A very interesting look at the political thinking behind Adlai Stevenson during his bids for the presidency. Clearly, he was the more 'educated' man in the bids for the Presidency in the 1950's. But, would we have ultimately gotten that great warning of the 'military industrial complex'? Recommend for a political, as well as historic, perspective of the time.

Some good speeches in here. Well-organized, and not too repetitive. It's interesting to see how many of his criticisms of the Republican Party sound similar to today's criticisms of the GOP. It's also an interesting look at what people said about the Cold War at the time.

But overall, I think you'd be better off with a broader look at Cold War politics.

If you're looking for the hoax quotes that prove Gogo is Adlai Stevenson (IYKYK), I can confirm that they are not in this book.
