This is a prequel to Forsaken Riders MC Bad Boy biker series of NOVELLA length stories...

Jo and Kirsten think that they are just looking for a bit of adventure, but when they stumble across a small desert town full of unruly outlaws it looks as if they have found somewhere that at least one of them wants to call home.

The Forsaken Riders are like nothing Jo has ever seen. Red hot, beastly bikers with a hard edge that is screaming to be softened by the right woman. And Tanner is the one that wants her. She catches his eye in an instant and he is determined to make her his. With a broken down car and a stay in Slate Springs lengthening into something more, will the girls decide to stay, or will they leave the outlaw life behind them and try to repair their own damaged friendship?

One thing is for certain, great things are about to happen out in the desert, and a love like no other is about to shape the future of one of the baddest bike gangs in America.

Welcome to Slate Springs, and welcome to The Forsaken Riders.

I am just your ordinary stay at home mum...so just so happens to love writing hot tales of alpha males and the ladies that love...or at least lust after them. I live in the countryside in a far away magical place...but spend some time across the pond in the Big Apple too! I hope you love my shifter tales...and/or some of my biker tales too! Lately shifters have taken my fancy though...! Thanks so much for stopping by ; )

This is a short book that is the introduction to a series about the Forsaken Riders MC. Though I liked the characters in the book, it is really short and so, of course, contains an instant romance. I hope to read more of the series and see some longer plots and more developed characters.

Jo and Kirsten are off on one of their annual adventures. They are driving through the desert at night when suddenly a lot of motorcycles come up behind them and pass around them, turning off into the desert and disappearing. Kirsten is frightened, Jo is elated.

Jo has had a bad year. Not a whole lot of detail except that she was tricked by a man and ending up losing everything, including her job. She is searching for a meaning for her life. She wants to feel again. When the motorcycles appear and then disappear, she is suddenly sure that this is the place she needs to be. But why?

Tanner is a member of the Forsaken Riders. These are his brothers, his family. He loves his life, but there is something missing. He needs a woman to share it with, and not the painted women that hang out at the biker bar hoping to snare a man. He wants more. When he sees Jo in the convertible, driving through the desert in the middle of the night he gets a funny feeling that he should get to know her, but how?

The girls end up stuck in the little town near the MC clubhouse when their they have car trouble. Tanner and another MC member show up and tow the car to be fixed. Tanner can't believe his luck, there she is. Jo asks where is a good place to hang out in town. He, of course, tells her he will meet her at the local biker hangout that night for a drink. I will let you read the rest for yourself.

Tanner is a proud member of the Forsaken Motorcycle Riders in Slate Springs out in the desert and he is happy with belonging to the brotherhood of the Forsaken MC but wants to settle down and have a family too.

Jo and her friend Kristen are driving on an adventure with no destination planned and looking for a place to have some fun when the motor cycle gang passes them on a lonely stretch of highway in the middle of nowhere. Jo responds to the hot men on big bikes with a feeling of excitement and when Tanner comes to tow their car in for repairs, they connect. Jo has found the home she is looking for and Tanner finds the woman of his dreams.

The romance is fast, hot and sweet for Tanner and Jo.

I got this book as a free download since it caught my attention and I am going through a phase right now where I am all into that genre, and I am always looking for new Authors. Unfortunately it didn't do it for me, I know its a Novella so that it would move along quickly but the storyline just didn't seem realistic to me and I never connected with the main characters, it all seemed a bit juvenile to me, and lets not forget about the unprotected sex, a big no no. Having read lots of other books on the subject it just didn't measure up. I am sure Samantha Leal has a bright future and lots of people will love her books, but I won't be following the series.

This book was a pretty fast read. Not a lot of background on the main characters. Pretty much small hometown girl looking for excitement, on a road trip with a friend, meets motorcycle club and falls for one of the members. He falls for her, love at first sight, she can't think of anything else but him, so they get together and her friend drives off without her and leave her in the small town. I give it four stars because I love motorcycle club books, and I know it is a prequel so I wasn't expecting a lot. I will read the first book and see how it is before I see if I will continue with the whole series

This is a quick read which gave me the sexy bad*ss biker who lead the biker life in a desert and who had his eye out for a person that would love him and accept his biker lifestyle. Tanner never thought he would find that person on a on a deserted road at 3 a.m. Once his eyes made contact with this beauty with her hair blowing wildly in the wind he loved that she gave him every indication of being just as interested. Good thing her car breaks down after spending the night in this small town and one of the guys that shows up to help is none other than that hot biker from last night. This book was written that only had me wanting to learn more about the rest of these bikers as well.

Jo and her friend come into town and have car troubles, while getting that sorted out, Tanner comes to their rescue. Jo immediately feels the connection to him and cannot stop thinking about him. In this short romance, Tanner finally finds the one in Jo and shows her he intends to make her his and keep her forever, if she will have him.

Great read on the commitment and instant love that happens when you meet your other half.

Could be a good story though I see prequels as a story to let you get to know the people in the story. I think Tanner and Jo needed a real story. This was sweet but to rushed ;( Looking at the rest of the books I see this is the Authors way I just don't like rushed stories. O like the full book not novellas so I think I will pass this series up.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I loved all the characters. I was happy that Jo didn't listen to Kristin about Tanner. Those bikers are some very compassionate and loving guys. The go after what they want. Jo and Tanner got there grove. Great read.

Bad boy romance!!

What a wonderfully written story! I really enjoyed this one, very different from my usual reads. The story began quickly, pulling me right. Kept me there until the end! Can't wait to read the rest!

It's a cute book. Free so I thought, what the heck? The writing was actually really good and even though it was a love-at-first-sight kind of book that I generally don't like, this one was okay. However, I'm not sure if I'm up to reading the rest of the series.

This was a 3.5 read for me. It was good in the sense that it shows how Tanner and Jo got together but there was no real storyline or action. It's a quick easy read.
