Don't get involved with your target.
I repeat: Don't get involved with your target. It's the first rule of the trade.
What's the trade? Part of it is cleaning up and taking out the trash. I don't mean sweeping things under the rug or scrubbing out the laundry. I clean up the mess when things have gone so badly off the rails there is no other option. I make the problems go away, no questions asked.
The other part? I find things. Lost things, stolen things or those belongings of your wealthy banker buddy that you covet but can't afford. Anything is available for a price, pay me what I ask and its yours by whatever means necessary.
One of those things was Emma Jones. The client paid me handsomely to find her, no questions asked.
I never imagined what would happen next.
Bullets and Blackmail. Some secrets should remain hidden.

Other than the too-quick ending, I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

The Beginning Of The End

••• NOT for homophobic, transphobic, closedminded, or faint of heart!•••

This series must be read in order. This is the first book. I can't wait to read Lipstick And Ligatures!

Joey has been on her own for a very long time. She sees herself as a Thug For Hire and has no need for softness or weakness in her life. Women are just for getting her rocks off. Relationships are so not for people like her. When Dottie calls and tells her to come down it is a little weird but not completely out of the ordinary. Why does Dottie need to see Joey in person to give her the job? Who is this girl and what did she steal? Why did Dottie let her go in the first place? Why is Dottie so rattled? Does she really want the girl dead? If so, why the hesitance in the first place?

Meeting Emma changes EVERYTHING. Joey is torn, for the first time in her life, between her job and the amazing woman who totally captivates her. Why is Emma getting past her thick skin? How can she care about someone she JUST met this way? Or this much? Is there some way she can do her job and still keep the girl of her dreams from harm? What is happening to her? Or will her hesitancy just get them both killed?

***This series is suitable for adult readers who enjoy action packed thriller romantic suspense with miles lesbian erotica and a strong antihero who turns into an actual hero by the end :)

Very interesting story, with drama, lots of blood and gruesome beatings....but all in all comes nicely in this book....of course I liked the ending a lot.

Enjoyable.

I liked Bullets and Blackmail. There is quite a bit of violence, mixed in with hot sex and a motorcycle chase scene.

Action

This an action romance that captivates your attention since the first page. Joey or Joella is a magnetic kind of good/bad character and Emma is a femme good/naive and despite being opposites they found a way to love each other. I like Mrs Daniels versatile style in this genre, the right combination of twists and turns, fast pace and adventurous. A different Mish Daniels with her unique signature, I definitely recommend it.

Fun book

I enjoyed reading this story. It was gritty and rough but a lot of fun to read. Definitely liked the ending.
