is a book that grips you from the start with Jaime who is confident and has a great job with her best friend Nathan.
We meet the Conklin Brothers in this series and yes they have their own series but there is more. Mitch Conklin is super yummy and my kind of guy who would rather wear jeans and a t-shirt instead of a suit like his brother Nathan.

You learn of Jaime’s past which for me I can relate to. There are things that you may ask yourself why Jamie did what she did at young age but I know most of us do dumb stuff and are naïve at that age.
Jaime’s past comes and haunts her. A mystery person finding out where she lives and works and seeing who she is with all the time.
It hasn’t happened for a year and now the letters are starting again, what will happen to Jaime? Will she tell anyone the real truth?

What will happen with the Conklin brothers she works for?

I highly recommend you get this book to follow Jaime and Mitch in a whirlwind of hot and cold plus black letters that arrive. It will draw you in and you will not be able to put it down! I read this book in a day.

I am so freaking mad at you Brooke Page. What in the ever loving he'll have you done to me. Here is a man I hated in the Conklin trilogy. yes Mitch, I hated him. And now I'm over here all hot for construction man. I mean, you figure there's always more to the story when it comes from you, but this... This!?!? I didn't expect this.

And Jamie. Jay Jay Jay. I don't know how. What. Just. Yeah. I love her relationship with Nathan. It was like the epitome of the saying "there's no safer place for a woman to sleep than in a gay mans bed". And her reaction to Mmmmmmmitch. So hot. Jesus those two burn up the sheets. And pages. Wowza.

I went into this book having a feeling I was gonna love it. If you've read the last book in The Conklin trilogy you just know Brooke's going to continue to mesmerize us with what she puts out. She didn't disappoint me with this one. I think everything was fabulous. From the flashbacks to the fear, to the sinful attraction with Mitch, and the perfect best friend in Nathan.

Until the end. It was all hot and heavy, and wordy perfection until now. Now I've had a bucket of ice dropped on my lap, Carrie style. I feel like I'm going to rage like she did. How can you do this to us!!?! Now I am not so much a fan of Brooke and her damn cliffhangers. Gah! I am temporarily breaking up with you Brooke, until I get more Mitch, Jay AND Nathan.

HIDE is Jamie's book. We first met Jamie in The Conklin's Trilogy, she is Becca's best friend. You do not have to read those books first to understand what is going on in this one. If you haven't, I would recommend reading that trilogy sometime in the near future. It is a great one!

Jamie's job transfers her to Miami where she begins working with Mitch Conklin. Mitch doesn't hide the fact that he's in to Jamie. Jamie is trying to deny the fact that she is attracted to Mitch.

If you were to look at Jamie, you would think her life is perfect. She has a great job, wonderful friends, and is loved by everyone. But things aren't always what they seem. Jamie has a secret. A deep dark secret that has came back from the past to threaten her once again. Now no one is safe!

Brooke Page really hit it out of the park with this one. I loved her writing in The Conklin's Trilogy. This book is completely different. Definitely not what I expected, but I loved every single minute of it! I laughed, I cried, I was totally swooning over Mitch! With an ending that left me begging for more. I really can't wait to see what happens next!

I loved Conklin's Trilogy, this however is NOT that. This is way better! I haven't read a book this good in a long time. The banter between Jamie and Mitch was great, that's one of the things I like best in books. The sexual tension was through the roof, I was begging Jamie for Mitch! Mitch is more than what meets the eye, and I was cheering for him the whole time. There's suspense, laughter, sadness, and a whole lot of love! HIDE takes you from one emotion to the next in just a few sentences. I love the relationship that Jamie and Nathan have, it makes me jealous and want a friend like that! Jamie has been hiding something from everyone for so long and I just want her to be happy, to have someone to confide in, and keep her safe. I also want someone to rip the male part right off of the jackass in this book! Brooke Page really outdid herself with this story, I connected with each character, I felt her heart and soul in every word. SEEK is going to be epic, especially after reading this book, the story can only get better! Hands down one of the best books I've read all year! Great job Brooke! I wish I could give this book 10 stars!!

