Al-Saif, a rich influencer of ISIS stationed out of Qatar, takes credit for the USO Concert attack which took Akwasi’s life. Revenge seems like the perfect remedy, but things change when an SOS message received by John “Tex” Teegan has only four Tell Snake I’m alive.Snake is on a rescue mission to save the mother of his child, and just maybe his heart. For this SEAL, no one gets left behind.
Writing professionally since 2008, LeTeisha Newton’s love of romance novels began long before it should have. After spending years sneaking reads from her grandmother’s stash, she finally decided to pen her own tales. As many will do during their youth, she bounced from fantasy, urban literature, mainstream, interracial, paranormal, heterosexual, and LGBT works until she finally rested in contemporary romance.
LeTeisha is all about deep angst and angry heroes who take a bit more loving to smooth their rough edges. Love comes in many sizes, shapes, and colors, as well as with—or without—absolute beauty and fairy tale sweetness. She writes the darker tales because life is hard … but love is harder.
If Snake and goddess don't touch your heart, ya probably don't have one! Fast paced and action packed, I fell in love with Snake and his team as they ...well I don't want to give away any spoilers so I will just say, The love, tenderness and caring Newton wrote into her hardcore SEAL's melted my heart, Their intensity gave me shivers, and their witty banter made me laugh out loud. I read the books out of order, but it was fine, now I just want to go back and read the Protecting Butterfly! Well done. Fun, exciting, tense read. Loved the Passion!!
Akwasi “Goddess” Onwuachimba is the woman Viktor “Snake” Franklin loves and then lost to a misunderstanding. When “Snake” is told that “Goddess” has died in an ISIS attack on the USO Concert it shatters his heart and leaves him alone to raise the son he never knew about. "Tell Snake I'm Alive" is the SOS message received by John “Tex” Teegan, that sends Snake and his teammates to the rescue. Will they be in time? This book has everything a reader could want, action, romance, heartache and characters you will never forget. LeTeisha Newton brings the characters of her books and mixes in some of the characters from Susan Stokers books to create a wonderful story. I really love the way this book crosses over and I think you will love this book as much as I did. I’m looking forward to reading more from LeTeisha Newton in the coming years.
Cover: Professional and completely fitting. That’s obviously Snake on the cover. Editing/Proofing: Could use another pass but overall in good shape. Formatting: Clean.
Overall: This is a really good, quick read. In & out with some action and feels in between. Passed a bit of time while showing me more of the dynamic of this outstanding SEAL team/family. I liked the darkness, it makes it all more real, meaning I’m able to fully submerge into the read and have a break from my own real life.
Will keep definitely seek out more from this author.
The more I read about The SEALed Fate guys the more I fall in love with each and every one of them, and also their significant others... Snake and Goddess' story had so many emotions, that I had to walk away a few times because of the reality in the entire story truly gutted me. The camaraderie between all of the teams was phenomenal to experience while reading!!
This was another great story by this author in the Special Forces Operation Alpha Series. There are various author writing their stories in this series. I am loving all of them and I seem to be incapable at the moment to read anything apart from this very huge series by lots of authors about men in the Military. Loving it.
Wow- so many emotions, tons of action packed suspenseful moments. Surrounded by family, brotherhood, his brothers help him rescue the woman he loves from the people who hold her captive.
Ugh, the world of human trafficking is so disgusting. The dark theme of the novella did not distract from the story of love between Snake and Goddess. Starting the next book in this series.
I love the writing in this book. The characters are strong, loyal, and so connected with each other. The story has depth and suspense and excitement. The love is scarred and ends well. I love the way the author drew me right into scenes and characters. Very enjoyable!
This was a well written story . The characters are likeable and complex. The storyline is action filled and fast paced. The emotional journey that the characters experience brings you along step by step. Highly recommend!
Snake fell in love with Goddess the first time he saw her in concert. Then she was kidnapped and taken to Bahrain and was given to the head terrorist. Then one day she got a phone and called a number given to her so that Tex would know she was alive.
Whew! My heart pounded through most of this book. I loved these characters and the writing. This is definitely a page turner. So very well done LaTeisha Newton!
Gotta love those SEAL romances and this one does not disappoint! The characters were well developed and easy to 'get to know', which is a must for me in a good read. I love how Akwasi had her own career and independence, yet was still vulnerable when it came to her love for Viktor (aka, Snake) These two together are enough to blow the mercury right off a thermometer. Hot, Hot HAWT!
There was a perfect blend of suspense and violence (it's a SEAL story), sex (oh la la!) a love story and an education in the atrocity of human traficking. I also loved the camaraderie of the entire SEAL team. Each SEAL's nickname fit the character so well. The author did a great job!
Since this was a short read, I don't want to give spoilers, but I will say that for a short read, this one was packed full. Will Snake and his Goddess find their everlasting? And who is this darling little boy named Kondo? You'll have to read to find out.
Good one with a second chance love story all bound up with the SEAL's - Heim's team of which snake is a member, and Wolf's team, which has a secret weapon - Caroline. An even bigger and badder secret weapon is Jayla "Fox" and she wants to make sure all her family stays safe.
I deducted a star for some careless editing and some badly chosen words (all right, all right, I can't help it). This is a good one and Newton will be adding to the series again.
