There's something magical about falling in love when you least expect it. Breathtaking reunions and tantalizing new strangers offer six friends a second chance at happily ever after in this delightful contemporary romance Sensuality Sensual
Born in Philly, raised in the suburbs, I moved to the Northwest as an adult and, other than a year in England and a couple years in Montana, have happily lived here ever since.
My work life has been more complicated. I was a nurse, political staffer, lobbyist, association executive and community affairs consultant before I followed my passions to writing and art glass. Not as much money but a whole lot more fun.
In 2012 my life changed dramatically when several of the books I'd started out writing as mysteries were contracted for publication by Crimson Romance. Since June of that year I've had six books in the Second Chances series released as ebooks and trade paperbacks and a second series, A Holiday for Romance, begun.
Some of the characters in my books share my love of glass art--there's a gallery owner and a kiln-formed glass artist, a glass jewelry artist who has better luck making perfect beads than I do and, in the first Holiday for Romance book, a glass blower. It's an enjoyable way to share my love for glass art through my other love, writing.
All of the books take place primarily in the Pacific Northwest where I live but sometimes Philly, where I grew up. slips in. It's easy writing romances in such a beautiful setting!
I really enjoyed reading each story. The writing was good, the chstrasctets well developed and there was a mix of romance and suspense. The only thing I didn't like was Cynthia in one of the books who was predictably annoyed because she couldn't see that her mam loved her smh. Other than that I will read this author again.
Peggy Bird is not only an artist, but a GREAT novelist! She knows how to work a crowd! At 82, I THOUGHT I had nerves of steel! Forget that! Well done, Peggy Bird! I am going in for another dose!
It's not always easy to keep things moving along in a series while shifting the focus on new characters. These books do a great job staying fresh while maintaining the common thread.
Well a series of delightful stories. Nothing even close to each other except for the endings and they have the same point but none close each other. A delightful time was spent reading and enjoying each one I highly spending time with them.
These are the kind of books each one is a great stand alone yet the characters are mentioned in other books I enjoyed this set of books. Looking forward to other series of this kind.
Enjoyed reading each of the six stories. Loved the. Characterization of the men because it seemed they were the pursuers not the other way around. Refreshing and easy read.
This was my 1st ever romance novel. It was different. The stories flowed well; the characters were somewhat engaging. However, I probably won't read any more books in this genre because it's just not what I'm interested in.