Oh how I have missed my Conklin boys. Yes, I will admit while everyone thought that Mitch was a complete imbecile in the other books, I always had a soft spot in my heart for him and after reading his and Jamie’s story I am even more smitten with the adorably, sexy talking, construction chap. I mean come on ladies, what woman doesn’t love a man that knows how to use his hands? ;) All adorableness and drooling aside, I never had any doubts about Brooke’s writing but I am still blown away at how it has evolved. I knew from her first book that she was an extremely gifted story teller, but I’ve got to say that she grabbed me hook, line and sinker from cover to cover with this one. This book is Romantic Suspense at its finest. Not to mention all of the sassy wit, loving romance and smoldering passion between the two main characters. I could go on and on about the chemistry between Mitch and Jamie, but why don’t we keep this one spoiler free. However, I will warn you. Brooke will literally punch you in the lady bits with that ending, but isn’t that what all of the best authors do?

Jamie and Mitch. You just knew reading the Conklin Trilogy the there was going to be something explosive between these two and WOW talk about now just crazy chemestry (even when Jamie is trying to deny it) but the story also takes you on a journey with so many twists and turns you never know what will happen next!

Jamie is strong and assertive on the outside, but inside she has been hiding for so long it's hard to let go of certain things.

Mitch is cocky and arrogant like all the Conklin guys, but he's also pretty sweet and adorable once you get to know him. Seeing him through Jamies eyes you really get to see a different side to him throughout this one.

They both have secrets they are hiding, but Jamies are truely the mind f**ks of the season and you just never know what truths will be revealed about her next. Not only do you get glimpses of her past in chapters from when she was 17/18, but when she is thinking about it do you learn things too.

And now for the WORST part...... :( a cliffhanger that makes it so I can't wait to see how it ends!

A spin off from the Conklin series we have Jamie's story, Becca's BFF. She's living in Miami working for the Conklin's and battling her inner desire to be with Mitch. As the youngest of the three brothers he gets to let loose and be the hot contractor, not stuck wearing a suit running the business. Jamie has a past that doesn't want to be in the past, an ex-lover that stalks her. While I was proud of Jamie for continuing to live her normal life while receiving these letters part of me was upset with her actions. The story is easy to get caught up in and the love/hate relationship between Mitch and Jamie is exciting. If you have not read the Conklin trilogy that's fine, this series is a separate story with interwoven characters and you will not be lost. Thanks to Ms. Page for my review copy so I could leave my honest review.

Hide, runs parallel with Conklin's Corruption and gives you a whole new perspective on the secondary characters from the Conklin Trilogy.

At a young age, Jamie found herself in an abusive relationship. Now she fiercely guards her heart and has an overwhelming need to protect the men in her life from a secret from her past.

Mitch Conklin and his sexy as hell Conklin smirk, is used to getting what he wants, and what he wants is Jamie.

Brooke Page did an amazing job of intermingling a new story line with her already established Conklin Trilogy. Hide is a definite must read. Can't wait to read more of The Black Letters Series!

I thought the Conklin Trilogy was amazing, but Brooke totally outdid herself with Hide. Oh WOW! I was hooked from page one, and read it all in a matter of hours. Jamie's hurt made me hurt. She deserves good after all that's happened to her. Mitch, well, he's Mitch, and extremely domineering. I loved the relationship they had, even if she didn't want to admit her feelings, he knew all along how she felt. I am ready for Seek, like right now. Brooke has amazing talent, if her first three books didn't prove that, then Hide definitely did.

Omg, this book had me on the edge of my seat from the very first word up until the last. I instantly purchased the first 3 book series, Clonkin's Blueprint's (also very highly recommended),in which we were first introduced to all of these amazing characters. Yes, Hide leaves you with such a scary cliffhanger but this is still a book that I not only highly recommend but it's also one that I am very impatiently waiting to find out how the rest of the story will go.

No pun intended, but I am OBSESSED with this book. I have found my new book boyfriend. Mitch is everything. Anywhooo, this story had my attention and had me hooked on the very first page. It is easy to fall in love with the characters and the author really makes you wonder. What is Jay hiding? Who did she lose? What has happened in her past? This book is the perfect ratio of romance, to thriller, to mystery. I can not wait to start reading the second book to this series.

This is the first book I have read from Brooke Page, but it won't be my last. I had not read the Conklin trilogy, but that wasn't a problem for understanding and enjoying this story. It is well written with likeable characters and has a good pace. Jamie is being stalked and we get flasbacks about the who and why, but it not all revealed. It creates a lot of suspense. Looking for ward to reading the next book
