Kill Your Art: A Street Performer's Guide to being a Messenger of Jesus Christ

Rate this book
This is not a book about art that glorifies art. This is a book about killing your art and surrendering it to Jesus in order for your gift to reach its greatest potential. Philip Shorey, founder and director of the Suitcase Sideshow marionette theater, will take you through the creative process to discover what it takes—from a biblical perspective—to be an artist and a messenger of Jesus Christ using street performance as the creative medium. www.killyourart.com

I had the privilege to meet Philip Shorey. He is a humble, relatable, passionate, talented and inspiring artist. Kill Your Art is a solid, practical, engaging and motivating read! I read this book and immediately wanted to share it with my family. I am now reading it with my wife and tween children. The concepts and philosophies of this book translate to anything and everything you do. Art is the example however this book can be applied to every that is near to your heart. Kill it so it can LIVE!
