This book is clear, honest (no big promises), well-written and I really liked the inclusion of interview excerpts from established wellpreneurs.

But it was the logical steps in the "organic growth system" which really made a penny drop with me. To be honest, I've come across almost all this information before, but for whatever reason, this is the first time the pieces made such clear sense, and I was able to see the imbalance in my own efforts so far.

The online bonus materials are pretty good too and I look forward to listening to all the interviews in full.

I considered giving this 4 stars and coming back to it once I've actually implemented and made money as a wellpreneur, but that wouldn't be fair on the author. She's done her job, and done it exceedingly well. Now it's time for me to do mine!

A must read if you want to be a "wellpreneur" online

I picked up this book because I'm considering becoming a health coach and know that to have the kind of success and lifestyle I'm looking for, I need an online strategy and presence. I'm already very experienced in online marketing and business planning, and I was very impressed with the content in this book. The system Amanda outlines is spot on and absolutely what you should do to build a successful online business. Even with the knowledge and experience I already have, I got a lot out of this book to give me ideas. It got me on the road to planning and refining my idea. And I will definitely be checking out her podcast!

I loved this little guide on online marketing for wellness businesses! It was a gift from a fellow entrepreneur, and it was the perfect handbook to kickstart my career as a nutrition consultant. In it, Cook teaches what she calls the Organic Growth System, a step-by-step process for reaching your target audience and converting them into paying customers.

In order to utilize the OGS, you first need:
- a "why" or vision for your business
- a suitable niche & problem to solve
- valuable digital products & services
- an email list & opt-in gift
- irresistible content (blog, newsletter, social media, podcast, etc.)
- promotion plan (social media)

Once each of these are in place, the goal is to attract potential clients (via your free opt-in gift) to subscribe to your email list, where you can begin building a relationship with them—so that when they're ready to buy, they'll buy from you. This doesn't mean being "salesy" or spammy, but rather offering relevant, free content regularly with the occasional sales pitch sprinkled in. Trust is the backbone of any relationship, and the business relationship is no exception. Give your subscribers what they actually want, not what you think they need, and by solving their problem(s) for free, they'll trust you enough to invest in you.

The Organic Growth System, in a nutshell:

Promotion ---> Content ---> Free Gift ---> Email List ---> Nurture ---> Convert.

Not a bad guide to marketing online but I found it was more generic, rather than dedicate to health and wellness coaching and had the usual, grow your list, find your niche but without delving too deeply. There is some good advice, but it falls short a bit on actual detail. The best bits for me were the interviews and bonus content.

This is a fantastic book for anyone who wants to start and grow and online business, especially if that business is focused on wellness. Easy to read! I love how the author added exercises throughout the book to really give you first hand experience and walk you through the process. This book will help you get clear on how to make the most of the online space.

Great action items

Great stories about the struggle of creating a health business online that my colleagues and I identify with.

Also the action items are key to help identify and execute a plan.

Not terribly insightful. Not sure when the book was published so might have been insightful back then but the information is a bit basic and some of the case studies not relatable or detailed enough.

Marketing advice for the independent wellness professional to attract clients online. Highly focused on the email list and producing regular content. Timing is everything, and it isn't what I need at the moment. Might be a good reference though.

Fairly basic but well organized. I knew a lot of this but it was a good reminder of what needs to be done moving forward.

Going to read again

Absolutely amazing! I’ve paid significantly more for a course that gave less info than this book. Fills in all the gaps the other business books leave out.
